Chapter: 9 (Bom's POV)
The SwitcherooChapter 9- Life Lessons
Bom's POV
My life .
Well actually, Jenny's did.
But this was my plan to begin with and I had to follow through.
The rest of my time at school had flown by. It was filled with the student's gossiping, the topic being about me, and I doubted that they were saying anything good. After I told my new friends the boy's name at lunch, not a word was spoken to me. No one really explained why because after all, I ought to know. But from what I picked up from the whispers was:
Taeyang went to her school.
He was a senior, the star basketball player, and was very very popular. And because of his high status at the school, he was the dream boy every girl wanted. That alone, made the rumors spread even faster.
Everyone was scared to talk to me now, not wanting to do anything that would risk a punishment from Taeyang. The only one I could still count on was Dara, since she was the only one who wasn't starstruck by the news. Everyone else would get over it.
For me, this was a lesson on why parents tell their children not to lie. Most of the time, somebody's gonna find out unless you're a skilled politician or just plain lucky. I just hoped that I could find Jiyong quickly and hoped he hadn't heard the rumors. I wanted to get out of school as soon as possible.
After I practically forced her supplies in my bag, I turned to tell Dara goodbye. She stopped mid-wave as she saw someone else had caught Dara's attention.
I turned around slowly, wishing that the person behind wasn't who I thought it was.
Another lesson learned: Wishes don't always come true.
"H-hey Taeyang!"
