A/N: Who`s excited for EXO comeback!! haha, well I am ;D but that`s not what this update is about, It`s just another chapter to my story, and I will spell check this later, I just wanted to get it out before the MV is released because I know I`l forget to post it after that xD I`ll be too caught up in rewatching it over and over again xD So enjoy this my lovely reader~ Oh and what do you think of the poster? I made it myself so it`s not too good xD but i felt I needed to have something at least until I get  something better ^^

You were in your room, deep in thought while absent mindedly scribbling down gibberish on a piece of paper. It was supposed to form proper sentences and ideas for a new fantasy novel you wanted to write, as a second project next to the romantic novel which temporarily had been put on hold while you figured out a few questions that had been circling your head recently.  Most of your questions were related to the six boys that were probably currently running about the house doing god know what.  A cool summer breeze swept in through the open window and caressed your cheeks while playing a playful game of tag with your hair.  But you hardly noticed that as you continued to write down nonsense on the white page in front of you. A frustrated sigh was about to escape your lips just as a loud knock came from the door. You cleared your throat slightly and turned in your seat for face the door.

“Come in” You pushed a few strands of hair behind your ears and made a quick sweep over your room with your eyes, silently determining that it was indeed clean enough for a guest to enter.

Suho carefully poked his head into the room and let his hazel eyes scan it for you. When he noticed you by your desk at the far left end of the room he let a bright smile spread across his lips as he entered and walked over to you.

“What are you doing?” He asked as he grabbed the extra chair you had standing by the desk and sat down.

“Just thinking.” You shrugged and offered a small smile which Suho returned.

“What about?” He asked again, the bright smile never once leaving his pale features.  You sighed once and turned your gaze from Suho to look at the piece of paper beside you.

“Everything that`s happened lately.”  You let out a small chuckle.” You know I write stories about the impossible for a living, it`s my job to believe in things that aren`t supposed to be real. But –“You hesitated for a moment and briefly looked at Suho, his smile had faltered slightly and he was carefully listening to every word you spoke. You moved your gaze to the window, letting a weak smile form on your lips.” But when something impossible actually happens to me, when I`m actually caught up in a mess that might well be from one of my stories, I can`t believe any of it. I don`t understand it.” Suho nodded, silently inclining that he understood everything you said, and then silence fell. You weren`t sure how to continue the conversation and Suho seemed to struggle with it as well. But then he reached out and grabbed your hand in his and leaned his head forward in an attempt to catch your gaze. You didn`t resist and allowed your eyes to meet his, they were darker now, and he squeezed your hand softly as he spoke.

“I`ll answer all your questions.” It was a simple sentence really, one not really meant to offer as much comfort as it did to you. In this whole mess the only thing you really desired was some answers, you needed them to be able to move forward. You knew you couldn`t get out, you weren`t even sure you wanted to get out anymore, but you did want some answers. So in response to Suho you nodded and took a deep breath. At first you were unsure of where to start, but then you realized that it was always best to start from somewhere around the beginning.

“That thing I saw Kai turn into a few days ago, was that his werewolf form?” Suho leaned back slightly against the chair, releasing your hands in the process and crossed his arms while moving his gaze towards the floor, as if he was pondering how to best answer the question. After some time he finally looked up at you again.

“Well, yes and no.” You furrowed you eyebrows but remained silence to let Suho continue.” That was the form a werewolf takes when they are in between.”

“In between?” you questioned, unable to hold in your confusion.

“Yes, in between not having a soul mate and the acceptance of their soul mate.”  Suho noticed that your eyebrows remained furrowed and so a light chuckle escaped him.

“Believe it or not, there are three stages to becoming a proper werewolf. When a werewolf doesn’t have a soul mate or just remains unaware of who their soul mate is, they don`t change forms at all, their beast form is the same as their human form and all that might change is their eye color along with their nails and teeth growing sharper. That is the first stage of a werewolf and also the weakest. The second stage is the stage in between, the stage where a werewolf is the most unstable. It occurs only when a werewolf has found their soul mate but he or she has yet to accept the werewolf as their soul mate.” Suho turned his gaze towards you.” The last stage occur when a werewolf is accepted by their soul mate, their transformation is then a big wolf.” Another small chuckle escaped Suho as added.” Much like how your kind describes werewolves in stories.” You couldn`t help but let out a small laugh before continuing with your questions.

“That seems complicated, but it leads me to my next question, why am I Kais soul mate? What`s so special about me?"

“Honestly, nothing really.” Suho stated without even blinking, but he kept a serene smile on his face. ”It doesn’t work like that. No one really knows how it`s decided but some like to believe in fate. We can`t choose ourselves who our soul mate is, and we only know we`ve found him or her when we fall sick because of it”

“So how did Kai find me?” you questioned.

“Well, we were on our way to meet up with another pack, the other half of our pack actually, when Kai suddenly collapsed on the ground.” Suho caught your eyes once again and grinned.” It happened at the edge of the forest just in front of your house. Al though at first we weren`t sure it was because of him finding his soul mate but when we realized his pain got worse the further we got from the house it wasn`t difficult to connect the dots.” You nodded slowly, trying to absorb all this new information and Suho patiently waited. He placed both hands on the edge of his seat in between his legs as he leaned forward, keeping his eyes on you the whole time.

“So how does it work? This whole soul mate thing?” you finally asked as you waved one hand in the air before crossing both across your chest. Suho leaned back in his chair again and let out a small breath.

