Just as a promised, Sae and Jaejoong went on a date at the wedding day of Sooyoung and Taisuke.

“Where do you want to go?” Jaejoong asks.

The two met at the front of the cake shop.

“Anywhere as long as I will not think about the wedding.” Sae said.

Jaejoong thinks suddenly.

“I know!” Jaejoong said. “Let’s go.”

“Wait.” Sae said. She opened the door of the cake shop. “Girls, we’re going.”

“Ne. Bye!” Paruru, Sayaka and Hyoyeon said.

“Jaejoong, take care of Sae.” Sayaka said.

Jaejoong nodded and thumbs up.

“Have fun on your date.” Paruru said.

Sae and Jaejoong went to the Han River.

“Do you know what I am thinking when I am here?” Jaejoong asks.

“What?” Sae asks.

“Host.” Jaejoong said.

Sae thinks. “Host?” she asks.

“Host. The monster in the movie.” Jaejoong said.

“Ah… The Host.” She said.

Jaejoong laughed.

Sae’s expression is whether to laugh or not.

Jaejoong stopped laughing. “Is not funny?”

“Not funny.” Sae said.

“Araso.” Jaejoong said.

Jaejoong puts down his back pack.

“What’s inside your bag?” Sae asks.

“Things that we are going to use.” Jaejoong said. He opened the bag and took out a blanket. “Help me put this on the ground.”

“Are we going to have a picnic?” Sae asks.

“You go it.” Jaejoong said.

‘Picnic? That’s what I really hate the most.’ Sae thought.

She wants to say it to Jaejoong but she is shy to say it.

Jaejoong starts to take out the foods and beverages from his bag.

“Wow! Bento box.” Sae said. She opened the lunch box. “Did you make all of this?”

Jaejoong proudly nodded.

“Sugoi!” Sae said.

“What?” he asks.

“I mean great.” Sae said. She starts eating the lunch box. “Mmmm… Oishi.”

“Do you mean delicious?” he asks.

Sae nodded. She can’t speak because is full.

“Are you living alone?” she asks.

“Ne. Why do you ask?” he said.

“Because usually men living alone knows how to cook.” She said.

“What about you? Do you know how to cook?” he asks.

“Of course but only Japanese foods.” She said. “Sayaka knows some Filipino dishes and sometimes she cooks some of it.”

“You live together in an apartment?” he asks.

“Ne. We live in an apartment near the cake shop. Japanese people are only allowed to live there unless if you have a connection like skeleton girl.” She said.

“Then if I have a connection with the owner I can live there too?” he asks.

“Probably.” She said.

Just then, the rain starts to pour down.

“Omo! It’s raining.” Sae said and covered her lunch box. The two hurriedly puts everything in the bag and went to a closer shed.

“Nice one for our first date.” Jaejoong said.

Sae laughed while looking at Jaejoong’s face.

“Why?” Jaejoong asks.

Sae points at the ketchup on Jaejoong’s lips.

“You looked like a vampire in a modern day.” Sae said.

Jaejoong wipes the ketchup.

“I looked like bitten someone on her neck and drinks her blood.” Jaejoong said.

“You’re right.” Sae said.

“Do you think there are real vampires this day?” Jaejoong asks.

“Maybe.” Sae said. “I want to meet one. I’ll make a time machine and go to the past where vampires are famous then I will take one and bring him or her here.”

“As if you knew how to make a time machine.” Jaejoong said.

“You don’t know but maybe in my next life.” Sae said.

Moment of silence.

Sae sighed. “The weather is on my side.” She said.

“What do you mean?” he asks.

“It rain on their wedding day.” She said. “I heard that their wedding held outside.”

“Well, it is blessing.” He said.

“For skeleton girl it is a curse. She hates getting wet on the rain.” She said.

“How did you know?” he asks.

“I once saw her when I am going home from my work. It suddenly rain that time. I didn’t bring an umbrella and also she. We both run towards the apartment building and when we are now in the elevator, she keeps on cursing the rain.” She said.

“Do you love the rain?” he asks.

“Ne but not the storm.” She said.

“Everyone doesn’t like storm.” He said.

“Right.” She said.

Jaejoong puts down the bag and pulls Sae on the rain.

“Hey!” she said.

“You love rain, right? Then, let’s play on the rain.” He said.

