Title: For Blood and Honor

Plot: MC has been raised as a warrior for his/her entire life

Very modest, honest; the "perfect" hero

Trained in the art of the sword and very skilled

Lives a humble life with his/her master and trusted comrades

One day, as a teenager, a raid on their temple, the Bloodless Sun

Invading men wear feathered helmets and use strange shaped swords and spears

The raid manages to capture temple

All, if not most, of warriors are slaughtered

MC is captured and in line for execution but succeeds in slipping away

Nursing his/her wounds in a far off place, plans to recapture temple

Years pass, MC forgets about the raid

Meets another warrior and falls in love

A raid, similar to the one long ago on the place MC calls home

Lover is killed and MC remebers his/her vow

Sets off to find these mysterious raiders

Traces them back to an old rival temple, the Blood Moon

The action begins; MC fights against waves of enemies to reach the temple

Only to face his/her best friend, believed to have died in the first raid

He had made a deal for the members of the Blood Moon, Cardinals, to destroy Bloodless Sun, in return to be made as a high leader in the Blood Moon

MC engages the former friend in battle, and emerges victorious

Fakes his/her death in order to live out remaining days in peace

Possible Twists:

MC could die from battle against the antagonist

MC falls in love with antagonist and aids in fulfilling antagonist's plans. Now that's awesome. xD

Yep. And the names of the temples made me chuckle. You saw what I did there? Sun and Moon? Bloodless and Blood? Alright I'll stop now.
