What's happened?

His messy, ebony hair was always unnaturally soft. He had eyes the shade of the ocean, and if I stared into them long enough, it would feel like I was drowning in those pools. His full lips were this seducing shade of rose, and his voice was husky, but oddly calming. He was optimistic, unlike me, not that he was always full of smiles, but he always believed that that was a silver lining on every cloud.