Sae looks up and feel the rain falling on her face. She feels good. She feels like the rain washes the heartache she feels inside.

She doesn’t know that Jaejoong is staring at her.

Sae and Jaejoong went back to the apartment building when the rain stopped.

“This is not the date that I planned.” Jaejoong said while waiting for the elevator.

“But it is fun playing on the rain.” Sae said. “Thanks for this memorable date.”

Jaejoong smiled.

The elevator door opened.

“Will I see you tomorrow in the cake shop?” Sae asks.

“If only you’ll buy me a cake.” Jaejoong said.

“Araso.” Sae said.

“I’m just kidding.” Jaejoong said.

“I’m serious. It is my reward for you for making me happy today.” Sae said.

“If it is a reward, I will accept it heartedly.” Jaejoong said.

“Bye.” Sae said.

“Bye.” Jaejoong said.

The elevator door closed.

As soon as Sae enters their apartment, Sayaka is waiting for her.

“So, how’s the date?” Sayaka asks.

“Well, it didn’t happen as he planned because of the rain but I had fun.” Sae said.

“I can see it in your eyes.” Sayaka said. “Do you think that he is the one?”

“What do you mean?” Sae asks.

“Well, you know the guy that will replace Taisuke in your heart.” Sayaka said.

“Isn’t it too early for that?” Sae asks. “As for now, Jaejoong is a friend. I am comfortable being with him.”

“When will your next date?” Sayaka asks.

“Sayaka, we didn’t talk about it.” Sae said. “Stop asking me such questions. I’ll just take a shower before I catch a flu.”

Sae went to the bathroom when the doorbell rings.

Sayaka opened the door. “Hyo, why are you here? And what’s with the luggage?”

“Sayaka, can I stay here even for a while?” Hyoyeon asks.

“What happened?” Sayaka asks.

To Sayaka’s shocked Hyoyeon cried.

“Omo! What happened?” Sayaka asks.

“Eunhyuk has another woman.” Hyoyeon cried.

“Omo! That monkey? He dares to have another woman?” Sayaka said. She let Hyoyeon in.

Eunhyuk is Hyoyeon’s boyfriend and currently living together in the same house.

“Tell me everything.” Sayaka said.

“I saw him on top of her in our living room.” Hyoyeon said.

“Did you ask him for his explanation?” Sayaka asks.

“I don’t need his explanation!” Hyoyeon said.

“Babo! Maybe there is a valid reason why you saw them in that position.” Sayaka said.

“There is?” Hyoyeon asks like a child.

Sayaka sighed and rolled her eyes. “At least you didn’t throw a frying pan to them.”

“I didn’t.” Hyoyeon said. ‘I think?’ she thought.

It was dinner time when Sae’s handphone rings.

“Moshi moshi… What is it, Rena?” Sae said. “Eh?!!! W-We’re coming.”

“What happened?” Sayaka asks.

“He’s back.” Sae said.

Sayaka drops the bowl of rice. Good thing, Hyoyeon is fast. She caught the bowl of rice.

“Hyo, stay here. We will be back.” Sayaka said.

“Araso.” Hyoyeon said and starts eating.

Sayaka and Sae are rushing towards the fire exit since they are going to the floor above them. They didn’t notice a guy that busy moving in the apartment that Taisuke used to live.

When they arrived at the floor above them, they saw a drunken man knocking the door of Matsui sister’s apartment.

“Yah! Ahjushi!” Sayaka angrily shouts. “What are you doing there?”

“Yah! Mind your own business!” the drunken man said and knocks the door again.

“WEEE-WONG… WEEE-WONG…” Sae copied the sound of the police siren.

The drunken man was startled and immediately left.

“Am I good at pretending the police siren?” Sae asks.

“Sugoi!” Sayaka said.

Sayaka and Sae went to the apartment of Matsui sisters. They knew the password.

“Oneechan!” Jurina is crying.

“Are you alright? Where’s your mother?” Sae asks.

“Mama is in Jeju for her work. She is staying there for a week.” Rena said.

“We’re scared.” Jurina said.

“Pack your things. You’ll stay to our apartment until your mother gets home.” Sayaka said.

“We already packed our things when father came.” Rena said.

“Let’s go before he goes back.” Sae said.

