- 3^rd Person Pov-

-Byul-

As said, I had finished making the perfect plan, within 4 days. So right now, Jaejoong was sitting on the sofa in the living room, while I am currently explaining the plan to him.

‘You got people to help you right?’ Byul asked, looking at Jaejoong

Jaejoong shook his head, no. ‘I, alone…can’t complete this mission?’ he asked

Byul, gave Jaejoong a funny look ‘of course you can’t do this alone. This is the Black Lotus we’re talking about, not a single man rubbery.’ She said.

Jaejoong blinked a couple of times ‘But…I don’t have anyone to help me.’ He stated

Byul gave him a disbelief look...’ Don’t you have at least ONE friend or person to help you?!’ she exclaimed

Jaejoong tapped his chin, while thinking for a minute…’No. None.’ He confirmed

Byul mouth dropped open, staring wide eyes at Jaejoong. ‘WHAT IS THIS?!!!!!’ She mentally screamed

‘But…’ Jaejoong suddenly said, causing Byul to look at him. Jaejoong then pointed at Her. ‘There is you.’

‘WHAT?!!!!!’ Byul shouted in shock at Jaejoong.

Jaejoong nod, satisfied ‘Yeah. You will help me.’ He stated

‘YAH! I can’t!’ Byul exclaimed

Jaejoong raised a brow at her ‘Why not?’ he questioned ‘You already helped me this far, might as well help me to the end.’

Byul rubbed the back of her neck and let out a stressed sigh ‘It’s not that I won’t help you. It’s that I can’t and not capable of it.’ She reasoned

Jaejoong gave her a questioning look ‘What do you mean you can’t and not capable? You’re KSSA Agent’ he stated

‘Yes. I am an KSSA Agent. But my field is strategizing and nothing else.’ She said ‘I never, and I mean NEVER gone on missions before. Sure I am often used as bait but that’s all.’

‘Why?’ he asked

‘Because don’t have any battle capabilities or skills. Not even self defense or know how to use a gun’ She answered

Jaejoong eyes widen staring surprised at Byul ‘You mean you can’t fight…at ALL?!’ He exclaimed

Byul nod sulkily ‘Yes.’ She answered

‘WHAT THE HELL!’ Jaejoong mentally screamed ‘They actually let someone in without even self defense?! Don’t they at least teach the basics to trainees?!’

‘I know what your thinking. And it’s rather complicated and not a story I would want to talk about’ Byul said.

Jaejoong was still staring at her in disbelief for a while before he rubbed his forehead frustrated.

‘There’s no other way then…’ Jaejoong suddenly said, getting Byul’s attention.

‘Huh?’ Byul questioned

Jaejoong looked at her in the eye, showing nothing but seriousness and determination. ‘I’m going to teach you. I’ll teach you defense, attack and shooting.’ He stated

‘WHAT?!’ Byul shouted in shock

Jaejoong folded his arms and smirked ‘You heard me.’ He said

Still surprised by the sudden announcement  Byul continue to stare at him with wide eyes ‘B-but…W-What?...H-huh!’ She stuttered not knowing what to say.

 Jaejoong stood up, walking towards Byul and stopped in front of her, while Byul, her eyes followed Jaejoong’s action and stared up at him.

‘It’s going to be long and hard 4 days ahead for you.’ Jaejoong said with a small smile, he then poked Byul on the forehead ‘So you better listen and train hard with me.’

With Byul’s mind still comprehending and processing all of the information…her mind went blank and was scrambled. Jaejoong ignored this, grabbing a hold on to her hand and pulled her out to the backyard…to begin her training.

-Agents-

3 days passed already, and they had only managed to pick up a few of the security cameras with Byul and her kidnapper. They had also found the vehicle that the kidnapper had used to kidnap Byul, they attempted to track the car down by it’s number place. But only to find out that it was a fake, it disappointed them that they had to go back to looking through the cameras again.

‘Yah, Daehyun take a break.’ Youngjae said, walking into the computer lab.

