You decided that it'd be best if you went to the lesson, after all you'd get in more trouble if you didn't turn up.

You walked into the class that you had been in this morning.

It was empty.

You hoped that maybe the teacher had forgotten and had gone home.

But since you were already here, just in case you were wrong: you'd wait a bit.

You sat there regularly checking your phone.

10 minutes later and still no teacher.

Surely it'd be ok if you left now.

Either way: you'd deal with it tomorrow, you thought.

The chair creeked as you sat up and you jerked the door open.

It was quite creepy walking around the school at this time: normally full of people, having it so empty made it eerie.

You weren't afraid of the dark: only the things that lurked in the shadows.

It didn't help that you kept hearing some thudding nosie as walked along the corridor to the exit.

You constantly kept glancing over your shoulder, only to see the darkness staring back.

Even though it was in time with your footsteps: you knew it wasn't you.

You just hoped some student hadn't left yet and was just trying to play a prank on you.

The cold air hit your face.

Your eyes were adjusting to the dark better now: you could see the sea of stars littered across the night sky, and the silhouettes of the trees.

As you rounded the next corner, you squinted your eyes: there was someone standing there.

It was like they were waiting.

You wanted to advoid them, so you turned around and started to head back the way you came.

As you turned up the corner, you felt a hand on your shoulder.
