i know…

i know that there’s something in this apartment… in my son’s apartment…

i know that there’s something between my son and the boy named Kris.

i know the ‘something’ between them… but i have to make it sure first whether my guess is right or not.

first time we met, Kris opened my son’s apartment’s door and greeted us politely. we shocked, especially my husband, Kangin. well, he was very strict to his own son, including about friends. he never allowed friends to stay in LuHan’s apartment. the reason is because he just wanted to keep focus on study. for Kangin, make friends just wasting time.

now, he saw a stranger boy, sat closely beside his son. i knew lots of thoughts, maybe bad thoughts, in his mind now. but i don’t want to ask and talk about it. my main purpose here is just to visit my only son and share happiness with him. unfortunately, LuHan didn’t seem so happy to see us.

just like this time, LuHan sat near us after put two cups of tea in front us. then, he sat by keeping his head down, playing with his fingers nervously, and put a long face. sometimes, he stole a glance to Kris who was packing his things from the guest room. LuHan seemed so sad when he heard Kris is going to leave.

“Ma, can i excuse myself…uhm..i want to help Kris…if you d-don’t m-mind…” he asked nervously

i just nodded and he went right to Kris. he closed the door making me couldn’t see what’s going on there.

“yeobo, i am so tired! can we go to sleep now?” Kangin asked me after a while

“okay… let me check the room first” i said as i left him sat relaxingly on the couch and closed his eyes

when i already in front of the bedroom’s door, i saw the door was slightly open. at first, i just wanted to go inside but i paused when i heard a silence sob from the inside. i decided to knock first before opened the door

“Hannie…” i saw them stood awkwardly, keeping distance to each other. i saw LuHan wiped his cheek, like he just cried

“y-yes Ma?”

“Hannie, are you crying? are you okay?” i asked worriedly

“i-i’m okay, Ma… do you need something?”

“uhm.. yeah.. i just wonder whether the room is ready or not. your father is already tired and he wanted to go to sleep”

“yes, you can use it now, Mrs. Xi” Kris answer politely

“are you going to leave now, Kris?” i asked as i saw Kris picked his heavy bag

Kris just wanted to answer my question when Luhan cut him

“NO!!” i  startled with the high tone in LuHan’s voice. i never heard LuHan raising his voice like this.

“uhm.. i mean… no, not today! Ma, can Kris stay in here one more night? please? we… we… our project hasn’t finished yet. please?”

LuHan pleaded me with teary eyes

why LuHan looks so… suffered….

“uhm.. okay.. but where he will sleep?”

“in my…”

“on the couch!” Kris cut LuHan “i can sleep on the couch, Mrs. Xi!” Kris continued without looking at Luhan. i saw LuHan once again looked at Kris with the please-don’t-go-because-i-don’t-want-to-lose-you expression

“uhm.. okay then…”

“Thank you, Mrs. Xi. now you and Mr. Xi can use this room” Kris said as he excused himself and walked out the room without looking back at LuHan.

tonight i couldn’t sleep. yeah…i thought about my son and Kris. they’re friends, yes. but i think their eyes when they looked each other indicating that they’re more than just friends. but… is it possible? maybe… they?
