This chapter is inspired by Episode 277

~~~Nobody's pov~~

"In recent news, the zombie rumor is spreading quickly on social media. Apparently, zombies appeared in a research laboratory in Seoul. The government believes it will destabilize the Nation and requested an investigation by the country's experts in cybercrime.”  “The Running Man members will find a cure to the Zombie Virus” They step out of the tank one by one. They each walk into the headquarter “Semper Fi!” Kwangsoo cried “Commander!” Jaesuk saluted him “Thank you all for coming here. Take your seats.” The leader ordered “Yes, sir.” “I saw him in a drama…” Haha said “Don’t talk about dramas, he our Commander.” Jaesuk snapped “I’m the director of the security program, Commander Yeom Dong Heon.” The leader introduced himself “What the problem?” Jihyo ask “As you all know the Zombie Virus spread from this secret research laboratory.” He explains “Zombie Virus!” The members exclaim in shock “We have figured out that there were approximately 150 employees in the lab. However, we don’t know how many survived and how many been infected.” The leader explain “We’re in serious trouble.” The members said to one another “Our goal is to find all survivors as well as finding Doctor Yeom the head of the lab to find a solution.” “Doctor Yeom?” The members ask “Is he related to you?” Sukjin ask the leader “Are you going to come back with a mole?” Jaesuk question him “We’ll be disappointed if you wear a wig.” Haha said “I’m going to take off my wig!” The leader said causing the members to laugh “Are you ready?” he ask them “Yeah!” They all answers “Once you’ve been bitten, you need to take a cure within 30 minutes. Or else, you’ll turn into a zombie.” He explains and continues “Unfortunately, the only cure given to you is this one.” He lifted a small blue bottle “I need it.” Jinah declared “You will discuss who will keep this among you.” The leader said the members look at each other and Sukjin said “The oldest one should take it. So, me.” “No, I’m in the middle.” Gary said “I’m the youngest!” Jinah said and the members were arguing about who should have it “I can’t protect myself!” Sukjin said while grabbing the bottle to which Haha yell “You’ve lived long enough!” “Take your dirty hands off of that!” Kwangsoo yell “You guys are strong! I’m weak!” Sukjin shout “Be quiet!” Haha order the eldest. Jaesuk grabs the bottle and ask “Can I just take it now?” “Is this for motion sickness?” Gary asks Jaesuk. The leader quiet down the yelling members and says “We will give a badge to whoever rescues the most survivors.” “How much does it cost?” Haha ask standing up from his seat “It’s a badge, you fool!” The leader’s comment causes everyone to laugh. “Anyway, the person who receives the badge will be greatly honored! I believe in you, soldiers. I hope you make it back without being infected.” He said “Don’t worry!” The members said “Dismissed!” he leaves and Jaesuk caught the oldest “Sukjin! Why are you taking that?” “I’ll just take it. You guys are strong.” Sukjin tried to convince s “Someone must be sacrificed here.” Jaesuk says “In a horror movie, you’d be sacrificed first.” Jihyo said and Jinah backs her sister up “In a horror movie Sukjin oppa would die first.” Haha continues the comment and says “Jongkook would be too confident and die and they would die while in love. So let’s decide between the four of us.” He refers to himself, Kwangsoo, Jinah and Jaesuk “Can’t I just have it?” Sukjin whine and Jaesuk ask “What’s the point of having two lives?” “Let Jongkook have it then!” Gary said “He would be the scariest if he turned into a zombie. He would be on the zombies’ side.” Jaesuk points at Kwangsoo “You usually save women and the young ones first.” Kwangsoo said “I’m young and a woman.” Jinah said “He might be clumsy and spill it or something.” Jaesuk says

[AFTER MORE ARGUING]

The members decide for Haha to have the cure. “We can steal from each other right?” Kwangsoo ask “He already focus on thievery. He asking if you can steal it.” Jongkook pointed out the members send Kwangsoo, Jinah and Jongkook first “We’ll let you know if anything happens.” Kwangsoo says “Don’t betray.” The members reminded Kwangsoo the three walk towards the building “Let’s do our best until the end.” Kwangsoo tells the members that are going in with him “Oppas, if you guys rescue them. I’ll bring them over.” Jinah said causing Jongkook and Kwangsoo to look at the short girl “What?” Jongkook ask “Let’s not do that.”