Daehyun shook his head without looking away from the computer screen ‘you guys take a break, I’m not tired yet.’ He said

It was no joke that ever since they had arrived to their secret hideout, Daehyun was in the computer lab 24 hours for 3 days straight and this worried everyone of his health. He of course would eat…but that was only when someone brought it in for him or else he would completely forget about it, Youngjae would mainly come and tell Daehyun to join them for meals but Daehyun would reject them and only continue to work. So it mainly resulted that the agents would bring Daehyun’s meal to him, but the biggest concern was that he wasn’t sleeping.

Youngjae let out a sigh, walking up to Daehyun and stopped behind him. ‘Daehyun, you need to rest. You haven’t been sleeping.’ He said

‘No. I’m fine. I’m not tired.’ Daehyun answered not taking his eyes off the screen

‘Your worrying everyone. It’s not good for your health.’ Youngjae reasoned

There was no response this time from Daehyun.

‘Fine. I’ll bring you, your lunch, at least eat.’ Youngjae said and left the room.

-Youngjae-

Youngjae went to the kitchen, where the rest of the agents were eating their lunch. Seeing Youngjae returned everyone looked at him.

‘His not moving away is he?’ Jieun asked

Youngjae nod ‘Yeah, his being stubborn and hard headed again.’ He said

Himchan fixed up Daehyun’s lunch on a plate and gave it to Youngjae

Youngjae stared at the plate of food…and an idea came into mind. He placed the plate of food on to the table and went to one of the kitchen cabinets, opening one and going through it.

‘What are you looking for Youngjae?’ Hyosung questioned

Everyone eyes was on Youngjae and his actions.

Yongguk noticed that the cabinet that Youngjae was going through was the medicine one. ‘Youngjae are you not feeling well?’ he asked

Youngjae finally found what he was looking for and took the small bottle container out.

Hana with sharp eyes caught the label of the container ‘Sleeping pills?’ she questioned

Youngjae got a glass and filled it with water. ‘Yep. If his not going to sleep…I’ll drug him to sleep.’ He stated

The agents all gave him a disbelief look ‘Seriously?’ they all questioned

Youngjae took out a tablet and dropped it into the glass of water ‘What other options do we have? His not sleeping and it’s not good for him’ he stated

There was a short silence

‘I agree with Youngjae’ Yongguk said breaking the silence with a nod ‘ It’ll affect his health if he continues the way he is.’

The agents gave looks to each other before a grin or a smirk appeared on their faces.

‘Go for it Youngjae.’ Jongup said nodding

‘I think Daehyun Hyung needs at least 4 pills’ Zelo said, earning a hit on the head from Himchan

‘Idiot, you want him to sleep for a week!’ Himchan scolded

‘well…that wouldn’t be too bad.’ Sunhwa, Jieun, Yongguk, Youngjae and Jongup said

Zelo without hesitation added a few more pills in.

‘Yah! ARE YOU CRAZY!’ Hyosung and Himchan shouted

‘Daehyun Hyung really needs to be knocked out a few days’ Zelo stated

After the pill dissolved, Youngjae carried the food and glass of drink to the computer lab. The other agents who wanted to see what would happen, followed silently behind Youngjae.

‘Here, eat up and continue.’ Youngjae said placing the food and drink on to the table beside Daehyun.

‘thanks’ Daehyun said and picked up one of the sandwiches on the plate, eating it.

The other agents who were peeking through the door, watched Daehyun. ‘Drink your water!!!’ They thought

Youngjae who seem to have read their minds, seated himself next to Daehyun ‘you have to drink as well, you need more mineral’ he said

Daehyun paused for a bit, turning to look at Youngjae then to the glass of water. Daehyun picked it up.

‘Drink it. Drink it!’ the other agents whispered to themselves.

Daehyun brought the glass up close to his lips. All the agents watched in anticipation.

SLAM!

‘You really think I’ll fall for this Youngjae?’ Daehyun questioned

Daehyun held Youngjae in a head lock while shoving the glass of water into Youngjae’s lip, forcing him to drink down the drugged water. Youngjae was trashing his arms around but it didn’t do much…in less then 10 seconds…Youngjae was knocked out sleeping on the ground

‘how many did he exactly put in there…’Daehyun thought staring down at the sleeping Youngjae

Daehyun placed the glass on the table and turned towards the door.

