Reunion

The Walls Of The Heart

The weather is not so nice. Kim Taeyeon wakes up to the sound of the rain drops on the window.
She opens her eyes. In her dreams she went everywhere but in reality she's only in her rather small sized room.
Taeyeon grabbed her phone and saw the time. She still had about 3 more hours...
Today she would start her first job. She was going to be a chauffeur. The truth is Taeyeon's parents never had much money.
Her parent's worked for the Hwang family for as long as she can remember. Her father was the chauffeur to the Hwangs and her mother was the chief maid in the house.
For their years of service Taeyeon's parents received a small house inside the grounds of the Hwang mansion. Taeyeon only went to the mansion twice in her life.
It was an amazing place. Everything was bathed in gold and neatly polished, marble columns and expensive furniture, everything was...plain rich. Now that her parents unfortunately did not have the money to give her superior education.
Taeyeon was also going to work for the Hwangs. Their daughter Tiffany was comming from the US and she would need someone to drive her arround and show her Korea. Preferably someone who knew the place.
Which made Taeyeon the perfect person for the job, plus her parents put in a good word for her. She couldn't let them down. Taeyeon planed to work for at least an year to gather enough money for her studies.
Taeyeon opened her eyes again. She looked at her phone and quickly got up. She only had about an hour and an half before the plane landed.
She took a quick shower and brushed her teeth she then made a Ponytail with her long brown hair. She put on her black woman's suit, grabbed the car keys and left. Her trip from home to the airport was quick.
She then stood by the arrival gates with a little piece of cardboard saying *Tiffany*. Still about 15 more minutes before the plane landed.

*How will she be? Is she pretty?* Taeyeon thought. The truth is Taeyeon and Tiffany Hwang had met before. When they were kids they used to play together and have fun but the truth is that even as kids they knew they lived in different worlds. And that was also made clear by Taeyeon's parents.
Taeyeon's mother didn't like that her daughter was playing with Tiffany, the daughter of the family she worked for. Of course this could be ill seen since Tiffany was almost royalty and Taeyeon was a nobody.
And in the end the two kids were separated and it has been about 13 years since Taeyeon last saw Tiffany. Tiffany was sent to foreign countries to study. She now came back home to assume a decisive role in her father's companies.
Taeyeon looked at her watch. She looked at the arrivals board. The plane had landed. She stood firm her heart beating faster for some reason she could not understand. That's when...

-"Hello" A girl with a bright smile said to Taeyeon.

-"You are Taeyeon? Right?" She said.

Taeyeon on the other hand was completly speechless it was like she saw an angel coming to earth.
Tiffany seeing that the other girl was completly day dreaming started waving her hand in front of Taeyeon's face.

-"Hey? Hello? Uhuhu?" Tiffany said as she waved her hand.

-"Ugh? Oh I'm terribly sorry, yes I'm Kim Taeyeon, I'm gonna be your chauffeur" Taeyeon said as she slightly bowed.

-"I'm hungry... Aren't you hungry? The food on the plane was awful" Tiffany said.

-"HuH? Me? Hungry?" Taeyeon was dumbfounded. Why was she asking if she was hungry?

-"Yeah, you know that feeling you have when you don't eat" Tiffany said as she broke off into laughter.

Taeyeon was even more dumbfounded to see the girl smiling and laughing so lively she even clapped her hands multiple times like a seal.

-"Hmmm, yes I'm a bit hungry" Taeyeon said as she looked down to the floor and started fidgeting.

-"Okay then let's go" Tiffany said.

Taeyeon grabbed some of Tiffany's bags and carried them to the car she then opened the door for Tiffany and got in the driver's seat after.

-"So? Where to M'am?"  Taeyeon said.

-"M'am? No need for that, you make me feel old." Tiffany said.

-"I remember when we used to play together you would call me...what was that again?"

-"Fany..." Taeyeon whispered.

-"Yes, Yes, that's it. You can call me that" Tiffany said.

-"Okay. So where to Fany?" Taeyeon said with a smile.

-"Take us somewhere...somewhere normal"

-"Humm. Normal?" Tayeon asked.

-"Yeah, somewhere you would hang out" Tiffany said.

-"Very well" Taeyeon said.

Taeyeon's mind was totally confused. She was expecting Tiffany to be more...more. She was, different. A person with money that doesn't behave like one.
Taeyeon couldn't help but be dumbfounded. But still Taeyeon knew she had to behave like an employee and not like Tiffany's friend.
Even though deep down in their hearts they still knew everything about each other.  And still felt that friendship they had years ago.
Taeyeon knew Tiffany was different and she wanted to know her better.

-"Ah, that's it. Stop the car" Tiffany said.

-"What?" Taeyeon asked.

-"Stop the car, that's it" Tiffany said.

Taeyeon pulled over. She looked at Tiffany who was smiling.

-"Thanks" Tiffany said as she opened the door and left.

-"Yah!" Taeyeon screamed.

Taeyeon also left the car and pursued Tiffany.
Tiffany entered a noodles restaurant and sat down.

-"Hey!" Taeyeon screamed startling everyone inside the restaurant.
Realizing it she slightly bowed and muttered
-"I'm sorry" multiple times

Taeyeon sat in front of Tiffany.
-"What's wrong with you?!"

-"Wrong with me?" Tiffany asked.

-"Why would you leave the car like that?! That's dangerous!" Taeyeon said.

-"Look here my job for the next year is to take care of you and drive you wherever you want but you have to behave and do the-"

Taeyeon realized Tiffany was already long gone from her seat.

-"What the..."

-"Where is she?" Taeyeon muttered.

She looked outside and at the park across the street. Tiffany was sitting in of the benches eating her noodles.
Taeyeon facepalmed. She left the restaurant and crossed the street. She sat next to Tiffany.

-"Fany" Taeyeon said.

-"Hum?"

-"Please behave as I say or you'll make me lose my job"

-"Ugh? Lwose Ywo Jub?" Tiffany said as she had full.

Taeyeon facepalmed.

-"Yes. You'll make me lose my job. I have to take care of you for the next year"

-"I don't want you to lose your job"

-"Okay, then you have to behave okay?"

-"Okay" Tiffany answered.

-"Now give me some of those noodles" Taeyeon said smiling.

Taeyeon couldn't help but be surprised by Tiffany. She wasn't expecting her to be like this. She was...a kid. She was still a kid in her heart.
