-Agents-

It was an early morning and slowly one by one the agents turned up in the room…

‘That’s strange…Byul is one of the earliest one to come in first…’ Hyosung said, when she entered the room to see that everyone was here beside Byul.

Byul is the type of person, weather she had stayed up all night or even sick…she would always come early.

Sunhwa, Zelo, and Daehyun had a very uneasy feeling, they were after all the closest to Byul.

‘You don’t think it’s because of yesterday’s argument right?...’ Jieun questioned

Hearing Jieun’s suggestion, made sense and was logical. It made Daehyun feel guilty because it was him who exploded at her.

‘No…Noona isn’t the type to mix personal matter with work together…something is really not right’ Zelo said

There was another round of uneasy feeling.

‘I’m going to call her’ Sunhwa said, taking out her phone calling Byul

But she was directed to Byul’s voice mail.

‘Her phone’s off’ Sunhwa said confused and now more worried.

‘Himchan Hyung try tracing her phone’s GPS. I’m going to search around the city’ Daehyun said anxiously and ran out to his motorbike.

Himchan typed furiously on his laptop, tracing down Byul’s Phone. No one said a word only watching Himchan typing. When the location of Byul’s phone showed up everyone crowded to look, Himchan quickly called Daehyun, telling him Byul’s location.

‘That is…in a car park…’ Sunhwa said looking at the red dot on the map showing Byul’s location.

-Daehyun-

After receiving Himchan’s call, he was glad because he now knew of Byul’s whereabouts…but at the same time felt very confused and uneasy…

‘Why is she at the car park?’ he thought

He knew that Byul didn’t own any transportation or even have a driver’s license, usually it was him or Sunhwa to drive her to work. But because of their argument yesterday Daehyun had told Sunhwa to drive Byul instead, however Sunhwa had said that Byul wasn’t home…so it could have been possible that she went by bus or taxi. Daehyun got to the car park within seconds because it was just down a block…but when arriving there…there was no one. Daehyun looked around at the area carefully but it was clear of any person in sight…but there was something that caught his eye. He approached to the familiar item on the ground

‘Byul’s Phone’ Daehyun thought, picking up the item and looking at it.

Byul also wasn’t someone who was careless and to leave things behind…so to see that her phone was abandoned on the ground…it was a whole new level of worry and panic for him.

Quickly taking out his phone, he called Youngjae

You found her?!

Youngjae’s voice was filled with hope and tension at the same time

‘She’s not here! I only found her phone! She never forgets or leaves things behind!’ Daehyun said full of worries.

Daehyun calm down.

‘HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?!’ Daehyun shouted frustrated

Even if you’re angry and mad at yourself, it’ll do nothing. So calm down.

Daehyun knew Youngjae was right so he took deep breaths

Okay. Now you search around that area, Jongup, Zelo, Jieun and Hana are also now out, to search as well. The others and I ask around in the department where and when they last seen her.

Daehyun nod ‘O-okay..’ he stuttered

Daehyun. We WILL find her. Knowing that she’s our strategist, whatever situation she’s in, she’ll be able to look out for herself.

Daehyun nod again ‘okay, thanks’ he said and hang up

-Police Department-

‘I’m going back to her place…incase she might be there’ Sunhwa said and left the room

‘What can I do to help?’ Hyosung asked

‘Continue with your work. You too Yongguk’ Himchan said

Hyosung and Yongguk had a disapproving look ‘How can I work when Byul is missing?!’ She said angrily

Yongguk nod agreeing.

‘Hyosung…Yongguk. Everyone is already running around doing all possible things already. Byul is our teammate and she is important but that doesn’t mean we can just neglect the Mission.’ Himchan reasoned

Youngjae nod ‘Himchan is right. We can’t all leave the mission abandoned. And like I’ve said to Daehyun, Byul is our strategist, whatever situation she’s in, she’ll be able to look out for herself. She isn’t in KSSA for nothing’ he said

Hyosung and Yongguk nod silently knowing that Youngjae was right, so they went to do their work. However within minutes Yongguk came running back into the room.

‘Some of my gears are missing!’ Yongguk announced

Himchan and Youngjae looked at each other before a thought got to them.

‘Call everyone back right now!’ Himchan ordered

- Unknown Location –

-Byul-

The chemical was wearing off, allowing Byul to gain her conscious again. She blinked a couple of times to clear her vision, when sight was clear…she found herself in an unfamiliar room…hands tied behind her back and leg chained to the bed feet post. The room was plain almost empty, there was only a bed, and a cupboard…there were two doors, which she assumed that one, was to the bathroom and the other to the hall or living room of the place.

‘Did I get kidnapped by Black Lotus?’ Byul thought

One of the door creaked open, Byul felt nervous and was mentally panicking…but she was taught that in whatever situation she was in to always remain calm and rational.