‘Yah, I know your all there.’ He stated

slowly, the other agents, one by one came in.

‘That’s quite harsh to do that to him don’t you think?’ Himchan questioned looking down at the sleeping Youngjae

Daehyun rolled his eyes ‘like you guys aren’t apart of it.’ He retorted

‘Leader has always been super sharp.’ The other agents thought.

‘He only did it to try and help you Daehyun’ Yongguk reason ‘you haven’t been resting enough. That’s going to affect your health.’

Himchan nod ‘not to mention your concentration’ he added

Daehyun turned away and went back to his seat ‘I’ll rest when I’m tired’ he said

Everyone raised a brow ‘and when exactly will that be?’ Hyosung asked

‘When Byul gets back safely’ Daehyun answered

Sunhwa let out a sigh ‘I know it important to get Byul back, believe me she’s a family to us all.’ She said ‘But…acting like this isn’t going to help getting her back.’

Zelo nod ‘Noona is right Hyung. Byul Noona wouldn’t be happy if she knows you were behaving like this.’ He added

‘She wouldn’t know of this.’ Daehyun said ‘I don’t care if she’s unhappy with me, as long as she’s back then it’s worth her anger on me.’

It seemed that Daehyun’s love for Byul had gone to a whole new level. Sure he had always madly in love with the strategist, but it was growing into something that could kill their leader one day.

The other agents gave looks to each other. As if communicating to each other through their eyes. Yongguk gave a nod as the others returned it.

SLAM CRASH THUD

‘YAH! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!’ Daehyun shouted

Zelo, Jongup and Himchan had tackled Daehyun of his seat and held him down on the ground.

‘Sorry Leader, but this is for your own good’ Hana said watching from the sideline

Yongguk took out the bottle of sleeping pills from his pocket…from the very beginning, he knew well that Youngjae wouldn’t succeed…well all of the agents knew because after all Daehyun and Youngjae are the best of friends since childhood…it’s only obvious that Daehyun would know what Youngjae is up to.

‘YAH! GET OF OFF ME!’ Daehyun shouted and struggled under Zelo, Jongup and Himchan’s hold.

Yongguk took out two pills and tried to shrove them into Daehyun’s mouth, but being stubborn Daehyun is, he kept his mouth close tight.

‘Daehyun, seriously don’t be stubborn and hard headed right now’ Jieun commented

But Daehyun didn’t listen, he continue to struggle and keep his mouth closed

‘AISHI! SERIOUSLY!!!’ Himchan shouted in frustration.

JAP

‘F***--‘

GLUP

THUD

Himchan was frustrated by the stubborn Daehyun, venting out his frustrations he roughly jabbed Daehyun at his side, making Daehyun curse due to the pain. Taking this opening chance Yongguk quickly shrove the pills into Daehyun’s mouth and covered his hand over his mouth, to prevent Daehyun from spitting them out. After about 5 minutes Daehyun was knocked out.

‘Finally’ Sunhwa commented

The guys got off of Daehyun and looked down at him.

‘That’s a mission success’ Himchan stated with a satisfied nod.

‘VICTORY~’ Zelo and Jongup cheered

‘Well yeah…but what about the other one?’ Sunhwa questioned, looking at the sleeping Youngjae ‘that idiot will be out for at least 4 days.’

‘Yeah…don’t we need him? His the computerist.’ Jieun added

There was a short silence amongst the standing agents before they all shrugged their shoulders.

‘Leave him be’ Yongguk said ‘Just get Daehyun to his room’

‘Yes Sir’ Zelo and Jongup said and carried Daehyun to his room.

-Jaejoong Pov-

I stood in my backyard with Byul, who was staring at me.

‘your being serious?’ She asked

I let out a sigh ‘for the 100^th time, yes.’ I said

Byul let out her own sigh ‘okay then…’ she said ‘what’s first?’