As soon as they open the door, the drunken man came back. He must have thought that there are no police.

“Finally, you opened the door.” The drunken man said. “Jurina, come with me.” He said and pulls Jurina away from them.

“I don’t want to go with you! Oneechan, help me!” Jurina shouts.

“Leave her alone!” Sayaka said with her eyes scarily widening like a mad gorilla. She kicks the drunken man and pulls back Jurina. “Run!”

Luckily, the elevator door opened because a neighbor gets in the elevator.

“Arigatou.” Sae said and immediately closed the door before the drunken man runs after.

Sae pressed all the elevator buttons so the drunken man doesn’t know where they are going.

As soon as the elevator door opened on their floor, they get out.

“Gomene for pressing all the buttons.” Sae said to the neighbor.

“No problem at all.” The kind neighbor said.

They run passed the open apartment of Taisuke and Sae noticed the guy busy putting all his things inside the apartment.

“Jaejoong?” Sae asks.

“Hi!” Jaejoong greets.

“What? When? Why?” Sae doesn’t know what to say.

“I’m your-”

“No time to talk. I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Bye!” Sae said and gets in her apartment.

The drunken man came from the fire exit.

“Did you see four girls here?” the drunken man asks.

Jaejoong knew that he is talking about Sae, Sayaka and the two girls. Jaejoong shook his head.

“Damn! They have gone to another floor.” The drunken man said and left.

Inside Sae and Sayaka’s apartment…

“What happened to all of you? You look like you were chased by hundreds of demons.” Hyoyeon said.

“Hyo, they are going to stay here for a while.” Sayaka said.

“Why? What happened?” Hyoyeon asks.

Sae told her their situation.

“It is worse than my situation.” Hyoyeon said.

“That’s why you need to go back to Eunhyuk.” Sayaka said.

“I don’t want to!” Hyoyeon said and pouts.

“Let’s eat. I’m starving.” Sae said and went to the dining room. Her eyes widened when she saw all the empty bowls and plates. “Where are the foods gone?”

Hyoyeon smiled innocently. “They are all in my stomach.”

“You ate all of our food?” Sayaka unbelievable asks.

“I got hungry after crying.” Hyoyeon said.

“You got hungry after crying? What are we going to eat now?” Sayaka asks.

“Let’s just order a pizza and chicken.” Sae said.

She was about to order when the doorbell rings.

Sayaka opens the door. “Jaejoong.”

“I bought chickens and pizzas. I am thinking if we can eat these together.” Jaejoong said.

“You’re just in time.” Sayaka said and let him in. “Why are you here anyway?”

“He moved in.” Sae said.

“Really? But you’re Korean.” Sayaka said.

“I talked to the owner of this building and it happened that I knew him.” Jaejoong said.

Sae stares at him suspiciously.

“What?” Jaejoong asks.

“What what?” Sayaka asks.

“She’s staring at me in a suspicious way.” Jaejoong said.

“Sae, don’t be like that.” Sayaka said.

“Can we eat now? I’m starving.” Jurina asks.

“Sure. Sure.” Sayaka said.

“Jaejoong, do you need help in moving?” Hyoyeon asks when they are eating.

“Aniyo. I only have few things and I can do it on my own.” Jaejoong said.

“What about your appliances?” Sae asks.

“I can buy tomorrow.” Jaejoong said.

“Jaejoong, I am just curious.” Sayaka said. “What is your job?”

“I am working at night.” Jaejoong said.

“Night club?” Sayaka asks.

“Akimoto Sayaka!” Sae yells.

“I mean I am working at the office at night.” Jaejoong said.

“Office employee?” Sae asks.

Jaejoong nodded.

“Where’s your family?” Sayaka asks.

“Do you have sisters or brothers?” Sae asks.

“Girls, what’s this? Interrogation?” Hyoyeon asks. “He is very kind to share his foods to us but you keep on asking him about his private life. So, why are you always go to our cake shop? Do you like Sae?”

“KIM HYOYEON!” Sae and Sayaka shout.

“Sayaka oneechan, Sae oneechan.” Rena called them.

The two look at her.

Rena looks at Jurina who is staring at them amazingly.

“Is that how you interview a suitor?” Jurina asks.

“No!” they said.

Jurina nodded and eats the chicken.

The adults decided to eat silently before Jurina learned something again.
