chapter 5 *^o^*
My dad's a kkangpae leader...
the next day was just another normal day. they woke up, go to school, after school, they go to the cafe, after that they go home. when gigi got home it was unexpectedly quiet. gigi went around the house to find jongin but he was nowhere to be found. so she asked jieung(*one of the maids*)
gigi: unnie... where's everyone??
jieung: your dad called them all to take care of something
gigi: oh~ ok...thank you unnie
gigi went to her room and changed her clothes. after changing she went to the living room to watch TV but there was nothing interesting so she went roaming around the big house. when got to the end of the hallway there was only one room left undisturbed by gigi, her older brother's room. she slowly went in his room and remembered the time when he was still there. gigi lied on the bed and closed her eyes. gigi was close with her brother, when she gets punished daehyun would take care of her and make her laugh along with jongin. the 3 of them would usually sneak out of the house to go play, at first they would get punishments for that but after some time they got used to it... gigi opened her eyes and saw the ladder to the rooftop.she saw the unfinished wall painting that daehyun did. a small smile came upon gigi's face.
gigi: waa... its all still here... the cans of paint, the paint brushes....its all where oppa
left them. [looks up] haha! its still there!!
there ws a blob of paint on the roof. gigi's brother built a roof on the roof to prevent the paining from getting wet. gigi stared at the painting then suddenly claped...
gigi: lets finish this bro!!
gigi quickly went down to get a bucket of water, an apron, and a rug then went back to the rooftop. she dusted and opened the cans to see if its still usable, she washed the paint brushes and put the apron on. again gigi stared at the painting...
gigi: something's missing....[snaps her fingers] i know!
gigi wend down to get her speekers. after plugging in her phone she started painting...after an hour, jongin, gigi's dad, and the others arrived. jongin went straight to gigi's room but gigi wasn't there so he walked around the house hoping to see gigi. then jongin heard music coming from daehyun's room so he went in and saw the door to the roof top open. he silently went up the ladder and was gigi dancing and painting at the same time. jongin held his laughter but after a few seconds he couldnt hold it anymore and bursted laughing
gigi: what the?! OPPA!!!!
jongin: nice moves >.<
jongin manages to say in between his laughter, gigi just glared at him. when jongi finally calmed down he sat on the mattress that was in front of the painting. gigi put down the paint brush and sat next to jongin
gigi: oppa, why didn't you finish it??
jongin: i know nothing about painting
gigi: aigoo... you just have to follow the outline
jongin: i don't like painting
gigi stood up
gigi: ya!! stand up!! you know the rules. if your not going to paint, get lost!
jongin: but-
gigi: oppa will haunt you if you don't go
gigi manages to force jongin to get off the roof top and went back to dancing while painting...the next few days was normal as well. go to school, go to the cafe, gigi accidentally does something to make chanhee hate her more; ever seeing her makes him angry. one saturday morning chanhee was jogging around the neighborhood then he sa a familiar person sitting on the bench. he hid behind the tree...
chanhee: gigi?? she leaves near here??
a kid was looking at chanhee and chanee just shooed him away...
kid: what a wierd ajushi...
chanhee: what? you-... ajushi?!....good thing your a kid
chanhee mumbles to himself. gigi was texting then she felt something tugging on her pants, it was a little puppy. gigi picked it u and notices that there was no collar and that it had several bite marks..
gigi: aww...poor little guy...
gigi stood up and started to walk off. chanhee secretly followed gigi for a while
chanhee: *wait why am i following her?!*
and so chanhee went home. gigi went to a pet's care store nearby...
worker: good morning
gigi wasnt looking at the worker, her attention was at the puppy nibbling her finger...
gigi umm... i found him in the park.. he doesn't have a tag and-
gigi looked at the worker.
gigi: BAEKHYUN?!?!
gigi immediately covered after realizing that she said that out loud...
baekhyun: oh... gigi-shi [usual poker face]
gigi: you work here?? *poker face family..hahaha*
baekhyun: well... as you can see...[pointing at he's name tag] yes..