“Well, you and Kai are connected sort of. Whenever you are in pain Kai will feel it and vice versa. A rejection from ones soul mate can, as Jaejoong said, kill the werewolf because the soul mate is basically the werewolf’s other half. We live for our soul mate and without him or her we die ourselves, that bond however, only go one way since it is our animal side that connects so strongly.  So if Kai were to die you would still survive despite suffering immense pain, Kai however, would die.” Your eyes widened and a shaky gasp escaped your lips.

“W-what?” Suho bit his lip, slowly regretting telling you so much so quickly, but then he continued.

“It`s not all bad, when a werewolf finds his soul mate he grows stronger in order to be able to protect their mate. They also, as you might have noticed, grow very affectionate. Once a werewolf has found their soul mate all they want to do is be near that person, to touch and hold them. “ You were hardly listening by now, the idea that Kai would die if you did still hung heavy in your mind, Suho noticed this so once again he leaned forward and grabbed your hands in his, forcing you to look him in the eyes.

“Don`t worry, you won`t die, Kai will…we will make sure of that. We will protect you, all of us.” He chuckled slightly.” Like it or not Jin, but you`re part of our pack now, as Kai`s soul mate and our friend.” You squeezed his hand, once again it was a lot of heavy information to take in, but you believed that this time you could cope with it. AS you looked into Suhos eyes you felt something tug at your heart, a sensation you`d felt before, but you shrugged it off as nothing and smiled at him instead.

“thank you Suho. I think I`m good for now. I`ll come find you again if I need more answers.” Suho nodded and gave your hands another reassuring squeeze before he let go and rose to his feet.

“So what do you say we go and see what the others are up to?”

“Sounds like a plan.” You laughed and followed Suho out of your room.

Suho peeked into the library first before walking in with you close behind. You let your gaze wander over the many rows of books that filled up three of the four walls in the room, it was one of your favorite places in the whole mansion. Your eyes travelled up the high bookshelves to the windows that were placed high above them, close to the ceiling, allowing only smaller rays of sunshine seep through. It wasn`t dimly lit though since it had two larger chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to add additional lighting to the usually silent room. It was usually silent but today it was very rowdy, Baekhyun and Chanyeol were arguing over what Kyungsoo should cook for dinner and both refused to compromise.

“Steak!” Chanyeol roared while Baekhyun rolled his eyes.

“You always want steak, tonight we`re eating Bulgogi!” He argued as he crossed his arms and glared up at the taller. Chanyeol gritted his teeth and returned he glare.

“Steak!” he hissed while narrowing his eyes, a look Baekhyun returned.

“Bulgogi!”  You and Suho both looked from one to the other for a few moments until you moved your gaze towards Kyungsoo who stood not far away from both of them with his arms crossed and an impatient look across his face. You nudged Suho slightly before walking up to Kyungsoo, passing Sehun who was reading on the couch on the way. You glanced at the youngest as you passed him and silently wondered how he could ever get any reading done with all the screaming going on around him.

“What`s up Kyungsoo.” You said with a smile as you reached the still unamused boy who kept his slightly orange eyes on the arguing pair.

“Fine I suppose.” With a heavy sigh he turned towards you.” You know, if they were the ones cooking it I wouldn`t have a problem with them arguing over dinner, but since I am the one cooking it bothers me that I can`t participate in making the decision.” A smaller pout found its way to Kyungsoos lips as he once again glanced over at Chanyeol and Baekhyun with furrowed eyebrows. You had to force yourself to hold back the laughter that threatened to come out at any second.

“Why don`t we make both, I`ll help.” You offered kindly and Kyungsoos eyes lit up the moment the words left your lips.

“Really? That would be a big help.” His eyes practically sparkled as he turned towards the still arguing pair.

“We`re making both so just be quiet will you.” He hollered and when both boys grew silent he let out a content sigh.

“Finally they`re quiet.” This time you couldn`t  hold the laughter back and instead you allowed it to ring out loud and clear through the library, receiving amused looks from Suho and Kyungsoo while Sehun, Baekhyun and Chanyeol only seemed to be confused.

In the midst of your laughter you didn`t notice Kai entering the library with a pleased smile on his face.

“Jin!” He called happily as he noticed you wiping a few tears from the corners of your eyes as your laughter had died down.  You smiled at Kai when you noticed him walking towards you.

“Hey Kai.” You said, still slightly out of breath from laughing so much. “where have you been?”

“I- “Kai seemed to hesitate as he suddenly stopped in his tracks, and for a brief moment his smile faded. ”I just had to make a quick call, nothing important.”

“Really? Okay, well we`re just about to make dinner, you want to help?” You offered as you nodded towards Kyungsoo who smiled back in return. Kai grinned widely and grabbed your hand.

“Yes.” You nodded and as he started to pull you towards the door you grabbed Kyungsoos hand.

“Let`s go.”  With both Kyungsoo and Kais hand in yours you felt safe, and loved, two feelings you didn`t know you had been missing until you met them.  It was definitely not a bad feeling, and with every day that passed you began to grew more and more accepting towards these new people that had practically just barged into your life.

Your smile grew wider and as you noticed Suho and the rest of the boys follow close behind you couldn`t help but think that maybe it wasn`t such a bad thing to get to know these people a little better and to maybe let them get to know you a little better.