~~~Jinah’s pov~~~

We walk down the foggy hallway. We reached the end of the hallway and walk inside the open room. “I swear I heard something.” Kwangsoo oppa said and he grabbed a shovel. We look around the room and there was nobody. We walk downstairs to the basement. It was quiet until we heard the door slam shut turns out it was Kwangsoo oppa. We walk to another room and saw zombies “Can we outrun them? Jongkook oppa ask “Molla.” I answer I closed the door to the zombie filled room

 Jongkook oppa opened a door and we saw an arm I scream and Kwangsoo oppa threaten the zombie with his shovel “I’m seriously going to hit you!” Jongkook oppa closed the door and we ran to the staircase.

~~~Jaesuk’s pov~~~

Sukjin hyung, Jihyo and I enter the building. “It’s so quiet.” Jihyo pointed out the dead silent “That just makes me more nervous.” Sukjin hyung confess we walked and I saw zombies roaming around the room. It was still quiet until we heard a noise. We ran and turned out it was VJ Kwon-ryul. I took five steps to the room and did a head count before backing out. We left the room and met up with Gary and Haha at the entrance we started asking questions “What do the zombies look like?” ““Are they wearing nametags?” We split up and I was waking upstairs with Jihyo. We found a secret room. We also found Professor Yeom. He has been bitten. He hands us a notebook and his 30 minutes are up.

~~~Jongkook’s pov~~~

I was walking with Kwangsoo. Jinah left with Jihyo. The zombies’ attentions are towards us when we talk so we had to be quiet. I saw a laptop I went to see what was on it when I heard Kwangsoo scream he ran out and tried to lock me inside.

Luckily I slip out in time and decided to have Kwangsoo a taste of his own medicine. I opened the closet door and he ran. We went back to the laptop. He was in front of me I scream and ran out locking Kwangsoo inside. My scream attracted the zombies to the door of the room Kwangsoo was in. I ran out by myself wondering if Kwangsoo a zombie or not.

[MEANWHILE]

~~~Sukjin’s pov~~~

Jaesuk, Jihyo, Jinah and I were walking I found a person but they are passed out by the doorway. "I'm leaving." Jinah announced and left the group. It was only Jaesuk, Jihyo and I now. "Why is this person passed out?" Jaesuk ask "Molla." Jihyo answer we gently kicked the person but the person didn't resond to our kicks at all. We walk to another room and we discover neck warmers.

Which we realize can be placed on the zombies to neutralize them, just like the unconscious person at the doorway. I split up from the group to go and try to find any human survivors. I saw Haha and we both saw a human survivor. “There a woman downstairs.” He informs us we lead the man to the medical tent. The two of us fight to take credit for finding the man “I found him.” We both said “I found him first.” He argues with me in the end they gave me the point since I enter the medical tent first. One point for me! We went back inside trying to find more surviors.

~~~Kwangsoo’s pov~~~

Jongkook hyung and I found a woman in the basement level. “I’m hungry.” She cries I went through my pockets and handed her the emergency food which was chocolate. We lead her to the exit and she whisper to us “I have a friend who hiding on the same floor.” I tried to find her friend before returning back to her “Why do these people have so many friends?” I ask I took the woman to the tent and said “I will try to find your friend.” Once I enter the building everyone was together. We had a quick discussion “There HAS to be a twist. This is too easy. The zombies are not a threat to us at all.” Jaesuk hyung pointed out and Sukjin hyung adds “We got to do something before the zombies is given an advantage or becomes stronger.” “One log said that the zombies will become more intelligent as time passes. They can’t speak now but that could change as time pass.” Jongkook hyung informs us "We have to work faster then." Jinah said 

 ~~~Gary’s pov~~~

We split up again and I was with Jongkook hyung, Haha and Kwangsoo. We enter Professor Yeom’s office. He was silent until he starts squirming in pain we realize he have been bitten by a zombie. “Hand him your antidote.” Jongkook hyung order Haha. He listens and takes out the bottle but Professor Yeom said “It’s too late.” We’re hoping he doesn’t bite us now. “Would you like us to kill you before you turn?” Jongkook hyung ask the Professor he responds “I want to live!” We turn to leave the professor’s office. I took two steps out the door and saw a zombie running towards the door I quickly ran back in and shut the door “What’s wrong?” Haha ask “The zombies…they can run now.” I answer breathless suporting myself against the door. It happen so fast it took me by surprise. “They’re evolving.” Jongkook hyung said