‘Pretend to sleep!’ Byul mentally told herself

She quickly lay back down and close her eyes pretending to still be unconscious. Sounds of footsteps of someone entering the room were heard, followed by the door closing.

‘I know your awake.’ the person said

The voice was low, which told Byul, it was a male. His voice was motionless and cold but it sounded familiar. Deciding to stop pretending, Byul reopened her eyes and sat up, looking at the person before her

Her eyes widen for a moment of shock ‘Your…’ she said trailing off not knowing what to say

Standing in front of her was the very same person who she had helped in the police department. The male face showed no emotion, his eyes were cold…it felt as if this was an entirely different person from the one back at the police department. Byul narrowed her eyes and stared at the male, it would be a lie to say that he wasn’t good-looking…heck he looked like a model.

‘You work under Black Lotus?’ Byul questioned

The male stared at her for a minute with silence before shaking his head ‘No. I don’t work for or with those scumbags’ he said

That was a relief to hear, but still she was kidnapped so she shouldn’t relax just yet.

‘Well then, that’s your reason for kidnapping me?’ Byul asked

‘ You’re going to help me’ he stated

Byul raised a brow ‘I don’t have any capability that’ll help you. Much less will I co-operate.’ She said

The male smirked, as he came closer to Byul. Byul didn’t back away because it would be a sign that she feared and felt intimidated by him…, which she was. Seeing that Byul didn’t back away made his smirk widen, he sat on the bed in front of Byul and grabbed her jaw making her look up at him.

‘Cheol Ki Byul, KSSA Agent.’ He said

Byul eyes widened, she was shocked that someone knew that she was a KSSA …much less that he even knew KSSA. But she quickly regained her calmness and straight face

‘You’re not making any sense’ Byul said denying what the male had said

The male smirked ‘KSSA consist of 11 members. The leader Jung Daehyun, Weaponry & Gear manager Bang Yongguk, Fighters Moon Jongup & Song Jieun, Sharp Shooters Choi Junhong &  Jung Hana, Computer expert Yoo Youngjae, Telecommunication Kim Himchan, Report Management Jeon Hyosung, Geography expert Han Sunhwa…..’ He said ‘ And then there’s you, KSSA’s Strategist’

Byul was left speechless ‘who hell is he? Why does he know everyone in KSSA?!’ Byul mentally questioned

‘And you’re going to co-operate with me willingly or should I force you?’ He threatened

Byul glared at the male ‘neither. You can’t make me’ she said strongly

‘ I can. I will go great lengths to make you co-operate Byul.’ He said smirking ‘, cutting off your fingers, Make you bleed, hurt those around you, expose KSSA…the list can go on. And I will assure you, this is not a threat. I will do them.’

Byul harden her glare at him, the male in front of her disgusted her and made her blood boil.

‘Don’t glare so hard at me when you don’t even know what you’ll be doing.’ The male said ‘I’m sure what you’re doing for me will benefit for you as well.’

Byul was confused…how would helping her kidnapper be benefistal for her in anyways? But she was curious what the male wants from her, so she stayed quiet to listen.

‘You’re going to strategize a plan for me to kill the leader of Black Lotus’ the male said in his serious tone

Byul completely brown away by the young male…

‘W-What?’ She questioned to make sure she was hearing right.

‘You’ll help me kill the leader of Black Lotus’ He repeated and let go of her jaw

Byul was having a moment to herself to process what the male had told her.

‘So are you going to co-operate?’ he asked

Byul felt that she was going to lose her mind…things were very confusing and complicated in her head. Questions running around ‘how did he know about KSSA’, ‘How the hell did he even know about her whereabouts’, ‘ did he know their mission?’, ‘who the heck is he?!’…

‘Wait. If you wanted to stop the Black Lotus. Why couldn’t you just report it to the police. Much less you knew of KSSA. If you knew something you could of just give us the information and we’ll put an end to it’ Byul said ‘it wasn’t necessary to kidnap me, if we were both stopping the same thing.’

‘I want to end that man’s life with my own hands. Having agents or polices are not needed. But if I want to succeed then, having you to help me, is the only exception.’ He said

Byul stared blankly at him ‘even so…kidnapping…is a little…’ She trailed…

The male rolled his eyes ‘It happened, get over it.’ He said

‘Is this guy for real? How could anyone take that the fact they got kidnapped as if it was nothing?!’ Byul thought eyes twitching.

‘Look if you co-operate and help me succeed. I’ll let you go. No harm done to you or anyone around you. KSSA secret will also be safe.’ He said

Byul narrowed her eyes at him, she knew she can’t just trust him as simple as that. Byul stared and observed the male in front of her…he didn’t held much of any emotions, his eyes are cold and he looked around in his 20s older then Daehyun but younger then Himchan and Yongguk. For some reason however there was a look in his cold eyes that told her to trust him.

