Jonghyun's POV

If you haven't noticed, I have huge bags and dark circles under my eyes constantly because I rarely get enough sleep. It doesn't help that my skin is quite pale and that makes my problem more prominent. Well, today is one of those nights when I cannot fall asleep and the situation worsens with the fact that I'm not at home. In reality, I'm staying over at Fany noona's house because Minho was too drunk to drive home and noona was kind enough to offer us a room. As a good friend, I, of course, decided to stay behind and keep him company.

It is no big mystery why my best friend was drunk. He had been contemplating all night as to whether he should confess to Hyunnie, his secret crush since childhood (at least it's a secret to Hyunnie but I'm sure everyone else knows). He has never been so serious before as he is now and to see his fevour and willingness to showcase his love for our dear chingu, makes my heart drop and contract slightly.

I don't know why I should feel this way, maybe I just don't want to see him get hurt, that's all. To be honest though, Hyunnie have turned out to be quite the pretty lady and I was quite surprised when I first saw her after 9 whole years. Her face is as fair as ever, cheeks still chubby, her aegyo fat under those sparkling eyes makes them pop. Everything about her is perfect. If I weren't best buddies with her, or had Minho not loved her as he did now, I might... just might... court her. But what kind of crazy ideas am I thinking? Amnesia has really taken a toll on me...

I wander around the house and find a small terrace on the first floor that overlooks the swimming pool. I was enjoying the beautiful bright moon and the cool summer breeze when I hear voices downstairs. I squint my eyes and scan across the poolside and located Hyunnie. Her face shone under the moonlight, bringing out the soft features of her face. I turn my attention to the speaker and realize it is Changmin hyung chatting with her. At first they seem ill at ease. Yet, when Hyunnie disappears for a few minutes and returns with a bottle of wine, the two become more talkative as they gulp down glasses and glasses of the red liquid. Before I know it, I am eavesdropping and spying on their conversations. 

I am quite surprised when hyung confessed to having girl problems and I can't help but wonder who that mystery girl could be and if I know her personally. I am more shocked when Hyunnie drank a whole glass of wine, one after another. She does not seem the kind of girl to drain her displeasures with alcohol... unless, there's really something seriously troubling going on. Well, I was about to leave, since my consciousness reprimanded me for being a peeping Tom and I was feeling tired, when I hear Hyunnie's voice raise, as if in a temper or anger. I turn around to take a look and the next thing I know, she and hyung are kissing. There is a sudden pang in my heart as I see the scene unravel before me. I rub my eyes to make sure I have been seeing clearly and find them kissing again, this time with more urgency and ferociousness. I feel my fist clench and wonder what has gotten into me... Am I angry because I'm sorry for Minho? Or is it because of jealousy? 

I leave without observing them further and return to my shared room with my best chingu. A minute later, I hear Fany noona's door creak shut. Hyunnie has gone back to bed. For a second, I feel my heavy heart lighten a slight bit. Nothing more has gone down between them. But why should I care? I am no busy body to poke into other's business and as a good chingu, I should feel happy that Hyunnie has found someone she likes... Have I fallen for her as well?... I think I have...

Anyways, I'll see if I'll update another chapter soon but there's a slim chance I will until the weekend...

Hope you enjoyed this short confession of Jonghyun!! To be honest, I love the Jongseo couple as well... I feel guilty not adding Kyuhyun into the story but there are way too much Seokyu fanfics out there that I want to focus on the underrated Seohyun pairings first :P So, sorry, our beloved Kyuline leader, it's your dongsaengs' time to shine :D
