Eight: Drunken Truth ~ Last

Lost in Love

“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.”
― Nicole Krauss, The History of Love

(song: Drunken Truth)

“You should wear makeup more often. You have beautiful eyelashes too.”  The lady responsible for her hair and makeup commented, fixing Lilly hair for the last time and spinning her chair so she could face the mirror.

Lily stared at herself , she was like a model. Her hair seemed fluffier than ever, she looked beautiful with the simple yet well done make up. Lily’s old jeans and blue shirt gave way to a beautiful light green blouse and discreet black skirt. Every detail was thought off by SM coordinators and she never looked so beautiful. Sadly the occasion wasn’t a happy one.

Lily repeated to herself that lying about her feelings and what happened was necessary.

The press conference was going to start soon and she was starting to get nervous. She didn’t know how she would react when Onew appears in front of her. Should she talk with him or pretend that they were only acquaintances?!

“Can I ask you a question?” the lady, on her forties, asked with a gentle smile. Lily liked her and nodded in response.

“You are beautiful and young just like Onew. Did something happen between you two?”

“No!” Lily said right away, like it was a Pavlov response and blushed showing that lying wasn’t her thing.

“I see. I think he likes you. He always changes subject when he is asked about you and his eyes shine. Also he broke up with his girlfriend!”

“He really did?” Lily asked too quickly making the lady laugh.

“Yes. But you probably don’t care because nothing happened between you too right?”

“Right…”

Lily walked to one end of the hall to the other staring at her nice black high heels. She was afraid to fall with them and was practicing.

She stopped near the wall and turned around only to see a handsome Lee Jinki, wearing a white shirt and black pants, smiling at her, clearly amused with her actions.

“You are beautiful!” He said the smile never leaving his lips and eyes.

“Hi.” Lily greeted him while he stared at her, lost in his thoughts.

“I’m a little jealous knowing that everyone will know how beautiful you are! We need to talk today after the press conference…”

A door was open and a man dressed in a black suit, clearly a bodyguard came out with a vision in white, Young-Hee, wearing a fluffy white sweater and a white skirt that didn’t cover fully her beautiful white legs.

“What are you doing here?” Jinki asked surprised and his ex stared from him to Lily, the scorn evident in her eyes when she looked at Lily.

“I was asked to be on the press conference.”

“I don’t believe this!” Jinki complained upset. “Just come with me!”

For moments Lily thought that Jinki was talking to her, instead his eyes were on Young-Hee. She almost ran to him, locking her arm on his and they walked away leaving Lily behind like she wasn’t even there.

At first she felt hurt but then she kicked herself mentally for it. Lily was nothing to him, and today in front of all Korea she would say the truth everyone needed to believe, including her.

Nothing happened between them. She meant nothing to him. There are no feelings between them.

“What did you eat to survive?” a young reporter of a famous magazine asked.

Lily stole a glance at Jinki. The press conference started a few minutes ago and she couldn’t talk with him before it. She was at one edge of the table, a representative for SM entertainment by her side, then Jinki and finally Young-Hee. She wasn’t surprised to see Young-Hee there since she was still his girlfriend in front of the cameras, and who knows, maybe outside too. And since they wanted to destroy the rumors of Lily and Jinki relationship it was a good idea do put the famous actress in front of the cameras.

“We ate a lot of fruit and fish. We had to eat what the island had to offer to us.”

Lily stared at the end of the room, ignoring the flashes of the cameras, the group of reporters staring at her and the cameras rolling and bringing her face to every Korean home.

She fixed her gaze on a poster of two fishes, one inside a fish net and other outside it swimming on the sea. She didn’t knew where it was from but that was a good way to pretend she wasn’t in that room.

She felt the SM representative elbow her gently and she realized someone made her a question.

“How was for a woman to be lost on an island with only a man?”

Lily blinked her eyes thinking. That question wasn’t on the list of possible questions that they gave her to memorize and she was afraid to say something wrong.

“Ah…it was awkward at first…” Everyone was staring at her and she tried to look at the poster on the end of the room and pretend no one was on the room. “But after, I think it got comfortable.”

The room was filled with whispers and the stern look on the man’s face next to her made her realize that she didn’t say the right thing.

