The timeline: 3 years later...

Has it been that long already? The times have changed and the people did too like the season has. The goosebumps of finally realizing of how long it was made me feel uncomfortable but refreshed at the same time. I have finally learned to live a life that had me and my heart decided. The things that happened to me in the past may still sting but for some reason I can still hold my head up high and be okay with it. And just to test with my theory...

I stood on the same place I stood 3 years ago. I looked up to see that the oak tree was still in its place, the grass was still green and the air is as fresh as I have remembered it. My heart beat fast as I slowly began to remember the things that I have went through for the past years at this very moment. NO! It's not going to bother me. I promised myself earlier that I can overcome this. I must.

As I opened my eyes, all i can here is the sound of the breeze that ran through my skin. I walk towards the oak tree and sat down for shade. I did let out a big sigh unsure of what to do, when all of a sudden a familiar face popped out of nowhere.

"You're back?" as much as I wanted to cry the moment I saw him, I couldn't help but miss him the most.

Smiling back at him, I managed to reply a nod and a "I'm back..."
