- Seunghyun got drunk - 

“I can’t believe we had a fight last night.” Seunghyun’s voice was slurred and groggy, and judging from the third empty beer bottle that he had gulped down in an instance, it was obvious that he was drunk. Or at least that was what the bartender had suspected, it’s only every night that one of his costumers would come crashing down at the bar and drink all their problems away. But for this one, it seemed that the problem just intensified its self more.

“I’m sorry, man, but I don’t think you should drive yourself home.” The bartender said with a concerned look on his face. And to prove his point, Seunghyun completely slumped down on the counter, the side of his planted on the polished wood, random words still coming out of his mouth.

“..I’m sorry..” Seunghyun kept muttering. And since the other customers where already giving him the looks, the bartender sighed and signalled one of his waiters to help bring the drunk to the room at the back so he wouldn’t disturb the other customers.

A friendly waiter came and helped bring the too-drunk–to-even-move Seunghyun towards the back.

“Wife problems?” The waiter tried to guess.

“I don’t think so, he kept mentioning this Jiyong guy.”

“Oh..”

“Anyway, try using his phone and check the contact list, someone should at least bring him home to wherever he lives, and that someone is not going to be me.” The bartender told the waiter.

“Yes, sir.” The waiter replied, sporting also another concerned look on his face as he watched Seunghyun slumped down on their little couch at the employees changing room.

The moment the car screeched to a stop, spraying a few snow on the side walk, Jiyong jumped out of the car and hurried towards the bar. Jiyong was driving almost at home from work when Seunghyun’s phone called his, and before he knew it he was already making his way towards their usual bar. Seunghyun had gotten himself too drunk to even drive home, and what’s worse was that Seunghyun wasn’t the type to even drink.

And Jiyong had never felt so guilty in his life.

Seunghyun got drunk because of him. Because of their mindless fight last night.

Shaking his head, Jiyong tried to keep his thoughts of what happened last night at the back of his head, he needed his focus now, Seunghyun needed him.

“Excuse me.” Jiyong ran towards the counter.

“Yes?” The same bartender from before answered him, turning to look at him while drying down some shot glasses.

“Uhm, I’m here to pick up Seunghyun. Someone called and said that he’s drunk and….” Jiyong started explaining rather hurriedly, adrenaline still pumping because of the sprint he just made.

“Oh, he’s at the back. Seungri, can help you with him.” The bartender called for this Seungri person who happened to be the same waiter that helped Seunghyun a few minutes earlier.

“Thank you.” Jiyong bowed down as he followed Seungri towards the room.

After a few struggle, they managed to haul Seunghyun in the back seat of Jiyong’s four wheeled vehicle.

“Thanks again, he doesn’t usually do this.”

“Oh it’s okay.” Seungri smiled showing that it didn’t mind him.

“I’m Jiyong by the way.” Jiyong said as they finally closed the door at the back.

“Well it’s a good thing he has a friend like you to bring him home then.” Seungri added as Jiyong sat at the driver’s seat, readying the car. And with that Seungri went back inside to continue his work.

“I’m no friend.” Jiyong muttered, feeling as guilty as ever. He looked up towards the backview mirror, feeling responsible as to why Seunghyun was slightly at the back, drunk.

“I’m the worst fiancé ever.”

“Why did you have to get drunk?” Jiyong heaved as he pushed Seunghyun down on their bed. Huffing from the extra effort he had to do because Seunghyun was just not cooperating with him. He single handedly dragged Seunghyun form the front door towards their bedroom. And now, Jiyong was too tired to even stand so he slumped down the floor instead.

“It was only a fight, you didn’t have to get drunk.” Jiyong sighed as he leaned his head on the side of the bed, his hand caressing Seunghyun’s black hair.

With that Seunghyun slurred in his sleep and sooner or later he opened his eyes and squinted at the light from above.

“Ah , sorry.” Jiyong stood up immediately and turned off the lights and the lamp shape sitting on their side table instead. Seconds later, the room was filled with a calming yellow glow.

“Yongie..” Seunghyun called out for him, and just like before Jiyong was by his side in an instant.

“How are you feeling?” Jiyong asked, kneeling down on the floor again, hands checking to see if Seunghyun’s having a fever or something. He didn’t really know what to do because he rarely get drunk himself but he wanted to help.

“..I should be asking you that..” Seunghyun said, looking at the side to where Jiyong was. And Jiyong got surprised by the sincere smile on his face.

“I’m sorry about last night. Never.. never in my life would I have wanted.. to see you like that. Forgive me, Jiyong.”

Jiyong shook his head in disbelief and stared at the tiled floor at those words. Seunghyun should never apologize to him, he did nothing wrong.

“There’s nothing to apologize for. I just.. I just got surprised I guess… I’m never really close with my parents and knowing that you planned a meeting with them without me knowing.. I just..” Jiyong tried to explain but as he did, little by little he saw how stupid his reason was. Seunghyun was only trying to make him happy, inviting his parents to their wedding. And what did he do in return? He got mad at him.

Jiyong was just a coward as always to face his own parents.

“Why is that, my love? Wouldn’t you want them with us at the altar?” Seunghyun managed to ask.

“Of course I want to, they just.. they’re not totally with me with this gay thing. And a wedding would really.. I mean… ” Jiyong whispered, losing words to say.

A warm hand caressed Jiyong’s cheek and guiding his head up again facing Seunghyun.

“I get it, I’ll cancel the meeting with them if that’s what you want. We’ll talk to them some other time, when you’re ready.”

“..thank you..” Jiyong whispered back, smiling at how caring his fiancé was even though he was still drunk.

How did he even manage to make this person fall in love him was a mystery. Jiyong was the most awkward and cowardly person he, himself, knows yet Seunghyun still loves and puts up with him. And now look at what happened, Seunghyun got himself drunk because of him.

Stupid, Seung. I’m not worth getting drunk over.

And speaking of being drunk, the stench of alcohol was starting to make its self known.

“Aish, let’s change your clothes. You smell like alcohol.” Jiyong chuckled, standing up from the floor about to turn around to get some sleeping clothes for Seunghyun until a hand gripped down on his and held him back.

“You’d still marry me right?” Seunghyun grinned up at him and Jiyong couldn’t help but stare back at him. Even when drunk, Seunghyun would still want to marry him. Even after all the stupid fights and bickering, even after their little arguments, Seunghyun would still chose to marry him. At least, judging from that smug drunk smile though.

And Jiyong couldn’t help but sport in a smile back.

“Idiot.” And Jiyong swooped down for a sweet kiss, he didn’t care if Seunghyun smelled like alcohol, he would always kiss him.

“Of course, I would.”
