Nakeia and JaeKyung Part 2
❤XOXO-YG's New Girl Group {Closed}~Nakeia~
"LuHan, stop it!" Nakeia pouted as LuHan continued teasing her for watching kid shows. The two had gone to the roof of the building to talk.
"Awh, JinAe...You know I loovveee you~" He chuckled as he nudged her stomach. Her heart started beating faster, but she calmed herself down as much as possible. He only meant it in a friendly manner...right? Her phone started ringing, snapping out of her daze. She picked it up immediately, ignoring LuHan who came closer to put his ear on the other side of the phone.
"Omo, Hoya oppa? You just got out of practice? Wah! You work so hard! Mm...Yeah, I guess Infinite can come watch us practice tomorrow. See you~ Bye oppa!" Nakeia turned off her phone and turned to see LuHan staring at her intently. The distance between their faces were molecular, and Nakeia found herself holding her breath.
"Oppa?" LuHan's large eyes turned into slits and examined her closely. She nodded and looked anywhere but his face. "You don't call me oppa..." He continued. Nakeia still didn't say a word and pretended to be distracted by her fingers. "Yoo JinAe." He said her full name, sending butterflies in her stomach. "From now on, you must call me oppa!" His serious face turned into a happy one.
Nakeia let out the breath that she was holding in when he stared at her. She rolled her eyes and stood up "Like I'm really going to call you that."
"You have to~" LuHan grabbed your hand with both his hands like a kid and began shaking it. "How come Hoya gets to be called oppa, but I don't! Waeyo!"
"Stop it Luhan, you're 23. I should be calling you haraboji."
"JinAe~ Why won't you call me oppa, but you'll call Hoya it."
'It's because you're you...' She thought in her mind. "Let's go back...it's cold."
"Nooo, I want to stay out here." LuHan pulled off his jacket and draped it over Nakeia's shoulders. "Stay with me." He tightened his grip on her hand, making her realize that he was still holding it.
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine." She pulled her hand out of his and pulled off his jacket to give it to him. Before he could say anything, she walked over to the railing and stared at the sky. She heard giggles and looked at Lay and JaeKyung. 'They're so cute....When am I going to have a romance like that. My crush is oblivious to my feelings...'
She felt the jacket being draped over her body again and sighed. "What are you thinking about?"
"My debut...It's coming so soon. Too soon...I don't think I'm ready." She lied. Nakeia had confidence and knew she was ready, but inside...the only thing she was afraid of was not being able to prove herself worthy to the one boy she fell the second she laid her eyes on him.
"Don't worry. 4 years of training will definitely not go to waste. Besides, I'll be your number one ginger tea even if you screw up." He chuckled.
"Gee, I feel so special..." She laughed, pulling his jacket so it was wrapping around her entire body. 'That's all I need.' She smiled and stared at the sky.
"Ooh! Look. It's a shooting star. Make a wish." LuHan pointed up.
Nakeia closed her eyes and smiled, linking her fingers together. 'I wish...XOXO's debut will go well and LuHan will look at me as a woman. Not just a friend or a hoobae.'
LuHan smiled and closed his eyes too. 'I wish to give Nakeia confidence so she can succeed in her dream of becoming an idol. And for a successful debut.'
The two opened their eyes simultaneously and looked toward each other. "What did you wish for?" LuHan asked.
"It's a secret. If I tell you, it won't come true." She smiled. "What about you?"
"It's a secret. If I tell you it won't come true." LuHan mocked her words. "And...I really want this to come true..." He smiled, causing her to raise her eyebrow in curiosity. 'What did he wish for?'
~JaeKyung~
Lay carried JaeKyung all the way down to the front of the building. "I don't think she was chasing us..." JaeKyung laughed.
"You tell me that...once I get to the bottom?" Lay panted, tired from running.
"Aigoo~ Is my unicorn mad?" JaeKyung chuckled and pinched Lay's cheek.
"Who said I was your unicorn?" Lay scoffed.
'Can't you be mine?' JaeKyung thought. She brushed the thought out of her mind and shrugged. "You're my unicorn until you find someone better. It's not happening anytime soon~" She let go of his neck and rested her hands on his shoulder.
Lay laughed and spun her around, making her grabbed onto him out of instinct and bury her face into the crook of his neck. He tensed up, but then relaxed after a few second. 'I don't think I'll ever find anyone better than you...' He thought in his head.
"Yah...You almost dropped me." JaeKyung spoke softly, face still buried into his neck.
"Are you okay? Did I scare you? I'm sorry..." He began to panic when he hear her sniffle. "JaeKyung-ahh, please don't cry."
"Can you buy me ice cream?"
"Wow, really? You only wanted ice cream?" Lay put JaeKyung down and turned around to see her smiling and nodding.
"Pleeaaseee~" JaeKyung grabbed onto his arm.
"Where are we going to get ice cream this late?"
"I know a place." She replied, with hope in her eyes.
"Fine. Let's go." Lay smiled at JaeKyung's reaction. She grabbed his hand and pulled him to follow. He chuckled and stared at their intertwined hands. 'Even if it's just tonight...I'm happy.'
The two ran into the shop to be greeted by an elder man. "Oh, I was wondering when you were going to come, JaeKyung. Omo, is this your boyfriend?" The man said.
"Anniyo~ He's my best friend." She said proudly.
"Annyeonghaseyo." Lay bowed at the elder.
"Ah, such a fine young man. Don't let this one slip, JaeKyung." The elder man chuckled.
"Haraboji!" JaeKyung blushed along with Lay. The man barked in laughter and nodded.
"Araso, ice cream again?"
"Ne~" JaeKyung ran and grabbed her favorite pint of green tea ice cream. "Yixing~ What do you want?"
"I'm fine." He smiled and watched her.
"This is why you're so scrawny." JaeKyung poked him and ran to the front.
Lay paid for the ice cream and the two of you left after helping the elder clean up and close the shop.
"Haraboji really shouldn't stay up that late, but he always does...ever since I was a baby. He would stay up with me for every little thing." JaeKyung suddenly spoke as she ate her ice cream. Lay looked at her and grabbed her hand. She let his warmth take over her cold small hand.
"He's an amazing man...he was the one that raised you and JaeJoong sunbae, right?" JaeKyung nodded, and smiled.
"I owe my life to him." The two stopped at the front of the building. "I'm going to go back now...it's already 4 AM..." She was about to pull her hand away, but he tightened his grip.
"I'll visit you tomorrow..." Lay sighed, and pulled out his phone to call a cab. JaeKyung called Nakeia to come down. After a few minutes, Nakeia and LuHan came out right when the cab came.
"Bye~" The girls waved before heading back home.
"So...how did LuHan react to the kid shows thing?" JaeKyung broke the silence.
"Thanks...I realized something tonight." Nakeia said, with a bitter smile.
"Huh?"
"I may not be the girl in his mind..." Nakeia leaned her head onto JaeKyung's shoulder. JaeKyung her hair and sighed.
"Same goes for Lay..."
I know...it seems so sad, but things will get better! ^__^
