Myungsoo’s P.O.V

I smirked inwardly when I saw the familiar figure at the reception counter this morning. It really is her, the Park Jiyeon I loved so much in the past. I coughed a few times to clear my throat before calling out to her.

“Park Jiyeon-ssi, my new secretary for the time being, right?”

And as expected, she was shocked by my presence here. “Y-Yes, Mr. Kim, I am here to re…” Before she could even finish her sentence, I started talking. “Please come up to my office right now, I will tell you on what you are supposed to do in this one month, alright?” And without waiting for her reply, I walked towards the lift and went into it, up to my office, with curses in my head. How dare she appear in front of me after causing me such pain 5 years ago?

Jiyeon’s P.O.V

After working for the whole day with Myungsoo, I was glad that he didn’t pick on me by making me do impossible stuffs. Instead, he was just as professional as any other company directors, and had personal stuff and work stuff separated clearly.

Throughout the whole day, I kept on observing him. Despite not seeing him for these few years, he still didn’t change. Whenever he is stressed, he would start frowning and his eyebrows would form a ‘V’ shape. And whenever he is nervous, he would bite his lower lips. There were times when he bit it so hard that his lips started bleeding.

I enjoyed working with him and during the day, I couldn’t help but wonder how life would be like if we didn’t separate with each other.

“Jiyeon-ssi. Hello? Earth to Park Jiyeon?” I blinked my eyes twice and shook my head to clear my head up when I heard a voice calling me, to see Myungsoo’s face in front of me. I moved a step back and let out a nervous laughter to see Myungsoo cocking one of his eyebrows up in confusion. “Is something wrong?” I shook my head rapidly and upon seeing so, he gave me a smile and patted my head. 

“Not going home yet?” The moment I heard this, I remembered Baekhyun telling Junhee that he would fetch me home from work today. I took a glance at my watch and realized I was already 15 minutes late from the agreed time. “I am going home now. Thank you Mr. Kim, see you tomorrow.”

I was about to run off when I felt a hand grabbing onto my wrist. “Don’t call me Mr. Kim, we were friends, I mean, lovers in the past isn’t it, Jiyeon? Just call me Myungsoo.” I gulped and froze in my current position upon hearing so. I turned back and took a look at Myungsoo to find a smile on his face. He continued talking before letting go of his hand. “You can call me Myungsoo when work ends. Just maintain a professional attitude during work time and call me Mr. Kim. Oh, and don’t forget, you can only call me Myungsoo, and not the other nick names that we have had in the past.” With that, he turned around and walked off.

Myungsoo… If only you knew the real reason to why I left…

Baekhyun’s P.O.V

As promised, I brought Junhee over to fetch Jiyeon from work and we have been waiting for the past 15 minutes and she still was not in sight. Jiyeon is not the type of person who is late for no reason. I was about to take out my phone and call her to check up on her when Junhee shouted for Jiyeon.

Upon hearing so, I looked up immediately to see Jiyeon walking down the stairs with a hurried look on her face and I couldn’t help but smile at that sight. She is just so cute, isn’t it? I stepped out of my car and went to the other side to open the door for Junhee. I kneeled down and was prepared to carry him, but instead of allowing me to do so, Junhee ran straight towards the direction where Jiyeon is at.

I stood up and closed the car door and when I turned around, I was greeted at the sight of Junhee standing in front of a man around my age, with them looking at each other. I squinted my eyes a little, to get a clearer sight of the man and a lady, and I just couldn’t believe my eyes. What is Myungsoo doing here?

Myungsoo’s P.O.V

Right after the encounter with Jiyeon, I smirked in victory. Every word that I said to her was on purpose. I deliberately reminded her to not call me by other names that we once used in the past, and the fact that we were once lovers, was to inform her indirectly that I didn’t forget anything from the past that happened between us.

I went back to my office straight and when I opened the door, I was greeted by the loveliest lady sitting on my chair.

“Kim Myungsoo, did you go skiving again?” I smiled and walked over to her and placed a peck on her cheek. “Chorong baby, you know I will never do that right?” She smiled and stood up, wrapping her arms around my waist. “Of course I know that idiot. Anyway baby, I have booked a reservation at our favorite restaurant! Let’s go and have dinner shall we?”

I nodded my head and called my chauffer to pick us up at the entrance before heading out. With her hands wrapped around my left arm, the both of us took the lift and went towards the entrance. The both of us was so engrossed in talking and because of that, I didn’t realized that there was a kid running towards my direction until we both collided. I looked down towards the boy and he looked up towards me and for some reason, I couldn’t help but find the boy familiar.

Just when I was still deep in thoughts, I heard Jiyeon’s voice shouting for Junhee.

Jun…Hee?

Upon hearing his name, the little boy that bumped into me ran towards Jiyeon while shouting the word mummy.

Mum?

Junhee… Mummy... Jiyeon…This can’t be, right?
