After decorating the Christmas tree and added the final touch, which is the Christmas lights, both of you rested on the couch. Your head was resting against his shoulder, hands intertwined.
"Babe, how was your past Christmases like?"
"I always spend it with people I love~"
"How about last year?"
"Actually, it didn't go as well as I hoped"
"Why?"
"My ex broke up with me during the Christmas eve."
"What? You didn't tell me that!"
"It's not that important. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have met you!"
"What do you mean? If I'm thinking what your thinking, you'll be spending this Christmas alone again!"
"Don't worry. She and I were only together for about 3 months. I guess we don't really match since it didn't hurt when she broke up with me. It still to celebrate Christmas that way but that's life. I have to move on. And that lead me to you~"
"Yeah~ I remember. I bumped into you outside the bakery shop. You almost made me fall my gingerbread house"
"I saved it didn't I?"
"You sure did."
"How about you? How was your past Christmases?"
"Last Christmas wasn't as bad as yours. Although, it did hurt a bit"
"What do you mean?"
"I wasn't in a relationship like you but I did like someone."
"I confessed to him a couple of days before Christmas. That day when we bumped to each other was the day he rejected me"
"Let me guess, he's the recipient of that ginger bread house?"
"Yeah~ I gave it to the beggar at the side walk instead"
"Seems like our last Christmas weren't really good ones"
"But we had our family that time and its all about celebrating His birthday. I still manage to be happy. Like you said, we have to move on"
"Well, we don't have to worry about that anymore" he said kissing you on the forehead
