A New Start: 4
The EndSunggyu paces outside the Korean traditional looking building and sighs as he glances at his phone for the millionth time. The lights from the quiet street flicker on since it just got dark.
Sunggyu then steps aside as some women enter the restaurant while mumbling something about how the chef is super handsome and the food has been featured on Korean Foodie’s #1 list. Sunggyu thins his lips and deadpans quietly,
“No surprise why you ladies are here, he’s not that great to be honest…” Just as he said that, the door opens from behind him and he hears a soft voice,
“Hyung, is he not here yet?”
Sunggyu turns around to face Sungjong and shakes his head.
“I think he’s still jet-lagged.”
“No surprise. You’d think that he’d take life more seriously after traveling and living away for so long,” Sungjong steps out to stand next to Sunggyu. Sunggyu smiles and replies,
“I know right.”
“Lets just wait inside. He’s a grown man and can find his own way to the restaurant!” Sungjong states as he puts his hands on his hips. Sunggyu laughs and nods his head.
“You’re right. I don’t know why I’m out here in the cold. Lets go inside before I catch a cold and my voice goes to the gutter.”
Inside the restaurant, an open kitchen is on display on the far end of the restaurant floor. The restaurant is small and only a few tables are placed carefully in the space.
As Sunggyu and Sungjong enter, one of the five chefs looks up from his pan and waves excitedly to them. Sunggyu ignores the fella and Sungjong nods in the chef’s direction with a teasing smile.
“You’re so mean to Woohyun hyung,” Sungjong notes teasingly as they enter the private room.
