The Seventh Key

8 Keys

The seventh key is hidden where we first met

Jieun ran her hand over the rough bark of the oak tree before turning away. Only two more keys and I will hopefully understand why Kris broke up with me...

------

Jieun was walking through the mall with her friends, Sohee and HanEul. Holding bags and bags of new clothes and accessories, the girls gossiped and giggled their way to the food court.

"Hey Sohee, let's get pizza today! I haven't had any for a long time." HanEul smiled and her eyes gleamed happily.

"I'm not really in the mood for pizza today." Sohee gave her friend an apologetic smile.

"What do you guys think about ramen?" Jieun suggested, and both girls agreed eagerly.

Jieun wasn't paying attention where she was going and ran right into someone's chest.

Cheeks flushed, head bowed, Jieun stuttered an apology, "I didn't mean to run into you, I am so sorry!"

The boy chuckled and placed a single finger under her chin, lifting her head so that he could see her eyes, "It's okay, I don't mind."

Who is this guy? Jieun stared at him, eyes unblinking, he is really good looking!

"My name is Kris, Kris Wu." Pearly white teeth flashed in her direction and Jieun could feel her legs grow weak.

"I-I'm Jieun."

"It's nice to meet you, Jieun." He winked, "Maybe I'll see you again soon?"

Jieun could only blush furiously and nod.
------

It was very difficult for Jieun to find the key that Kris hid in the mall. She searched high and low, from one end of the mall to the other, and she still was unable to find it.

After a good hour and a half, she noticed something small and brown reflecting light from the fountain situated in the middle of the mall.

Oh god, did he really put it up there?

There were many kids playing in the shallow water, so it wouldn't be too weird for her to wade to the middle of the fountain and grab the box.

Her jeans soaked knee high, Jieun waded out of the pool of water with the box in her hand. She was dripping water all over the mall floor but she really didn't care.

The last key is hidden with the last gift I gave you.

Okay guys please don't kill me. I know this chapter was not the best but I am going to finish the story tonight. Only one more chapter left~

God, that was amazing.
I've been meaning to read it for a while and I really am glad I got around to it. Thank you so much for an amazing story. It's so well edited and the plot flowed at a good speed and very nicely for a short story like this. I really am happy I got to read this piece of work. I'm glad I experienced feels from it. And I certainly am appreciative of the tears I let fall at the very last chapter. Thank you. And I look forward to reading more of your precious work. <3
