“Aeri” the sound of Jiyoung’s voice was soft

Jiyoung heard sobbing in the bathroom; she just couldn’t help but to feel pity for her friend. Jiyoung sighed, and knock on the door this time.

“Are you okay?”

Aeri sobs “Yeah… I’m fine…”

“Do you want to talk?”

“No, no I am fine” Aeri wiped her nose

Jiyoung take a last look at the bathroom door, and turned “I’m going to buy us dinner okay?”

“mhm”

A ringtone suddenly heard, she took out her phone from her bag beside her and answered it without even looking at the caller.

“Aeri noona!” of course it was Hyuk

Aeri try to hide her sobbing and smiled “Hyuk-ah”

“Noona, I can’t wait for another two days! I want to hug you” She can imagine him pouting

Aeri softly laughs “yeah…”

Her answers were short not like those other times Hyuk called her. So he was curious,

“Were you crying?” Hyuk’s voice suddenly turns deep

Aeri didn’t answer him, then her head fall on her thigh and he can hear her sobbing.

“Noona…”

“I hate myself because I can’t love you… and… I hate that I never ever realise it” she breathes in and then started to cry harder

Hyuk was in silence for about 10 minutes, he only listens to her crying.

“Noona…”

He then continued “rest well okay? Goodnight”

He just wants to give her space so he ended the call.

After a while, Aeri got out from the bathroom. Her face was a bit swollen from all the crying she did. She was in the bathroom for about 4 hours and Jiyoung just left to buy dinner. She walked to her notepad. She wanted to continue her work but she accidently pushed it to the floor. It fell

“oh no” she picked up her papers

Then she saw something, a picture. She picks it up and notice it was a picture of her and Ravi, she turn it to the back and saw a message.

‘Aeri, Happy 2^nd anniversary babe!..

She reads it and her eyes widen “it was 4 months ago, why didn’t I see this?” she then continue reading

‘I hid it really well so read it carefully okay? Just like always and forever, I love you Jung Aeri. I know we both are busy these past few months but I will never forget about you. I’ve been doing some rapping at this club you see, but well some girls did try to grind me but just BELIEVE me, I didn’t want to. You should come and visit the club sometime it’s at Myeondong near the big shopping mall. It’s called ‘ACE’. Anyway happy 2^nd anniversary to both of us and I hope we’ll be together for a long time, no, forever’

“Why didn’t he explain it to me?” she sat down on the bed

Then the days pass by whenever Woosung and Jiyoung want to meet up, Jiyoung would ask Aeri first because she don’t want to see Aeri to get hurt if there’s Ravi. Then the last day came, Jiyoung and Aeri stand with their colleagues waiting for their train.

“Are you going straight home later?” Jiyoung asked

“yeah”

“Not meeting Hyuk?”

Aeri shook her head “He has practice today”

The train arrived; they both hopped on and choose a two people seat. They don’t want to invite other people with them anymore. Along the ride, Aeri didn’t say a word and Jiyoung was just reading her book. Her mind was also blank she didn’t know what to think.

“Are you coming to the studio tomorrow?” Jiyoung pulled up her bag

Aeri nodded “I will”

“Then see you tomorrow, bye” Jiyoung waved

Aeri waved back and then she turned around. She saw Ravi but he was facing his back. He took his bag and slowly walk off with Woosung.

Aeri started to walk. She didn’t really have a destination on where she was going. So she just keep walking. She then felt tired, she put her bag down and look up.

“ACE?” She read the sign

She then gasp “h-how did I get here?” she stuttered

She look at her watch, it was 7 pm. “I walked all the way from the KTX to MyeongDong” she just can’t believe at what she just did

“Hey lady if you’re planning to go in later at 9, better suit up or no one would dance with you” a group of boys teases her

She looked down at what she was wearing. It was a long blue dress, she admits she looks like a grandma in the dress and it’s not appropriate for clubs. She turn her back and wanted to walk away, but something stops her. She starts debating with herself.

After a long arguing with her brain she entered the club after all at 10 pm. (since it would be embarrassing to enter at 9, wearing like a grandma) she got a sticker on her hand when she entered and it says ‘K.R.V’

“KRV?” she said it out loud

“Stands for Kim Ravi” a voice answered

She turns and saw a guy “Oh thank you”

He smiled, he then leaned in and whispers “May I know why a beautiful young lady like you in here?”

“Why?”

“Because your dress” he giggled

“sorry” she blushed

“it’s okay. Sorry to be rude, My name is Hongbin a friend of the performer today”

“Ravi?”

“Yeah” he nods

“I’m Aeri”

“Aeri? What a beautiful name” Hongbin said

He then brought her inside helping Aeri to get usual with the place. When she was in, loud music start blasting beside her ears.

“It looks like there are a lot of girls again because of Ravi” Hongbin shouts

“He’s that famous!” she shouts back because of the loud music

Hongbin nodded

Suddenly the music stops, a girl came up on the stage.

“This is the part where all of you gals been waiting for!” all the girls in the club screams

“Here is Ravi!”

Hongbin clapped “Woah!”

Aeri also clap but softly

“He wrote most of his song” Hongbin told Aeri

“Really?”

“Yeah… but the weird thing is it’s about this one girl”

Aeri hesitates for a moment “Girl huh”

“Today he’s rapping a new song he just composed” Hongbin smiled

The song started slow. It sound so depressing and hurt, the crowd then went silent. Ravi walked up on the stage and sat down on a chair provided.

“She…” he start

Aeri stare at him

“She was beautiful that’s how I recalled,
She said she loves me every day and night.
We kiss, we hug, we love each other,
but truth lies in her heart she loves another.”

Aeri know the song was to her “No Ravi” she whispered

“She believes those lies,
But won’t see it with her eyes.
She said I am a liar,
But that guy hugged her.

What should I do? What should I do?”

Aeri looked down to her feet and closed her eyes.

“She won’t love me back…”

Aeri waits for the last line,

“So I do too”

Hongbin clapped “That was really good”

“y-yeah” Aeri sobs

“Do you want to meet him?” Hongbin asked

“What?”

“Do you?”

Aeri shook her head “I have to go”

Hongbin grab her arm “Come on! You’re a lucky fan today!”
