From the very beginning, I felt that following Kim Jongin out of the room was a very bad idea. I realized what that nagging feeling is all about.

He is indeed, furious. I can practically see steam coming off his ears. He wasn’t talking either. I’m not really fond of silent treatment.

“So why were you late?” I asked trying to lighten the mood.

However, this seems to only add fuel to the fire, he whirled around to face me.

“Now you ask?” he barked. “Now, you ask why I’m late?”

My forehead creased in confusion, “What?”

“You” he took a step forward me, creating little distance between us. Seriously, doesn’t this guy get the concept of personal space?

“What me?” I retort. “Am I supposed to be your cuckoo clock every morning, too?”

“No.” he scowled. “But you’re supposed to hand me my lunch every morning. And so I was waiting for you outside our house this morning. Do you have any idea how long I’ve waited? “

I trembled; accidentally biting my tongue in fear. It wasn’t every day I get to be yelled at like this, you know, but I stood my ground.

“I don’t see how that’s supposed to be my fault Kim Jongin-ssi” I hissed; going for cold and frightening.

“You don’t, but I do.” He remarked, crossing his arms.

“I don’t even know where you live!”

“I gave you my address last Friday.” He defended.

“So what do you want me –“ I was cut off when Mr. Uy, a third year chemistry professor, got out of the room and gave us both a chilly glare.

“Why, Mr. Kim and Ms. So, I believe students aren’t allowed to wander off the building when class is on-going.” He commented arranging his glasses; his eyes darting between me and Kim Jongin.

“Ms. So, I’m so disappointed. You’re my best student during your junior year. I wasn’t expecting you to play hooky with some guy …” he trailed off but I know exactly where his remark is going.

I bow my head in shame, not being able to defend myself from him.

“I’ll make sure to take action of this event, Ms. So.” He finalized giving me another look of disappointment.

Dusting off erasers and cleaning rooms are the typical detention tasks given to students. However, the teachers decided