Jinki was smiling gently to her, clearly amused with her answer, knowing quite well what comfortable meant: kissing, hugging, holding hands and having were clearly comfortable.

Lily blushed looking away, her heart beating fast and her body and soul asking her to leave that room and run away from there.

Other reporters made questions about the island, their daily life; the events that made them get lost on the island…

“One more questions please.” The representative asked and one journalist wearing a gray suit raised his arm.

“Onew-ssi what is your relationship with Young-Hee?”

“We are dating!” She answered quickly, making Jinki send her a weird look. All room broke into giggles and Lilly suppressed a deep sigh of aloofness.

“We are not dating!” Jinki said silencing the room and making Lily stare at him surprised. What was he doing?! “We broke up and are only good friends now.”

“What are you saying?” the ex-girlfriend asked in a low voice pleading him to not do that in front of everyone.

“What is the reason?” the journalist asked, his eyes diverting to Lily.

OH NO….

“We don’t have feeling for each other. It’s simple as that. “

“Are you in other relationship?” someone asked while Young-Hee fumed.

“I said only one more question” the representative insisted with no avail cos everyone was asking new questions.

“Is it Lily-ssi?” “Are you two dating?” “What happened on the island?”

“What is your relationship with Lily?”

“None!” Lily blurted out making the silence fill the room. “Nothing happened on the island and I don’t have any relationship with Onew-ssi.”

Lily felt terrible for lying to everyone and herself.

“She is right!” Jinki said leaning to the microphone and staring at her. “Nothing happened with Onew because he wasn’t there. Lee Jinki was the one on that island…”

Everyone started whispering not understanding what he meant. Even Lily was confused but she didn’t have much time to think because he kept talking even though the man next to him was giving him the evil eye.

“Lee Jinki was there and he developed feelings for Lily. So something did happen on that island.”

“Feelings?” a woman on the front asked.

“We are going to end this here!” the representative said getting up.

“Friendship!” Lily answered quickly trying to amend things.

“Love!” Lee Jinki said making the room a complete chaos.

Young-Hee got up too and left the room angry, Jinki manager entered the room and whispered something on Jinki hear making him leave the room after him and Lily just stared at all the journalist in front of her making her random questions “Did you meet his parents?” “Are you pregnant?” “Are you dating in secret?”

She felt the SM representative grab her arm and pull her out from the room.

Lily was not an expert but in her opinion that press conference didn’t go well.

2vajnfo.jpg

Lily placed the beautiful clothes back on the hanger and grabbed her bag ready to go back home. She already changed into her clothes and finally she was free of that stupid press conference and all that confusion.

That press conference was going to make her known everywhere and not for the best reasons but at the moment even though she was scared for her and her family the only think she could think about was Onew and his lips pronouncing “Love!”

Could he really love her?! Furthermore, over Young-Hee?

Lily closed the door of the dressing room behind her and in front of her waiting was Onew with his arms crossed and a tired look on his face.

“You looked beautiful before but you still look beautiful now. Then it’s all you nothing to do with clothes…”

Lily blushed ignoring his awkward compliment.

“I have to go!”

He grabbed her hand gently preventing her from giving a step away from him.

“I’m an idiot most of the time, and I was truly confused on that island. But I’m not anymore! I know what I want and who I want. I want you! I told you Lily! I love you!”

“What are you saying?” she mumbled, her legs weak, her heart beating for him.

“I confessed to you on national TV. I got reprimanded by the company but I don’t care. I will keep confessing to you in all the media. You are my destiny!”

“What destiny! That doesn’t exist! I can’t believe you actually believe that!”

She stuttered making him smile.

“You believe in too. I know!”

“Jinki please!” Lily tried to pull her hand away but instead he grabbed her by the waist pulling her to his arms.

Lily backed away from him using her last strength to resist but his hand on her back drawn her again to him leaving no space between them, placing her where she belongs, his arms.

“Please…” she whispered, his lips dangerously close to hers, his eyes not leaving hers.

“I love you Lily!”

“You don’t!” she grabbed his shirt supporting herself. “It’s just a whim!”

“No! Lily, you are everything and you are so afraid to love. I won’t hurt you. I promised I would take care of you. You are sacrificing your own happiness because you are afraid.”

“I have my family to take care…” she said staring at his full lips.