I smiled ‘with the basics. Punching.’ I said, ‘come and punch at me’

Byul raised a brow ‘Don’t you have a punching bag?’ she asked

I shook my head no. ‘C’mon, don’t worry.’ I encouraged her. ‘Punch as hard as you can’

‘Don’t blame me, if you get bruises’ She stated

I chuckled and nod ‘Neh.’ I said

Byul draw her fist back before striking it hard at me, aiming for my chest. Having fast instincts and reflexes, my left hand shot up and blocked it…

I raised a brow at her ‘Your not kidding me right?’ I questioned her

Byul gave me a questioning look ‘what?’ she questioned, her fist dropped to her side

‘Don’t blame me, if you get bruises?’ I mocked her in a high pinched voice before I snapped at her ‘Who the Heck are you going to hurt! You call that a punch?! You wouldn’t even make a baby cry!’

Byul pouted with a frown ‘Yah! Just so you know that was my hardest punch! It’s probably just that your stronger then me!’ she argued

Just like an adorable kid…

I rolled my eyes ‘OR…your just too weak.’ I retorted

‘That’s Mean! Get someone else to help you then!’ Byul said angrily crossing her arms

‘Well unfortunately for me, there’s no one else.’ I said and let out a sigh ‘so I guess ,I have to train you from the basics…’

‘But really, why can’t we just find someone else?’ Byul asked ‘ You can hire someone, or unless it’s because you don’t have the money for it.’

I shook my head ‘no, i have the money....’ I said

‘Then that’s our problem solved. Hire someone to help you out’ She stated

‘I have the money but I don’t trust anyone’ I added

There was a short silence between us…

‘And you, trust me?’ Byul questioned with a brow raised

With no hesitation, I nodded ‘Neh. I trust you.’ I said confidently

There was a flash of surprised in her eyes.

‘Haven’t you already realized it, when I took you out?’ I questioned

‘W-Well…Y-yea…but…’ Byul seemed at loss of words

‘You’re a KSSA Agent. As a KSSA Agent, they are always trust-worthy.’ I added ‘who’s better then a KSSA Agent I’ve found.’

‘KSSA agents are only trust worthy to their fellow agents and the innocent people.’ Byul said

Well that hurts…fellow agents and innocent people? Where does that put me under?

‘But to friends and families…we’ll stay loyal and always got each other’s back.’ She added with a smile ‘and we’re friends right?’

My eyes widen, surprised by her words…but there was an overjoyed feeling inside. I was considered her friend.

I smiled and nod ‘Yeah. We’re friends’ I said

Byul then let out a sigh ‘well I honestly can’t do much and won’t be of a lot help…’ she said looking down ‘but I’ll try my best to help you. So have hope and train me well.’

Byul was determined, her eyes said so. Which made me smile more.

‘We only have 4 or so days left. But let’s make the best of it and train hard.’ I said

Byul nod ‘Neh.’ She said smiling

I had the feeling…that the next 4 days or so…will make us get closer as friends, maybe even more then just friends ….if I’m lucky.

-The Next Day- -1^st day of Training-

-3^rd Person Pov-

‘Your really going to teach me how to us a gun first?’ Byul questioned Jaejoong with a very doubtful look.

Jaejoong let out a sigh ‘For the millionth time, yes.’ He stated, while holding out a gun in front of Byul for her to take

Byul looked at the gun hesitated before back at Jaejoong again ‘We can’t just do defense or combat training first?’ she questioned

‘I have very low hope on any physical, hand on, combat or even punches with you…after with what you thought was a punch yesterday.’ Jaejoong stated with slight mockery in his tone

Byul frowned it’s was only a one time thing! And besides, what happen if I accidently shoot someone with that gun while practicing.’ She stated

Jaejoong rolled his eyes ‘If you haven’t noticed, we’re in the middle of nowhere, kilometers away from any town, city or other homes’ he reasoned ‘look just take it, you’ll do fine…I’ll be right beside you to guild you anyway.’

Feeling convinced and more confident, Byul took the gun from Jaejoong.

