[NEWS] WINNER TV GETS BETTER AND BETTER WITH SPORTS COMPETITION & HORROR SESSION 

YG Entertainment’s new group WINNER (members: NAM TAEHYUN, KANG SEUNGYOON, SONG MINHO, KIM JINWOO & LEE SEUNGHOON) is making Friday night exciting for everyone.

WINNER TV aired on Jan 24 at 10 pm on Mnet featured WINNER having a winter sports game in Japan, while being tricked by the staffers in the horror session.

First, the neck-and-neck sports competition excited the fans. The members seemed to show off their masculinity in the first race, but started cheating by going in each other’s way. LEE SEUNGHOON seized the gold medal, devoting all his energy in it, while KIM JINWOO came in second.

The roll-of-the-dice flag race was sleighing with what they had. They used trays, tubes and other daily products for sleighs, and SONG MINHO slid down smoothly and quickly with his tray. LEE SEUNGHOON, the gold medalist, ambitiously tried sliding with a frying pan, but was out in the first round.

In sumo wrestling, LEE SEUNGHOON and KIM JINWOO showed how to wrestle right. Out of 3 fights, LEE SEUNGHOON won twice, once again winning the gold medal. The fierce fight of the two and the members’ loveable dance captivated the audience.

WINNER was tricked into a horror session when they were told it’s an interview. It even gave the audience the chills. Individual member was taken out of the hotel room for the interview, and the audience was entertained when they completely freaked out.

When a ghost dressed in white appeared, KIM JINWOO let out a short scream, while LEE SEUNGHOON stepped back in horror.

KANG SEUNGYOON on the other hand had no reaction to the scary ghost, and in fact wittily used the props as the microphone.

NAM TAEHYUN started blabbing nonsense when he saw the ghost, and voluntarily dressed up in the ghost’s white to frighten SONG MINHO, who was next in line.

SONG MINHO shook in horror when he bumped into the big man with the face of a joker. He ran for his life when he saw the white ghost, not knowing it was NAM TAEHYUN underneath the costume.

The five members captivated the audience when they unveiled their version of 2NE1’s hit song ‘Missing You’, reinterpreting it acoustically.

WINNER TV is a follow-up of YG’s previous survival audition program WIN: Who Is Next, aired by Mnet, which draws on the daily lives of the new group WINNER that was formed in the previous program. WINNER TV kicked off on Dec 13, and is aired every Friday at 10 pm. There are a total of 10 episodes in the span of 10 weeks.
