Let It Snow 01

Snow

I hate the snow.

The way it’s harshness leaves you cold, shivering, alone. There’s something about the way it covers the streets with a blanket of white, making it look dull, dead, and empty, and the way my breath fogs as I cry out.

It was snowing when she left me.

Let it snow, Let it snow. Come to me, come back to me.

She was gone.

A couple of weeks ago, I saw her, she was as bright and bubbly as ever. I took her to an amusement park. She convinced me to get on the roller coaster, but I initially refused. Wuss. She taunted me over and over, until I reluctantly agreed. We held hands the entire ride. We got on the Ferris wheel next, I kissed her when our gondola reached the topmost.

I whispered in her ear, I love you. She held her breath for a second, before hugging me, her arms around my torso. How do you feel about me now? I hugged her back. She told me she still felt the same way I did. Do you love me? She nodded.

We played on every single game booth. She at playing ring toss, but she did well with darts. I discovered that I was pretty good at shooting games. She said she wanted the big teddy bear, and I won it for her. She jumped when I was able to score enough points for it. She hugged me when I handed the bear over to her.

We walked around, her one hand holding mine, her other clutching her new teddy bear. We ate cotton candy, we laughed, we watched the fireworks. It was perfect.

I love you. And like the first time, she pinched my cheek, smiling at me.

A few days after that, she called me after I had finished a recording. Her voice sounded weak. She asked me to come see her. She gave me an address, and I asked my manager to bring me there.

My heart dropped when the car stopped in front of a hospital. I could hear my heart pounding on my ears. I hesitated to open the car door. Maybe we were in the wrong place. This couldn’t be it. Why would she lead me to a hospital?

I called her again, but an unfamiliar voice picked up. It was her mother. I asked for Yoonmi, what I got in reply was a room number. 1204. My head was spinning. What’s going on?

1196. 1198. 1200. 1202.

1204. Yoonmi, Song.

Because it's beautiful.
Every paragraph was just ... filled with sadness. And as I read it, I had this feeling that couldn't shake off.
I must've tweeted to Steph a million times about how I was crying in the end.
And I swear to god I was. Ohmygod. Hyunseung is my bias, this is unhealthy for me OTL.
But this was a really good fic. And I give you best of luck to any of your on-going or future projects.
I shall remember you as one of the only two people who have made me cry with their fics.
