"Why?"Jonghyun asked, his soft, almost broken voice breaking the silence that had enveloped them for minutes now. Kibum could only bite into his lower lip weakly, never looking into the elder's eyes. "Why the would you lie to me?"

"I..."The blonde whispered, his voice shaking as he tried to explain. The problem was that even he wasn't sure. He was scared, maybe. He wanted to live happily... Sure. But... now as he thought about it... why did he lie so much? Why did he hide everything? A part of himself was screaming at him that he just wanted Jonghyun to be happy...

Kibum was scared. Scared of death, of never waking up. Sometimes, when going home from treatments, he had felt that they were just ordinary check-ups. Like everything was alright because he had said so to Jonghyun.

The boy didn't only tell his lies... He lived them as well. He liked to think that everything was alright, that he had a long life ahead of him, that he would never suffer anymore. Not even the pain would be able to shake him back to reality at times. The false picture he had painted with sweet fake words seemed so real, even to him that it seemed like it would be never erased. Like happily ever after existed for him.

But now... now that his lie had been revealed, that Jonghyun knew everything.. the picture had been torn into tiny pieces, its colors turning black as the small shreds would finally land on the ground.
