GAEUL'S POV

I looked at my apartment’s balcony and saw yijung peering over me. I smiled and drove…drove to my #1 suspect

I arrived in less than 20 minutes and I exhaled deeply as I saw the mansion with bodyguards surrounding the house

I was about to enter but one bodyguard got in my way

“Name?” the intimidating guard asked

“Gaeul…Chu Gaeul,”

He said my name into his earpiece and after a minute of silence, he let me enter

I looked unfit in this environment, as I was wearing jeans and a plain white shirt with heels

I felt like a lost girl roaming around the garden

As I opened the door to the mansion I was greeted by butlers and maids, all guiding me upstairs. When they opened the door, I was awe-struck that an office can be so big and  it was fully furnished with designer items.

“Hello Gaeul,” a man’s voice greeted as the chair soon spun towards me, allowing me to see the old man’s face

“Hello Mr. Cha,”

“And may I ask why you are here? Eunchae didn’t cause problems, did she?”

I chuckled sarcastically

“So why are you here?”

“Why don’t you see happy to see your daughter’s friend?”

“Because you were my enemy’s daughter,”

“Well I’m surprised you let me continue to be your daughter’s friend,"

"well they are dead so i guess it doesn't really matter," he said as he smirked

He was trying to prick me...he's trying to make me affected...he is hiding something

"Maybe they're dead because you murdered them," i said as i remained calm

As i expected he didn't show any reaction 

"and where'd you get that idea?" he asked as he huffed 

i kept queit 

"don't accuse me if you don't have any evidence,"

i was starting to lose my patience 

"your parents were useless human beings and i'm quite surprised they left the inheritance to me...i mean i expected them to leave it to their only daughter but i guess not," he said as he chuckled in disbelief

"you are the one that took it,"

"gaeul, you give me too much credit, i mean i'm not that smart...or am i?"

my fists were clenched 

he just continued to talk trash about my parents 

i couldn't hold it any longer 

i grabbed a stack of my papers out of bag and threw it in his face 

"i suggest you shut that face of yours mr. cha. YOu shouldn't be so cocky because soon  your sorry will be in jail...along with your wife and that ty daughter of yours,"

"now don't act up ," he said as he smirked 

i scoffed 

"You really rubbed off your own daughter, i mean she even killed her soon-to-be husband, So Yijung. I guess she has that same greed as you. But overall that daughter of yours is a that uses her looks to get guys...you never know, your daughter might be a e," i said and i knew then i ruffled his feathers because i stood up and slammed his hands on the table 

"don't you dare talk about my daughter with that dirty mouth of yours,"

"the one with the dirty mouth is your daughter...i mean we don't know whose she's been getting at," i continued 

he walked up to me and slapped me hard 

though it hurt like hell, i pretended it didn't even affect me at all

i just turned and glared at him 

"FIne, i killed your parents," he finally confessed 

"Satisfied? Maybe this will make you even happier, your parents didn't throw you away nor did they get rid of you but i made sure they went through the most horrific and tragic death...i made them suffer...greatly," he said 

this time i could not hold back my tears

i tried so hard but i could not, my feelings overpowered my anger

my tears dropped heavily 

i just smiled as he continued "i made them die...slowly and painfully..."

i glared at him and payed back the slap but even harder 

"and I will make you go through pain...you will not be able to handle, not only you but your family...i will make them suffer 1000x the pain you gave me," i threatened 

"i may be a orphan that got everything taken away from me but i am more than capable of hurting you," i said 

i smirked and walked out not satisfied

i was filled with more emotion, filled with more anger

i walked and sat down on a park's bench and looked at a young child playing with their parents 

"Mommy! Daddy! Look!" the young child called 

"that is very good sweetie," the mom commented as she smiled proudly

"Wow my son is so artistic and intelligent," the kid's father complimented 

then it soon started to rain 

i saw the family run away, covering their heads with their hands to protect themselves 

i just sat there as my tears and the rain combined as one 

i couldn't hold my emotions anymore and i wailed 

"UMMA! APPA!" i sobbed 

"WAE?! (why?) WAE?! WAE?!" i continued to ask as i wailed 

"AAAAAHHHH!" 

YIJUNG'S POV

i suddenly started to feel invulnerable and weak as my heart started to clench

i ran to the balcony and saw that it was pouring "Gaeul..." i whispered 

i quickly ran to the door and was able to enter the elevator

though i wasn't sure where i was headed towards, i jst ran and soon found myself staring at gaeul crying 

"Gaeul..."

"AHH!!" she yelled as she held her heart while sobbing 

i wasn't even sure of the situation but i touched my face and realized that i also shed tears 

"your hearts are connected as one," siyoon said as he glowed next to me 

he smiled 

"why was i able to leave? did gaeul allow it?" i questioned 

"No, gaeul was invulnerable, her heart was distracted and was weak which made the force field weaken and then completely disappear,"

"why? why is this happening to her?"

"it was fate...it was her destiny to meet you and for her to find out the truth..." and he disappeared 

and the only image i saw was of gaeul sitting alone in the rain as she was getting drenched as she cried out for her parents 

"Yijung...So Yijung," she called and i quickly ran by her side 

her head laid on my shoulder as she clinged on my arms 

"Yijung...So Yijung...why? why did you do it? why did you fall for her? why? why did you choose me out of all the girls that could help you, why me? why?" she continued to ask as she weeped

i held her hands as we cried together

i then released her hands and grabbed her for a hug, as she continued to cryi n my arms

"Why...why...w...." and then i  felt her weight collapse on me

"gaeul? gaeul..." i called out and i carried her bridal style

"Why...why did you love her? Cha eun chae..she is my enemy..why....i have to take revenge...she is my enemy...i'm sorry," she muttered and knocked out 

i looked at the fragile gaeul

"what exactly did eunchae do to you?" i whispered 

i quickly grabbed a taxi and got in the back seat with her 

i thanked the taxi driver and paid him and carried gaeul upstairs 

i quickly tried to dry her, before she got sick and after i got situated 

i laid her more comfortably on her bed and put the covers over her

"Gaeul...i don't know who to choose...you or eunchae...what should i do?" i asked as i touched her hair