‘I’ll co-operate.’ Byul said

The male who was practically tensed the whole time finally relaxed

‘But I have conditions.’ Byul added

‘Name them and I’ll consider them’ He said

‘First. I want to notify my team that I am safe and in no harm’ Byul

The male’s eyes sharpened and narrowed ‘I won’t risk the fact that they might be able to trace you down’ he said

‘I don’t have to talk to them or be seen by them. A simple letter or whatever you want will do. As long as they know that I’m fine, then that’s all’ Byul said

The male nod agreeing to her first term.

‘And my last condition…’ Byul paused to think carefully ‘ You have to turn yourself in. after the mission succeeds.’

The male gave Byul an amused look

‘You know too much of KSSA, we can’t let that be exposed. Second you kidnapped an agent and thirdly the mission you’re wanting to succeed is charge under murder. These are 3 reasons why you must turn yourself in.’ Byul explained ‘ My second condition has to be a certain or I won’t co-operate.’

The male was silent for a minute before without hesitation, he nods agreeing to the condition. Byul was surprised that he agreed but never the less was actually a little glad that some things had worked out on her favor.

‘I have one condition that you’ll have to accomplish however.’ He said

Byul looked at him questioningly ‘what?” she asked

‘I want to have that man dead in three weeks.’ He stated

Byul was no doubt surprised ‘In 3 weeks?’ she questioned

The male nod ‘ I know for sure that your fellow agents will be able to track you down in no time, but surely it’ll have to take them more or less then a few weeks.’ He reasoned

Byul eyes twitched, she was annoyed and a little ticked off, due to the reasons being that the male before her had very high demands in such little time and he expected her to be able to fulfill them on her own.

‘Are you kidding me?! Do you even have any leads or even the slightest clue where they could be?! I’m a strategist! Just a strategist! I don’t do things like the other agents! I can’t make gears, I don’t have high levels in technology like Youngjae, Himchan or Sunhwa. Have you even thought of this through before kidnapping me?!’ Byul stated irritated

The male stared surprised by Byul’s sudden outburst.

‘I am not an idiot to do things irrationally. I know where the Black Lotus are.’ The male said

Byul was surprised and a little impressed that the male had such information.

‘Even if you do know where they are…do you even have any gears to help?!’ Byul asked

The male nod ‘I borrowed some from that other agent’ he said

“YOU STOLE YONGGUK’S GEARS?!” Byul exclaimed

‘I said ‘Borrowed’’ the male said

‘That’s not the problem…the problem is they might think I’m doing something stupid and come after me’ Byul thought worried

‘Now that you’ve agree to co-operate with me. I’ll untie you, but the chain stays on. The walls in this house is sound proof and this location is near isolation, that’s a heads up if you’re planning to scream or want to escape.’ The male said, while untying the bond on Byul’s hands

‘We’re in the middle of nowhere…that’s just great’ Byul thought

‘And My name is Kim Jaejoong.’ The male said ‘No nicknames or formallies just Jaejoong will do.’

-Police Department-

All agents were called back, and it didn’t take long.

‘Have you found her?!’ Jieun asked as she came in the room

But there were no answers

‘Everyone sit down. There is a problem that concerns Byul’ Himchan said

Everyone took their seats.

‘One of the only conclusions that me and Youngjae had thought is…’Himchan paused not knowing how the other agents would react to his news ‘ Byul could be carrying out the plan on her own’

This caused panic in everyone.

‘No! She wouldn’t do something like that.’ Zelo quickly defended

‘No. It’s possible. After yesterday’s argument about confidence in her plan…she could have gone to prove herself  ’ Hyosung said worried

‘And Yongguk had notified us that some of the gears are missing…’ Himchan added.

Daehyun’s body froze, the feelings that he felt was eating him fast. He was the key to have made Byul behave like this…

‘Get everything we need. We’re going to Gwangmyeong. Now.’ Daehyun stated leaving the room

Everyone looked at each other in worry for Byul and Daehyun

‘Aishi…things are getting out of hands’ Youngjae said

-Daehyun-

‘Byul, please don’t do anything stupid. I’m getting you back’ Daehyun whispered to himself.

-Byul-

Byul walked around, following behind Jaejoong as he was showing her around the house. The house was actually very big, it was a two-story house. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are on the second floor, on the ground level there was a large living room, kitchen and a study room.

‘How did you know about KSSA’ Byul asked

‘I have my resources’ Jaejoong answered

‘KSSA doesn’t let things simply slip out or allow anyone to gain access easily…’Byul thought, staring at Jaejoong

‘This will be your room’ Jaejoong said cutting off Byul’s thoughts

‘Yeah…thanks’ Byul said

‘We will start working tomorrow. And you are free to roam around the house, but not outside…not that you can anyways..’ Jaejoong said looking that the chain that was around Byul’s right ankle

Byul stopped her self from rolling her eyes from the obvious.