“I have money; I can take care of them, buy you a new house and pay for your father medical care!”

“IM NOT ON SALE!” Lily said in a loud voice pushing him away. She didn’t care about his money.

Jinki pulled her again to him receiving an angry stare from her.

“I know! I didn’t mean it like that. I love you! I want to help you! Let me love you…”

Lily searched for another thing to say but her brain stopped functioning when all her blood was being pumped from her heart at full speed, when his lips touched hers.

It was wonderful to feel it again, the butterflies on your stomach, the gentle touch of his lips on hers, his hand caressing her back and climbing over to her neck to position her on a better way to deepen the kiss and do it just like she liked it. He knew her, he wanted her and he loved her, it was destiny!

But even though that kissed tasted like infinity what would happen after?! Jinki was famous, he had money and Lily was not like that.

She pushed him slightly, placing her hands on his chest but he didn’t move at first, his lips still exploring hers, at her lower lip gently, like he was killing the hunger he had for her.

Lily waited letting him have that moment, and letting herself enjoy it for a little longer before they ended it.

Jinki moved away, his nose nuzzling hers, his eyes still closed while a small smile graced his face.

“I love you” he repeated making her knees go weak to the point that she had to lean against the door behind her.

Jinki stared at Lily smiling like a lovesick idiot and she fought the urge to throw herself on his arms once again.

They stared into each other eyes until she moved intending to walk away. The fear winning once again…

“Lily…” he whispered from behind her while she walked away. “Please let yourself be happy…”

If Flora’s sister hated Jinki like she used to say she was really bad at it.

Flora could see Lily sneaking into her computer to watch his videos, sighing like a fool in love, the stack of magazines with Onew increased double only in one week, and sometimes she could hear her sister humming his songs while she washed the dishes.

It didn’t help that Lee Jinki wouldn’t stop wooing her sister.

It started when he showed up on the day after the press conference.

He knocked on their door and her mother invited him in. When Lily arrived home from work, Lee Jinki as eating cake and drinking tea like he was part of the family, laughing at Lily’s father jokes.

“What are you doing here?” Lily asked feeling betrayed staring at her mother. She knew what happened and still opened the door of their house to him?

“Jinki-ssi came to visit!” her mom said grinning. Lily sighed defeated staring at Jinki, his elbows on the table while he watched her every move. “I’m going to my room. You have ten minutes to get out of this house!” She said coldly leaving the kitchen. He quickly got up from his seat and followed after her to her room.

“Please get out!” Lily said feeling like crying. Why was he making everything more difficult for her?!

“I came to give you something.” He answered ignoring her harsh words.

Lily crossed her arms watching him taking a camera from his bag.

“It’s for you. For your pictures, like I promised.”

“Are you buying me?” she closed her eyes and rubbed the skin between her eyes. She was too tired to deal with all this.

“No. I promised…and besides you can be mean all you want. I won’t give up on you Lily.”

Lily grabbed the camera and stared at it.

“Thanks. You can go now!”

“I will! Your family is fantastic. You are lucky! “

“I know, so please don’t do this to them.”

“I’m not doing anything.” He answered sincerely.

“Yes you are. You are giving them hope of….forget It!”

“That I will marry their daughter?” he ended it for her making her blush. “I will someday!”

Lily pushed him away from her room.

“Go away please or….”

“Or will you fall in my arms?” he finished smirking knowing quite well what she was thinking.

“GO AWAY!” she screamed shutting her door on his face.

Jinki smiled like a fool because he knew she was almost giving in to him. He turned to go back to the kitchen, say goodbye to her parents when he saw two heads hiding quickly. Lily mom and sister were watching everything. He giggled and walked away from Lily’s room door.

Inside Lily sat on her bed touching her hot cheeks. Marry her? He meant that?! Well they already did what married people do… she stared at the camera on her lap and turned it on to see her face staring back at her;  the pictures he took of her at the restaurant. They were almost 50 so he was really busy. She couldn’t help but smile at some; he even took selcas of him with dorky faces and some with the members.

Marrying him would be more than wonderful; it would be a dream…

2vajnfo.jpg

“Again?” Lily said pretending to be mad when actually she was happy inside. She grabbed the bouquet of red roses and hid herself on her room. Every day he would send flowers, a stuffed animal or something cute that would make her remember him, like a simple seashell or a book about surviving on an island. Lily wished she had received that one before ending on that island.