gigi: heheh [gigi laughs awkwardly]
baekhyun: [smiles] follow me..
gigi just stared at baekhyun shocked at the fact that baekhyun smiled after a few seconds gigi snapped out of the trance and followed baekhyun to the back. the room was bright, walls covered in white, big operating-like table in the middle and in the corner was these little cages and some had puppies in them.
baekhyun opened a vacant cage and signals gigi to come closer.
baekhyun: the doctor isn't here so we'll just put him here for a while
gigi puts the puppy in the cage and gives it a pat on the head before closing it. gigi stared at the puppy with a worried look on her face
baekhyun: don't worry, we'll take care of him... you can visit him any time you want... how old
is he anyway??
gigi: i don't know. i only found him in the park. he was chewing on my pants.
baekhyun: he must be hungry..
baekhyun took out 2 bowls. he filled one with water and the other with dog food. he put both of it inside the cage and the puppy immediately ate. baekhyun sat on top of the table, gigi hesitates but sits next to baekhyun and looks a the puppy too.
baekhyun: what do you plan on naming him?
gigi: name him??
baekhyun: since you found him, you get to name him.
gigi: oh...umm...i guess sangchu would be good
baekhyun: sangchu? why??
gigi: i always wanted to have a dog named sangchu but my dad's allergic...
baekhyun: oh~
then they heard someone came in then shouted
guy: BAEKHYUN-IE!!!~
at the back...
baekhyun: [sighs] the owner's here....come on
baekhyun held gigi's wrist, and that made gigi blush again. baekhyun leads gigi out to the front desk and let go of her hand. gigi was disappointed and happy at the same time, gigi couldn't breath properly when he was holding her.
guy: Gigi-ya!?!
that caused gigi to go back to reality. she looked at the owner and saw a silly looking guy with a big smile on his face.
gigi: hyunwoo-shi!
hyunwoo: i told you to call me oppa [pouts]
gigi: eeiii....sireo...
hyunwoo: why are you here??
baekhyun: she found a puppy
hyunwoo: isn't mom here yet?
baekhyun: she said that she'll be late today
hyunwoo sighs then sits on top of the front desk
hyunwoo: gigi-ya...what do you think of taking a part-time job?
gigi: what?
hyunwoo: we're looking for new people since one of our staff went to japan...what do you think?
gigi: umm.. sure, it wont hurt to try.
hyunwoo: good. your shift is the same as baekhyu's. mon, wed, fri after school until 9pm
then sometimes at sat 10 am to 2pm
gigi: ok ^^
hyunwoo: bring some documents tomorrow and you can start at Monday.
gigi: but why me??
hyuwoo: well, you seem like an animal lover and i need someone i can trust. and if
you did something wrong it would be easy to hunt you down.
gigi: hahah...i wont do anything
hyunwoo: ok...
hyunwoo jumped off the table
hyunwoo: baekhyun, i need you to do something.
hyunwoo and baekhyun went to the back. once they were gone gigi smiled crazily and jumped up and down before falling on the chair.
gigi: [soundless scream] *i'm gonna work with baekhun!!!*
after a few kicks of joy. gigi realised something that made her smile disappear.
gigi: *wait. if they have a store here, they live near by. if they leave near by, they
might see where i live. and when they know where i live they will know that im-* [gasp]
gigi stood up, slowly went to the back door and poked her head in. they were arranging some things.
gigi: umm...
hyunwoo: oh, your still here i thought you went home. sorry.
gigi: its ok.. um i was wondering... do you guys leave near here??
hyunwoo: i wish it was, tis much easier to go to work.
gigi looked at baekhyun, waiting for his answer..
baekhyun: ah. its not far away but its not really close.
gigi: oh~~ *yes...thank you*
hyunwoo: how about you?
gigi: me?! [panicky] um.. just... you know...so-so
hyunwoo and baekhyun nods then goes back to what they were doing.
gigi: wel. i'll get going now
hyunwoo:[with a big smile] bye!!~
beakhyun: be safe [smiles]
gigi: [blushes] bye~^^
after that gigi went home...
