CHAPTER 2
An Offer You Just Can't Refuse‘Are you ok with dancing?’ he murmured once they reached the dance floor
She shook her head ‘I do not dance’
‘You’re joking’
She shook her head, ‘the truth-‘she leaned forward ‘I don’t know how’
‘There is only one thing to do’ he murmured ‘I’ll teach you’
Her eyed widened and she burst into laughter
‘What’ he asked, trying to sound serious ‘is so funny?’
‘Even I know that someone can’t have a dance lesson at a ball’
‘What do you mean, I wonder’ he murmured ‘even you?
She said nothing
‘I guess then we will have to go dancing in the Terrance?’ he said, Changing the topic
‘The Terrance, isn’t that crowded?’
He leaned ‘Not the private one’
She smiled’ the private Terrance? And how would you know of that?’
Kyuhyun stared at her in shock, could she possibly not have recognized him? It wasn’t as if he thought big of himself, it was just that he was the owner of one of the biggest companies in Korea, everybody knew who he was.
‘Come’ he said, he pulled out his hand.
She took her hand in his and smiled. And she knew that her life had been changed forever
Everyone seemed to know who he was. Mi Young noticed that when he moved, the other people in the party had stepped out of his path. And when he had lied about the dancing, the other men didn’t argue and stepped away.
She sighed, she really was living the Cinderella dream, but when the clock stuck midnight, she’d be back to her life.
Before any of them could say anything, an accusing voice from down the hall suddenly called out ‘there you are’
Mi Young stopped breathing, she had been found out. She’d been thrown into the streets and-
The man that had called out had reached her side, and he was talking to the mystery man with her.
‘mum has been looking all over for you. You chickened out of your dance with Yuna and i had to take your place’
‘sorry’ the man with her murmured
‘well, I covered up for you with Yuna’ the other man exclaimed ‘you’re just lucky that i happened to be standing by. The poor girl’s heart looked broken when you turned away’
Mi Young looked at one man to another.
Even under their masks, it was more than obvious they were brothers.
And she realised in a blinding flash who they were.
