Jongin sighs as he lifts the phone to his floppy ear. With his job moving him away from his family, it had months since he had last seen his pups. 

"Hello?" a deep voice answered and Jongin smiled brightly, his tail whipping back and forth excitedly.

"Hey, Chanyeol," he replied.

"Hey, Jonggie! I miss you!" his husband cooed, placing a sickenly cute kiss against the phone.

"I'm pretty sure I miss you more," Jongin laughed, "how are the kids doing?" 

"I think they miss their mother even more than I do," Chanyeol chuckled. A happy smile spread across the younger's face when he heard the subtle pitter patter of feet and several pleas to speak to mommy. Jongin heard Chanyeol russle with his phone. "Say hi to mama everyone!"

"HI MOMMY!!" three voices rang out excitedly. Jongin's tail wagged even faster.

"Hello, my beautiful pups! I miss you! I miss you!" Jongin made several kissy sounds into the phone, inciting several happy giggles.

"Alright, you pups," Chanyeol started, “time to get ready for—” he coughed “—school.” 

"But I thought—”

"AH AH AH!" Chanyeol said loudly before there was silence.

"Chanyeol?" Jongin asked confused.

"Sorry, babe, they need some help getting ready... I love you, Jongin!" A soft smile bloomed on the younger's face.

"It's okay. I love you, too, Chanyeol."

"Goodbye, my love."

"Bye, Chanyeol."

A few hours later, a light knock echoed through Jongin's apartment. Sighing, Jongin hauled himself up from his desk where he had been working. 

"Who'd be here at this hour?" he muttered softly to himself as he approached the door. He peeked out the peep hole, but saw nothing. Eyebrows creased, he unlocked the door and swung it open.

"MOMMY!!" 

Before Jongin could even react, three tiny bodies attached themselves to his waist and lower legs, tails whipping against each other. Eyes wide, Jongin looked up to find his husband smiling brightly with a bouquet of flowers resting against his shoulder.

"Chanyeol! W-What's going on?!"

Chanyeol grinned, "You know that house we were saving up for over here? The one you thought we were still months from being able to afford?" Jongin nodded dumbly as tears formed in his eyes, "Well, I didn't tell you that we've had enough for a few months, and I may or may not have bought it last week and had most everything shipped over already. We've been here for a few days."

"Chanyeol!" Jongin said loudly, swatting at his husband as tears fell down his face, "Why didn't you tell me?!"

"So I could see you cry so happily like this?" the older giggled as his distressed, but exceedingly happy husband swatted at him again before pulling the taller down for a loving kiss.

"Ew! Mommy and Daddy are kissing!" one of the pups said as all three burst into a fit of giggles. Jongin pulled away from his husband and turned to the kids, smiling brightly.

"Let's go home, everyone."