Growl~ Growl~

Byul looked down at her stomach while Jaejoong looked at her.

‘I’m hungry…’ Byul stated and then looked at Jaejoong ‘I do get fed right?’

Jaejoong stared at her in amusement of her question, but the corner of his lip twitched upwards into a very small but invisible smile.

Jaejoong nod ‘come. I’ll prepare something.’ He said, heading down stairs again.

Byul followed behind him, to the kitchen. She seated herself on the on a kitchen counter, keeping her eyes on Jaejoong as he prepared the food…who knows Jaejoong might just poison her food. Thought her mind was more bothered and occupied with something else.

‘The others would be worried and panicking right now…’ Byul thought looking down at the floor ‘I didn’t even get to apologize yet to Daehyun…’

Her mind was filled of thoughts of Daehyun…and it didn’t make her feel any better.

‘I wonder if his worried that I’m missing…’ she thought sadly

‘Here eat up.’ Jaejoong’s voice brought Byul out of her thoughts

Byul looked down at the very nicely presented food in front of her ‘Thank You.’ She said

Taking a bite at the food, she never tasted anything better. ‘It’s really good.’ Byul complimented

Jaejoong felt proud and glad…Byul was the first ever to have eaten his cooking, aside from himself. But he didn’t show it, he only nod and sat down beside her and ate his food. Inside he felt slightest happy to have company in the big but lonely house, it’s been a long time since there was someone beside him.

Byul on the other hand even though she admitted the food cooked by Jaejoong was very great…she couldn’t enjoy it fully as she usually does. Probably it was because for every meal it was with Daehyun.

-Agents –

None of them wasted anytime, they were currently now in the van heading towards Gwangmyeong. In the van it was nothing but silence, the aura was too tense to break and because none of them knew what to say to make the situation right now brighter. Everyone was still worried, especially Daehyun.

Daehyun had a motionless face on, which covered his feelings of worry, guilt and anxiousness. His mind was trying to think of positive thoughts that controlled his heart, which was pounding almost painfully in his chest, Others knew that Daehyun was worried sick, but they couldn’t see how much it was truly and extremely affecting him, all but Youngjae. Youngjae could see that Daehyun seemed like on the verge of crying but being a man and leader of the team, he has to be collected and strong for everyone.

-Few Hours Later –

They’ve reach to a 2 story house which the government had brought for them to stay.

‘Get everything in and meet in the living room.’ Daehyun ordered

‘Yah, Daehyun. Your not planning on to make us take action now are you?’ Youngjae questioned ‘

Daehyun gave him a blank look ‘what else would I be making you do.’ He said sarcastically.

‘Daehyun, we know that your over the edge concern about Byul…but you can’t just rush things.’ Jieun said ‘it’s in the middle of the night and everyone’s tired’

Daehyun glazed avoided everyone’s eyes, he didn’t want to hear anything that they were saying…because all he wanted right now…was Byul. Byul to be in sight and by his side so he could watch over her…to protect her.

‘Daehyun. Don’t act like this right now. It’s not going to end well’ Himchan said

‘Plus, if Byul was here. She wouldn’t want you to be irrationally do things because it’s going to put you in danger as well as everyone. She wouldn’t want you to get hurt or want us to be idiots.’ Sunhwa said

With hesitation Daehyun nod his head slowly agreeing that they’ll not be working right away.

‘But…first thing tomorrow…we’re going to start’ Daehyun said

Everyone nod.

-Byul-

Byul was in the guest room, laying on the bed but couldn’t sleep. Her thoughts and mind were filled with images of Daehyun.

‘This really …’ Byul thought

The fact that the last time she had talked to him was when he had left mad at her… really bothered her. But the feeling of worry was what most dominated her feelings because she was fearing and worrying about the other agents, they could be mistaken for her to have took on the mission on her own…so therefore they would come after her.

‘Please be safe everyone’ Byul prayed

Her second worry was of Daehyun, he could be feeling guilty right now or couldn’t careless but knowing Daehyun it was mostly that he is blaming himself of her absence.

‘Sorry…Sorry Daehyun.’ Byul whispered.

-Jaejoong-

Jaejoong was still awake in his room, he was now currently thinking of a way to send a message to the agents, which was one of Byul’s condition.

‘Arrg how am I going to do this?’ He thought frustrated

He was one to keep his promises so he knew whether he liked it or not, he as to accomplish this.

‘Calling is a no go that’s for sure, personally giving the letter to the police station is a no as well…’ Jaejoong thought

-10 Minutes Later-

Jaejoong punched his pillow feeling very annoyed and frustrated, at the fact that no ideas yet had came into his mind.

‘Screw it I’ll just go there myself and give it.’ Jaejoong said frustrated, turning off his light and went to sleep.