‘It’s pretty heavy’ Byul commented amusingly

‘Please don’t say, you never even held a gun before…’ Jaejoong said

Byul blinked a couple of times ‘Correct, you guessed your answer’ she said sheepishly

Jaejoong face palmed ‘What the F*** DO they teach at KSSA nowadays…is there even qualifications needed? Or do they just let hobos in too?’ he thought unhappily.

Ignoring those thoughts, Jaejoong turned his attention back to Byul.

‘Okay, first I’ll show you the correct stance’ Jaejoong said

Jaejoong moved behind Byul, directing her standing and body position.

‘Since it’s your first time, you should use two hands to hold the gun.’ He said ‘and point it at the target over there.’

Jaejoong earlier had set up a target range at the back of the yard, to use for Byul’s shooting practices. Looking at Byul’s over all stance, Jaejoong could see that her gun was pointed slightly off the target, so he stood behind her and held onto both of her hand, which was holding on to the gun and corrected her.

‘There. To know if your gun is actually pointing where you want to hit it, make sure the top of the gun can be seen in your sight, when closing one eye’ He advised

Byul nod ‘okay.’ She said

Jaejoong let go of her hands and stepped a step back. ‘Now pull the trigger.’ He said

At this point, Byul was feeling nervous again. This was her first time in her whole life holding a gun, never had she ever touched one before believe it or not…this was because none of the other agents allowed her to do so…under Daehyun’s order of course, since he believed that she could get hurt.

Jaejoong could sense Byul’s low confidence and she was slightly hesitating.

‘Never lose Confidence. Once you lose confidence in your shooting, it’s game over.’ Jaejoong stated ‘focus on the target, like an enemy that’s holding your teammate captive. Lose confident...it’s over for your teammate. It’s your teammate or the enemy’

Hearing Jaejoong, Byul tightened her ripe onto the gun and took a deep breath.

‘Shoot it. Shoot it. I have to be able to do something for my friends other then just relying on them to protect me.’ I told myself mentally

In all of Byul’s time as an Agent, always and since now, KSSA had always been looking after her and protecting her, mostly and mainly Daehyun of course. Never once had Daehyun fail to come in time to save her or take blows or shots for her, and those were numerous times. Heck he wouldn’t even let her touch a gun or even let her set foot into the training rooms.

But now, she had the chance to learn. To learn how to possibly protect them back in return.

‘I’ll protect them.’ Byul whispered determined as she pulled the trigger.

BANG

The force of the shot was a new experience for Byul, she fell backwards from the impact but was immediately caught in warm and strong arms. The loud sound of the gun shoot still rang in her ears as she was in a daze.

-Jaejoong Pov-

Byul was forced backwards due to the force of the gun shot, being quick as I was…I caught her in my arms. It was an unfamiliar feeling to have someone in my arms, but it was a warm and welcoming feeling that I liked and enjoyed very much. Byul remained unmoving in my arms, looking down at her, I could see that she was in a daze. It was new to her after all.

‘Hey. Byul, you okay?’ I asked her.

Hearing my voice, caused her to blinked a couple of times bringing her out of her dazed state.

‘D-Did I hit it?’ She asked me

I smiled and nudged my head towards the target ‘Look for yourself.’ I said

Turning her head, she faced the target. Her reaction was immediate, she let out a happy cheer and swung her arms around me…hugging me tightly.

‘IT’S A BULLSEYE!!!!’ Byul shouted happily, jumping and hugging me.

My body froze, it and I was surprised by the hug that it was receiving from her.

‘Jaejoong! I HIT IT! I GOT THE ENEMY!!!’ Byul shouted happily

But my mind wasn’t focusing on her words, it was more on the warmth of her body against mine and the happy smile that was on her face. Was it possible for someone to be beautiful like this? Or the fact that my heart was pounding hard against my chest.

Finally getting back to reality, I smiled down at her ‘congrats’ I said and patted her on the head.

There was then silence that followed after…which confused but also worried me.

‘Yah…why are you so quiet all of a sudden?’ I questioned

As much as I didn’t want to, I had to get out of the hug to see if she was okay. Looking at her, there was a small but heartfelt smile.