It was already two weeks after the press conference and all the gifts and surprise visits to her house were melting her heart.

Reporters started following her and news of Jinki offering gifs were already out on the news. At first YouNew fans were angry but soon something curious happened. LiNew appeared and somehow a dozen of websites dedicated to Lily and Onew relationship appeared. Lily couldn’t help but giggle at the comments. Jinki fans actually wanted them to date, how cute was that?!

For multiple times she decided to give him a change but once Jinki appeared in front of Lily wearing his branded clothes and gracefully greeting her with a white smile she would lose all her courage and send him away.

Lily was afraid. Afraid to get hurt again, afraid of the media, afraid to hurt her family, afraid to live her life for once and jump into a relationship…And he knew and kept pushing and pushing not giving her space to breath.

The next day when she opened the door Jinki was on the other side smiling at her. He didn’t let Lily say anything and kissed her cheek.

“Good morning my love!” He greeted entering the house and leaving her behind staring at his back trying to make her brain work again.

“What are you doing here?”

“I have a present for you!” He took something from his jeans pocket giving it to her. Lily sighed waiting for another silly gift like a seashell or PINee Key chain, but instead he took a piece of paper

“Ticket?”

“To our concert! Come and watch me sing for you.”

“I don’t want to.” She said placing the ticket on the kitchen table and grabbing a mug to drink her coffee.

“You hurt me.” He suddenly said surprising her. He was no longer smiling instead his eyes were filled with pain. “I spent these last weeks practicing it so it would be perfect not for our fans but for you. I had to almost plead so I could sing a song for you at this concert and you say you don’t want to go and listen to me?”

“I…”

“I’m getting tired! I never once lied to you about my feelings. I’m trying really hard risking all my career to make you step outside and for once fight for what you want.”

“I never asked anything from you!” Lily answered upset and Jinki only stared sadly at her.

“You didn’t have to. I would throw it all away if I could be with you.”

Lily grasped the ticket and gave it to him without saying anything. She was afraid she would cry if she opened .

“This is what you want?” Jinki asked scanning her eyes.

She nodded and he walked outside the house. He was going to turn around and say something else when Lily closed the door on his face like she did a couple of times before. Somehow today it was different, he was hurt with her.

“YA!” Jinki screamed from outside startling her. Was he crazy? He would wake up everyone, including the neighbors and maybe even one of the reporters that used to lurk around her house.

“I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU LILY! LEE JINKI LOVES YOU!”  He screamed like a mad man and Lily leaned against the door, her nails hurting the palm of her hand; the pain preventing her from opening the door because if she did, she would give in to him.

“I will wait for you at the concert! I’ll leave the ticket here at the doorstep.” He said whispering from the other side. Jinki knew she was listening to him. “I’ll sing for you and if you don’t show up I’ll….” Saying those words were hurting him but he needed to that for his happiness and hers “I’ll give up on you. Are you listening Lily? I won’t appear here anymore, you won’t see me, I won’t talk with you…can you live like that? Cos I can’t…so please…please…come see me sing today.”

Lily waited a few minutes, tears falling down her eyes but he didn’t say anything else so he was gone. She opened the door slowly and no one was in sight so she grabbed the ticket and closed the door again.

“You should go!”

She jumped turning around. Her dad was grabbing a chair for support and was watching her.

Lily cleaned her tears quickly with her hand and she grabbed his arm helping him sit.

“What are you doing up?”

“A crazy person was screaming that he loves my daughter.”

Lily giggled and her dad grabbed her hand making her sit on the chair next to his.

“You are precious to me. You and Flora are my treasures. When you disappeared I thought I lost you and I realized that all this time you weren’t living your life. It’s all my fault.´”

“No. Don’t say that. I was the one who wanted to help with the expenses…”

“I know” he caressed her cheek. “I know. And you still can help us and be happy with someone.”

“Dad he is famous.”

“So what? You are famous now too.”

“You know it’s not the same thing.”

“He is right! You are afraid. Don’t be afraid Lily! Didn’t almost dying on that island teach you anything? You are wasting your life. Do you love him?”

Lily swallowed staring at her hand on his dad’s.

“I do!”

