Kangin POV

“hmm… which one do you think is the best soju to accompany our dinner?” i asked Kris to break the awkwardness

“uhm.. i-i-i think this one, s-sir” he answered nervously

“alright then! pick 6 for us”

“b-but..there are only four people…”

“ayy..it’s just for us, Kris! don’t tell LuHan and his Ma, because they hate drinking” i chuckled but i saw Kris still tense

we walked the shop in silence. i felt Kris seemed afraid with me. Actually, the reason i asked him to go out with me is to answer all my thoughts about him… and my son, LuHan.

Since the first time i saw him in my son’s apartment, i knew that he wasn’t just my son’s friend. the way they looked each other, how sad LuHan was when he knew that Kris will leave. i guess it wasn’t just a friendship.

luckily, my wife, YoonJi, also has the same thought with me. i chose to talk with Kris and she will talk with LuHan.

“he’s my only son” Kangin suddenly said and it made Kris startled

Kangin just wanted to continue to speak but stopped when he saw Kris suddenly knelt down front of him and bowed deeply while saying

“i’m sorry, sir… i am really sorry… but …i-i love him… ilove your son… i love LuHan so much…i’m sorry”

“Kris, stand up! don’t be like this!” Kangin said as he helped Kris to stand up

“i’m sorry to say this but i promise to your son that i will never leave him. so, whether you bless our relationship or not, i will stay beside LuHan, no matter what. because we promise that nothing and no one can separate us, even it’s you, his parents, Sir!”

Kris took a deep bow again and again while kept repeating “i’m sorry”

Kangin POV

Honestly, i was amazed with this young man. he is so brave, he figth for his love to my son. but i also couldn’t hide that i feel disappointed with them

“you know… he’s my only son! i already arranged some plans for my son. I want him to have the best education. i want him to lead my company later. i want him to have a family like me, with a good wife and good child”

i sighed before continued

“but i realized that i cannot control someone else’s life, even my own son’s life. because he has his own life which he will pass by his own way

thus, since i cannot always look after him, i need to find someone the best who can take care of my only son like i do or maybe better than i can do

i also will do anything to make him always happy. because i live just for my family’s happiness

and… if one thing that will make my son happy is you… what can i say?” i finished my speech and looked at Kris

“s-s-sir?”

i put my hands on Kris’ shoulder and smiled “take care of my son, Kris! protect him with all your best! love him more than you love yourself! and if you dare to hurt him even just a bit, iswer i’ll never let you meet him the rest of your life”

i looked at Kris who just stood still. when  just wanted to walked, Kris suddenly hug me from the front and said

“thank you… thank you so much, sir… thank you!”

from his voice, i could know that Kris was crying in happiness. i patted his back to make him calm.

“o-okay Kris… it’s enough! people are looking at us now and i can’t breathe” i joked and Kris released me from his hug, chuckling

“i promise, sir! i promise i will take care of him. i’ll give my all my love and my life for LuHan! i promise!”

he said as he squeezed my hand

“i know you will!” i smiled “now, let’s go home! i’m hungry”

i startled when i saw