‘Thank you’ she suddenly said

‘Sure, it’s not a problem. You’re a natural ‘ I complimented

Byul smiled ‘Ani, not just for teaching me.’ She said, which cause confusion in me ‘but for also having confidence in me. I don’t get that a lot. ‘

‘What do you mean?’ I asked

‘Maybe I’m just thinking too much and just delusional…but I always…felt that…’ Byul trailed off, hesitating to continue for a moment ‘I always felt that, none of my friends had the confidence in me…when it comes to something like this. Something that might cause me to be in danger.’

‘They just worry for you that’s all’ I reasoned

Byul shook her head ‘Worrying and having no confidence are 2 different meaning.’ She said

‘Well…it’s time to show them isn’t it?’ I stated ‘complete this mission with me and show them that they should have more confidence in you.’

Byul smiled with a confident and happy nod. ‘Yeah’ she said

To me, it would be understanding that her friends must of being just too protective of her, but seriously…I think they should at least let her feel more confidence in herself.

‘Because she shouldn’t be underestimated.’ I thought smiling.

‘Jaejoong…I think I broke the gun…’ Byul said snapping Jaejoong out of his thoughts.

‘Huh?’ he questioned as he looked at her

‘nothing is coming out…’ Byul said, pulling the trigger but no bullets shot out

Jaejoong stared blankly at her ‘You think it’s broken?’ he questioned

‘Isn’t it?’ Byul asked confused

‘It needs to be reloaded.’

‘Oh.’

‘…’

‘How do you reload it?’

‘it seems redemption will be tougher then expected.’ Jaejoong thought

-3^rd person Pov-

-Agents-

-1^st day Searching Without Daehyun. & Youngjae-

‘I found another one!’ Jieun reported, managing to have found another security camera, that had caught the car of the kidnapper.

‘Does it show what street the car went?’ Himchan questioned

Jieun nodded ‘the main highway.’ She replied

Sunhwa, noted it down, drawing out the map of the direction.

‘So far so good.’ Hyosung said feeling glad.

Zelo came back into the computer room after checking on Daehyun and Youngjae.

‘How are the two?’ Yongguk asked

‘I think we need to stuff Youngjae Hyung’s mouth with socks. His snoring very loudly and with his mouth wide open too…it’s not appealing.’ Zelo said shaking his head. ‘Daehyun Hyung is sleeping well.’

Yongguk raised a bow ‘are you sure?’ he questioned

Zelo gave Yongguk a questioning look ‘yeah I’m sure Hyung…why?’ he asked

‘Because---‘ ‘ s I’ll kill you!’ Daehyun’s angry voice was heard in the hallway

Everyone other then Yongguk, Jieun and Hana had a ‘WTF’ look and surprised look. At the door of the Computer room, there stood a grumpy Daehyun. But before Daehyun could open his mouth to scold the agents, Yongguk had tackled him down onto the ground, Jieun prayed Daehyun’s mouth open and Hana stuffed in his mouth 5 sleeping pills. The others who were watching this could only gap at the scene before them.

Thud

Daehyun was knocked out again

‘What the F***?’ Himchan stated

‘Clearly you guys don’t know that human’s who are very fit and healthy intend to recover faster from any type of drug dose, that includes sleeping pills.’ Yongguk explained

‘Ah …Daehyun is going to be a B**** when he wakes up…’ Hyosung commented

‘Shouldn’t Youngjae Hyung be awake as well then?’ Jongup questioned

‘Key words FIT and HEALTHY. Yongjae is not in that category’ Yongguk answered

Sunhwa shrugged her shoulders ‘that’s expected.’ She said bluntly.

‘How long will Daehyun Hyung sleep for then?’ Zelo asked

‘Probably another day and a half before he wakes up again’ Jieun answered

‘Does that mean we have to knock him out again?’ Zelo stated

‘Nah, it should be fine. 2 days of sleeping should be enough’ Yongguk said

‘Wonder how long Youngjae Hyung is going to sleep for’ Jongup said wondering

‘Probably 5 days’ Jieun and Hana stated

‘Not like we’ll be needing him away.’ Sunhwa added

‘C’mon guys lets get back to work’ Himchan said ‘Zelo get Daehyun back to his room.’
