Everything started when our thread of life began reducing, approaching its end.
CHANYEOL's perspective
“Since this morning, everything got weird. That store, that sign, that rain, that board, and even Tao. I can’t mend the pieces but I something bad will happen.” I shared my ideas to Kai who was listening intently.
“Yeah.” He agreed. “And this will get even worse.”
“I just can’t make it but that game’s presence is bothering me.” I eyed him cautiously.
“It’s not advised to play that game.” He answered.
You seemed to know everything Kai. I sipped my coffee and looked at what’s happening in the living room.
They seemed to be opening something. When I make it out, my eyes widened then gripped Kai’s arm. Everybody was there now, except us. Kai looked at their direction and almost choked.
“Whatever happens, we have to stop them from playing that game, man.” He stood up and dragged me to run.

“Hey! There’s one stone vacant.” Tao said while shaking the die. “Why don’t you two join us?”
“Where did you get this board?” Kai said in bewilderment.
“In my room!” Tao answered. “I think you are the one who put this inside my room, aren’t you?”
“But I just…” Kai was confused. He looked intently at Tao then said something in a voice that is almost impossible to be heard.
But somehow I comprehend it. He said, I throw it beside the store.
“What?” Sehun emphasized.
“I think it’s a bad idea to start the game.” I sweated. “Maybe we should play something else.”
“Why is it so?” Xiumin asked. “It is not like it was a game of life and death.”
“But isn’t it quite disrespectful if we play that.” Kai defended. “It is not ours you know.”
“He would never know by the way.” Baekhyun pointed out.
“Yeah… he’s right.” Kris dragged me to sit. “He would never know, except somebody will tell the owner.” He eyed at Kai.
I gulped and sat down. I faked a smile and looked at Kai. He shook his head slightly. After that, Sehun made him sit. Kai shot me a dreadful look as if I just died.
The game started. Tao and Chen decided to take the first turn. They dropped the die. Just as the first dice hit the board, lightning flashed and the clock ticked away, abnormally loud. They moved their chip to the fifth block.
Leader and Sehun next dropped the die. Rain started to pour again and strong winds gashed the windows. The result was three. Lay and Luhan took the next turn. Luhan whispered something on the die before rolling tem. I hear the whisper inside my head. The die seemed to follow him, resulting to twelve. Lay cheered and the voice inside my head eased.