“Then why are you afraid?”

Lily didn’t know what to say. She wasn’t even sure why she was so afraid to love Jinki.

“Besides I like him. I want him for my son-in law!”

2vajnfo.jpg

“I want an iced coffee please.” Lily walked behind the counter and gave the order back to her colleague. She stared at the clock on the wall. The concert already started and he will sing for her but she won’t be there. It all will be over. She couldn’t help but get back to the sunny days on the island, their screams of happiness when they played on the water, the way he stared at her s…That ert!

“You are thinking about him aren’t you?” Min, her colleague asked.

“Him?”

“Yeah. Onew! I’m a LiNew shipper remember?”

Lily giggled pulling her hair into a ponytail.

“I don’t even understand why people ship us.”

“Because its true love! Destiny!” Min answered in isn’t-it-obvious kind of tone.

“WHAT?” what was wrong with everyone saying that?!

“Can’t you see it Lily? You won a stupid contest for a cruise and Onew surprisingly got time off; somehow you met and end up alone in an island and fell in love. That’s destiny! It’s so damn romantic and perfect! I don’t understand why you don’t have babies with that man!”

“Just marry him!” the old lady that used to visit the coffee everyday said from her seat. “You two are so cute together!”

Lily blushed and gripped the counter, what was wrong with everyone?!

“Destiny…” Lily mumbled.

Suddenly a song started to play on the radio, a song that made Lily freeze. The same song Jinki sang to her every night on the island, Moonlight.

Destiny! It seemed like the world was pushing her to him and slowly she took off her apron.

“Can you do the rest of the shift alone?”

“Surem why?” Min asked curious.

“I have a date with Lee Jinki.”

“I can’t believe it!” Min answered grinning and grabbed Lily hands “Really?”

“You said it, its destiny and who am I to go against it?!”

“The concert already started! You have to be quick!”

“I can give you a ride!” One costumer said standing up from his table.

“Great!” The world was definitely helping them.

2vajnfo.jpg

SHINee was ready to go on stage. Onew did everything to delay the start asking his manager once in a while if she did arrive yet. He gave her a special VIP ticket so he could know when she arrived but no signs of Lily yet.

“She isn’t coming!” he said defeated siting on the bench. Jonghyun sat by his side and patted his back.

“Are you really giving up on her?”

Minho asked fixing his microphone. Taemin and Key were watching him too and he didn’t know what to say. Jinki should give up on her, but he didn’t know if he was capable of doing that.

2vajnfo.jpg

Lily made a small stop before arriving at the concert venue.

She run up the steps and to the door of the venue but it was closed.

“It started already so no one can enter.” A man with a black suit, clearly the security man said.

Lily stared in defeat at the door with the banana plushie she bought on her arms. She was too late!

“Wait!” the man grabbed the ticket on her hand. “Follow me!”

Lily was escorted by a special door and into the room filled with shawols screaming and SHINee music. She watched SHINee dance on stage delighted. Never once lily was at a concert, let alone one where the man she loved was singing and dancing. The security man held her arm so he would catch her attention.

“You can sit there” he pointed out to a couple of red seats, the VIP area.

“Can I go there instead?” she asked pointing to the standing area where shawols were screaming and waving their lightsticks.

“If you want!” the man said raising his shoulders confused with her question. Why would someone change a VIP seat for that?!

Lily walked to the middle of the shawols trying to get closer to the stage. She received some stern stares but she didn’t care. Her mission was to get closer to the stage and closer to him so she could make her plan work.

SHINee left the stage throwing the room into darkness and making everyone blink when a white light illuminated the stage where Onew was standing alone, dressed with a white suit like a prince, his light brown hair neatly combed and his eyes searching the VIP area.

OH NO!

Lily shook her banana plushie in the hair screaming his name, bus she was just another fan and his eyes didn’t even move to the area she was at. The banana plushie was her idea to make him look on her direction but she never thought SHINee had so many fans.

“I was going to sing this for someone special. You all know who she is…I just wished she was here! “his eyes moved to the floor, smiling shyly and sadly and the fans hurt with him mumbling a “oh” in unison.

Lily screamed his name again with no result.

“This one is for Lily!” he said after a while. The beginning accord of Drunken Truth started playing and the fans screamed when he started singing. For once Lily was happy that she had shawols around her not leaving her space to breath because she lost all strength on her body.

