Sehun POV

I watched as they dragged Minhee up to the pole, trying her hands behind her back and threw all sorts of flammable things below her. I wanted to move to her. To get her out of there and to embrace her. But I couldn't. My feet felt like lead, I couldn't move that at all. No matter how much I wanted to move, no matter how much I yelled at myself to move... I couldn't. It was like someone glued my feet permanently to the ground. Tears streamed down my face and I saw them light up a torch. My heart began to race. I needed to do something! But I cant, I couldn't find the courage to do it

"Sehun!" a hand was placed on my shoulder. I jumped at the sudden touch. I looked back, tears filled my eyes and my chest was clenching

"Appa~" I was surprised that he was here. He only looked forward at Minhee with furrowed eyebrows. His grip on my shoulder tightened

"Go get her" he said, his low voice echoing in my ear. It came in one ear and out the other. I didn't even process what he was saying

"Sehun listen to me right now! You don't want to lose her right?" Appa tried to knock some sense into me but still, I heard nothing from him

"RIGHT?! Minhee! You don't want to lose Minhee right?!" as soon as I heard Minhee's name, all my senses came back.

"Minhee..." I muttered her name.

"Right! Minhee! She needs you now! Go and save her before its too late!" Minhee... before its too late... Magically, I could feel my legs finally moving. I took one shaky step after another and found myself walking towards her. 

I froze in my spot. My whole world went in slow motion right before my eyes. Before I could emerge from the circle, they had already thrown the torch in the pile of hay and wood. A huge fire was born and it was spreading rapidly. My eyes widened and tears filled my vision. Appa and the others were yelling at me to do something and the crowd of people were roaring in cheers. I blocked all sound and could only watch Minhee. She was screaming in agony and only her screams could be heard by me.

Sehun, what is wrong with you?! Why aren't you doing anything?! Why the hell aren't you helping her?! Get a hold of yourself! Help Minhee! The love of your life! The one you'll spend the rest of your life with!  You'll be happy and have tons of kids! None of this will happen if you let her burn! Risking it all, I let my eyes turn a dangerous red, I let my fangs be exposed, I let my powers show. Fast as a lightning bolt, I grabbed Minhee, untied her and carried her away to safety... or so i thought. In midair, I was caught off guard and landed ontop of a roof, Minhee safely in my arms. She was on top of me as I landed on my back.

"Minhee! Are you ok?" I grunted, trying to get a good look at her face. She looked up with watery eyes and looked shocked to see me. Her shocked expression turned into happiness and she hugged my neck tightly, not letting go any time soon

"You came back..." she whimpered. I sighed and embraced her, carressing her hair, letting her know that everything is going to be ok.

"Of course I came back, pabo... I'll always come back for you" I told her, meaning every word that came out of my mouth. As we were hugging each other tightly, there happened to be a figure that also landed on the rooftop with us. I looked at the odd figure who was walking towards us. I squinted my eyes but couldnt see who it clearly was, only his silhouette showed.

"Who-Who are you?" I asked, putting a protective arm around Minhee since this could be someone dangerous

"Why don't you ask Minhee..."

Minhee POV

I felt safe in Sehun's arms. Snuggling up to his chest, I sniffed in his scent. It was sweet with a hint of Luhan. My eyes shot open when I heard that familiar voice... that despicable voice I hate so much. Sehun looked down at me with questioning eyes

"Minhee?" 

"Oppa..." I grabbed a handful of shirt and clutched it "We need to get out of here" I told him as quietly as possible

"I don't think you are getting out of here. You are going to stay here along with your little vampire friends and burn to hell!" he exclaimed. Sehun frowned and got up, me still in his arms. Sehun was glaring at the man who was now circling us, slowly and dangerously

"Who are you?" Sehun challenged, ready for a fight. The man chuckled and only shook his head

"I go by many names... names that you dont need to know. But its better this way... since you'll be dead anyway. Why know the name of the person who killed you, mhmm? It's pointless isn't it?" that mysterious man made a point

"What are you-" and before Sehun could even finish his sentence, he was attacked on the arm, blood running down his arm

".." I heard Sehun curse under his breath and kneeled down on one knee, holding onto his wounded arm

"Oppa! Omo, ottokhae?" I also bent down and examined his arm. It was bleeding badly. I bit my lip and tried to stop the bleeding by pressing on it, making Sehun scream in pain

"Mianhae oppa, its to stop the bleeding!" I explained. Before I knew it, Sehun arched his back, and screamed again. I looked up and saw the mysterious man smirk. All he did was smirk, smirk, smirk!! I was sick and tired of looking at his disgusting face. Paying my attention back to Sehun, I leaned Sehun forward so that he was leaning his body on me while I checked his wound on the back. This was obviously done by a knife or blade. Thank god the cuts werent that deep

"Minhee!" Sehun suddenly screamed and I was now on the ground, Sehun ontop of me, bodies pressed together. Everything was happening so fast, I couldn't process what was happening. All I could see was Sehun's face.. it was scrunched up in so much pain, it was hard see him like that. He bit his lower lip to keep from screaming out and my heart clenched. 

"Sehun!" Sehun collapsed under me and I lifted him up, my hands resting on his back. There was something hot and sticky... a liquid on his back. I lifted my hand and blood ran down my fingers. I gasped and cupped Sehun's face with my free hand.

"Sehun!" I screamed his name, but his eyes were closed and  his breath was getting slower and was beginning to get unsteady. I glared at that man. I wanted to tear him apart, i wanted him to suffer for what he has done!

"You-" i couldnt even finish what i wante to say as i saw him lunging foward, ready to attack again. I tightly closed my eyes shut, now I'm the one protecting the one I love. I waited for some impact to hit me, pain that was supposed to surge through my body, but it never came. I opened my eyes slowly and saw, to my relief, Kris holding back that man and everyone coming onto the rooftop to help. Kai came running to me and Sehun's side, along with Suho and his brothers. They took an unconsious Sehun out of my hands, who had cuts all over his body, and went back to the castle to treat him right away. Suho stayed by my side to see if I was also hurt. I told him that I was fine and looked over to where Infinite and Exom had surrounded the guy

I almost jumped in the air when I saw the mysterious man fly into the air, escaping his imprisonment. I saw that some of them were going to ran after him but Kris stopped them, telling them to let it go... for now. IF he came back, then they would definitely chase him down. Feeling tired and exhausted, Suho carried me back to the castle, where I could rest, and Sehun was safe, along with the rest of the vampire clan.
