The Kim have three members in the family and lives situated along with the middle- low class in society that their mother had a rented small eatery house in a busy town of Busan to earn money. Living with his relatives at their grandparents' house results of tumult and rivalry within. Their mother decided not to be close and be civilized interacting to them along with her children.

Hyun Joong, the eldest brother,

sometimes helps his mother serving at the shop while studying in the age of eleven. Despite his mother insisting of not to be close with their cousins, he remain neutral and just for treating both his family and relatives.  He starts writing and composes some lyrics by his own whenever he has free time now he is thirteen. After completing the song, he sometimes sings it to his brother as a lullaby when their mother did not come home with them.

Minki or Ren , as the dongsaeng of the family,

is always with his mother as no one left to look after him in their relative's house and went home with his brother whenever their mom works late. He listens to the radio to entertain his young mind of music whenever his brother and his mom busy serving their clients. But the nine year old Minki will experience inevitable happenings that change his behaviour. He was jolly and can easily befriend with but the sudden change made him quiet and reserved.