You’re right, I may be drunk

This may be a mistake.

When morning comes, I may act like I don’t remember

And act uncomfortable around you.

But tonight there is something

That I absolutely have to say.

“It’s beautiful!” a girl said next to her and Lily felt like crying since he meant every word he was singing. He did choose that song for a reason.

I apologize for my current state,

But please don’t think that I am just saying this because I am drunk.

Whenever I am in front of you

I prepare myself to say this

But I always say the opposite thing,

Turn around and regret it,

Lily shook the banana plushie once again, pushing other shawols who complained. She didn’t care anymore he was going to sing it, she knew the lyrics of that song. That was the sad song he sang to her on that night, the one she didn’t recognize before. But know she knew it, she would listen to it every night, so she could get back to that Island and that night, and be his once again.

But now I will declare to you

That I have loved you from the start.

I love you so much

Even if my sloppy declaration

Seems corny or unbelievable,

It is not something I am just saying.

“I LOVE YOU TOO! LOOK AT ME!” she screamed trying to move in the middle of the fans but he kept singing, closing his eyes, feeling the song, his voice even failing a little.

“Wait. You are Lily!” a girl with brown hair said staring at her. “You came! SHE CAME!” suddenly the other girls started noticing her.

“Give way to her!” they started moving around letting Lily pass. She couldn’t believe that was happening to her. His fans were helping her.

Lily walked the narrow corridor shawols made to her, smiling or touching her slightly admired that Lily that girl who stole their idols heart was there on the middle of them.

Lily couldn’t move more when she reached the security grate. She screamed his name but Jinki kept singing.

This isn’t something I say to just anyone

I’m not that kind of man.

I feel as awkward as you do

I can’t even look you in the eye.

“He is finishing the song!” yelled a shawol with cat hears and a t-shirt with Key’s name.

“Throw the plushie!” someone yelled from behind Lily and she did what she as told. She threw the yellow fluffy banana with all her strength.

Onew stopped singing almost immediately, the music still playing while he stared at the big banana plushie in the middle of the stage.

Suddenly a small chant beginning on the standing area started to get bigger and bigger while more and more shawols screamed it.

“Lily! Lily! Lily! Lily!”

Onew rose up from the chair and grabbed the plushie staring at all shawols chanting Lily’s name. She was there somewhere and shawols wanted him to see her.  His eyes scanned the crowd until they fell on an awkward girl with teary and hopeful eyes watching.

“You came!” he said breaking into a huge smile making all the fans scream at the sight.

Jinki walked quickly down the stage his face being recorded on the screen while he ran to the place Lily was standing. One of the security man opened the gate for her to enter the prohibited area and she walked in his direction, making them meet halfway.

She didn’t know what to do. Hug him? Grab his hand?

Lily didn’t have to think anymore because he gently intertwined his fingers with hers.

“I’m sorry!” she whispered trying to fight the tears.

Jinki only nodded pulling her into the stage. She followed him hand in hand, hearing the screams of all shawols chanting “Destiny”, the word Jinki used in all interviews when he talked about her. Lily never lived a moment like that and she was certain that she was living a dream.

Onew stopped in the middle of the stage giving a sign to the sound technician so he could play the song again.

From the corner of her eye Lily saw the other SHINee members watching from backstage.  Minho gave Jinki a quick thumbs up and Lily giggled with their cuteness.

Jinki gestured for her to sit on the chair and he placed the banana on her lap.

The song started playing again and he sang the song from the beginning, his eyes not living hers, his hand holding hers not intending to let it go, shawols singing with him making the moment even more special.

Lily felt special, loved, and for the first time she wasn’t afraid anymore. This was the right thing. Even if it wasn’t destiny she would make it her destiny.

But tonight I’ll tell you everything.

I love you so much

Even if my sloppy declaration

Seems corny or unbelievable

It is not something I am just saying

I’ll probably never do something like this again

But as the night becomes light

I will hold you in my arms once again,

And tell you that I love you

I love you

That night all LiNew shippers celebrated since their ship was finaly sailing.

Lily waited, watching from the backstage, until the concert was over. Jinki was incredible and he looked so happy. Knowing that she was capable to make him feel like that was the most precious thing.

