“well…” Ravi just sat there froze

Aeri was out of words

Aeri’s dad look to Ravi then to Aeri “So?”

“what are you talking about honey?” Aeri’s mom was confused

Kairi stood behind them and sighed

“They want you guys to accept their relationship” Kairi blurt it all out

Aeri and Ravi looked up to Kairi in shocked

Aeri’s mom and dad look at each other, her dad then laugh

“Why don’t you say so?” he smiled

Aeri’s mom nodded “I thought you really are pregnant”

Aeri faked laugh “How could I?”

Ravi awkwardly smiled “y-yeah”

Her dad then sat beside Ravi and pats his back “So this is Aeri’s boyfriend?”

Aeri nodded “Kim Ravi”

“Such a fine young man” her mom commented

“thank you” Ravi smiled

Aeri’s dad then thought of something “Why won’t you stay for dinner?”

Kairi huffed “next time I’ll bring my boyfriend”

Everyone look to Kairi “you have a boyfriend?” Aeri eyes widen

“You’re not the only one in the world unnie” she scoffed

After the dinner,

Aeri send Ravi out, they both then stand facing each other at the gate

“Where do you want to go tomorrow?” Ravi smiled

Aeri squish his cheeks “Anywhere” she giggle

Ravi holds both of her hand and leaned in to whisper at her ears “how about my house?”

She was a bit annoyed; she hits his chest “don’t want”

“I’m just joking” he laughs

“I’m tired” she yawned

He pats her head “Then we’ll just rest for tomorrow”

She nodded “I call you okay?”

He kissed her on the cheeks and nodded “I’ll be waiting then, bye”

She wave “Bye”

At his house,

Ravi slowly walked in his house

He puts down his house keys at a table beside the entrance door

He walked down to his living room and sat down on his big luxurious sofa, he sighed

“So tired” he mumbles

He never talk about his parents to Aeri, even Aeri doesn’t know his family background

It is because he was actually adopted to his family

He stayed alone since the couple had their first child after 16 years of marriage; they had a baby when Ravi was 13

He didn’t want to spoil the happiness he went out from the house and live alone

He knew his whole life was supposed to be alone

His foster father is a successful entrepreneur that is how he could live in such big house

Suddenly his phone house rang,

He stood up from the sofa and walked to the phone

He answered it “Hello”

“Hey son” someone from the other side

Ravi smiled “Hey dad”

Ravi could hear the voice of his foster little brother “Can I talk to hyung?”

“later Jiwoon-ah” His dad said

“So what’s up?” Ravi leaned on the wall

“Well your mom wants you to come home for dinner tomorrow”

Ravi scratches his head “I don’t know dad, I’m busy” he lied

“Come on son, one dinner” he begged

Ravi sighed “yeah sure I will”

“ah good then at 6 okay” His dad added

“mm kay” Ravi answered

Then suddenly the phone was passed to Jiwoon, his little brother

“hyung!” Jiwoon happily said

Ravi smiled “Jiwoon-ah”

“It has been 1 year since you last meet us” His voice was a bit sad

“Sorry Jiwoon-ah, hyung is busy” Ravi’s face was down

“You missed my 5^th birthday” Jiwoon sobs

Ravi felt guilty “I’ll meet you tomorrow don’t worry”

“I want to show you a lot of stuff” He added

“then I’ll see you tomorrow” Ravi smiled

“Oh okay then”

“Goodnight Jiwoon-ah” he ended the call

Ravi only wish was to have his own job and change his family name

He wants his foster parents raise Jiwoon properly without him

But he really loves Jiwoon so much, but he knows he wasn’t a part of the family from the start

It was all because of the maids talking about that him when he came back from school, when he was 15

Flashback

“Did you know master Ravi was adopted?” one of the maid said

The other maid was shocked “Really? How could that be?”

“Because the mistress can’t give birth” the other maid nodded

“So Jiwoon is their only real son” the other asked

“yeah”

Ravi entered the house with a sad face

Both of the maids startled

“Oh master Ravi you’re home” they awkwardly bowed

He ignored them today, but he always smiled to them usually

That night,

At the living room,

“How could you not tell me that I’m not your son?” Ravi cried

His mom was on the floor crying

“Ravi, we’re so sorr-“ his dad was cut off

“Why don’t you tell me?!” Ravi fell down on his knees

Both of the maids stood in front of them with their head down, they were guilty

“But we treated you like you’re ours” His mother crawl to him slowly

Ravi put his hand at his ears “I can’t believe this!”

His mother hugged him “Ravi please understand mom and dad”

“No!” he shouts

“Ravi-ah” His dad begged him on his knees

Ravi then stares into his dad’s eyes

“Are you just using me in case you don’t have a heir?” he said bluntly

His mother hugged him more tightly “No, Ravi no”

“Son we never thought like that” his dad came to him and wiped his tears

“We always love you” his mother repeats

Ravi cried the whole night

End of flashback

Ravi lay on his bed and turn to look at the clock on the wall

“It’s 11 pm” he yawned

He then slowly fell asleep