After the concert she waited at the waiting room, reading the messages on the congratulations cards fans and friends left for SHINee.

The door opened and Jinki entered the room, wearing a simple gray shirt and blue shorts. He looked like a normal guy and Lily couldn’t help but smile like an idiot. He was her boyfriend now!

Jinki didn’t say anything and just hugged her tight; this time she didn’t try to pull him away, instead she hugged him back.

“I’m so happy!” he said kissing her cheek and neck making her giggle.

“I’m happy too!”

His lips brushed against hers and she opened welcoming his. He missed kissing her and he took his time. Lily hugged him while he kissed her, not fighting her feeling anymore.

“I can’t believe you came!” he said hoarsely stealing little kisses from her red lips.

This was the right time to say it! Lily wasted all the right moments and this time she wanted him to hear it.

“I love you!”

He smiled caressing her cheek and tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.

“This is the first time you say it.”

“No! I told it to you before!” she blushed while he stared puzzled at her “At the island, in the morning of our first night, but you were sleeping.”

“You did?” he asked sweetly kissing her lips once again. He couldn’t get enough of it. “I wish I was awake back then.”

“I was the first to say it!” Lily commented circling his neck with her arms.

“No!” he said firmly caressing her arms around his neck. “I was the first! Lily haven’t you heard the song? I love you for a while now! I wasnt actualy drunk, not on alcohol at least, but caught up on the moment... “

She was confused so he started explaining…

Jinki stared at the stars outside while he caught his breath. Lily snuggled closer to him and he pulled her closer.

“Are you ok?” he asked kissing her forehead.

“Yes.” She said with a weak voice, not because she was sick but this time because of what they had done.

Jinki closed his eyes, his lips searching hers that answered right away.

He never though he would do something like that. Sleeping with someone he only knew for a short time was new to him but it was perfect in every way. It was like she was meant for him.

He watched her close her eyes breathing hard while she rested her head next to his, her lips touching his neck, their legs tangled. They were one and he couldn’t help but smile.

“You are so beautiful…”

“Hm.”

“Are you sleepy Lily? Perhaps tired?” he asked giggling naughtily.

Lily didn’t answer and he caressed her shoulder.

The silence of the night only disrupted for the animals sound and the waves of the sea was everything they could hear. Jinki was afraid to ruin the moment but his heart was bursting so he needed to say it. It was important that she knew that it wasn’t only it was much more than that.

“I love you!”

He waited for her answer but it didn’t come so he stole a glance at her and found her sleeping peacefully on his arms.

Maybe it was better that way.

“oh!” Lily exclaimed after he told her what happened.

“I should have told you in the morning or in the ship but I don’t know…I never thought you would run away from me!”

“Shut up!” Lily said cupping his face with her hands and pulling him to another kiss.

Maybe the world did conspire to make them meet. Maybe Jinki dreams really meant something. They would never know!

Jinki grabbed her hands on his and stared into her eyes.

Lily wasn’t afraid anymore. It was time to start fighting for her happiness for once and he was it, everything she ever needed.

They could make both their world meet! They survived two weeks alone on an island so they would survive anything together!

Now they had a life time to make their relationship destiny, and a life to understand what made them fall for each other.

“I love you!”

He waited for her answer but it didn’t come so he stole a glance at her and found her sleeping peacefully on his arms.

Maybe it was better that way.

Jinki wasn’t the praying kind but that night he prayed. He prayed for a boat to come rescue them and save her. He didn’t care about anything else. She was more important to him than everything else and if it was really destiny that boat would came and save her.

What cruel destiny would make him meet her just to take her away from him?!

 That’s what he believed.

So the next morning when he saw the boat he was sure.

It was meant to be…

THE END.....

for now...since i already wrote an epilogue for it!

Do you want a or no in it?

I vote for no since this is too cute...but Im willing to write two versions, a and a none one!

Since some readers seem to want some Lily and Jinki action!

Tell me what you think! =D

What did you think of this lovely story and this huge chapter filled with cheesiness?

Love ~

Chapter 3: I'm glad you "updated" to get this one out there again. Just imagine being on a deserted island with your bias. I'm melting at the thought, plus melting I don't do while in the heat but deserted island sounds more fun if it is tropical.
