Leeteuk studied Eunhyuk’s face. The latter was being serious. This wasn’t one of his jokes. The leader cleared his throat before responding.

“Hyuk Jae we both know that Donghae wouldn’t keep a secret from you.”He said.

“I thought that too. But I swear he’s got a girlfriend.”Eunhyuk said.

“Why would he hide that from you??”Leeteuk inquired.

“I don’t know. Unless it’s my sister?”Eunhyuk’s eyes widened.

“Donghae wouldn’t do that. He knows how protective you are over your sister.”Leeteuk smiled slightly. Eunhyuk sighed.

“Hyung you don’t believe me do you?”He asked.

“Hyuk, I know that Donghae wouldn’t keep such a secret to you or any other secret. You share everything with each other! Why would he lie to you now?”Leeteuk said.

“Right then I’ll prove to you that that fish is lying!”Eunhyuk said and then took his phone out from his pocket. The leader duck watched as the monkey looked through his phone book. When he found the number he was looking for, he pressed dial.

Eunhyuk immediately put his phone into speaker so Leeteuk would hear.

Chance: “Yoboseyo?”

Eunhyuk: “Chance! Annyeong haseyo!”

Chance: “Eunhyuk-ah! What’s happening?”
Eunhyuk: “Are you busy tonight?”

Chance: “I’m at my appa’s house. Wae?”

Eunhyuk: “I just wondered if you wanted to hang out.”

Chance: “I can’t tonight, mianhe. Is Donghae annoying you again?”

Eunhyuk: “Ne. You know what he’s like…”

When Eunhyuk ended the phone call with Chance, Leeteuk’s mouth was hanging open. He couldn’t believe what he just heard. Not only Donghae lied to Eunhyuk, the fish also lied to the leader duck. Leeteuk looked at Eunhyuk and pouted.
“Donghae wouldn’t lie to me.” Leeteuk mumbled.

“There’s got to be an explanation hyung. I will find out.” Eunhyuk declared.

“Yeah you do that Hyuk.” Leeteuk responded.

Eunhyuk knew exactly what to do. The next day, Donghae has a schedule and Eunhyuk had a day-off. Usually, he’ll be accompanying Donghae at his schedule but since the fish is being distant, the monkey knew better than to cling on to him.

Eunhyuk decided to go shopping. He wanted to buy Donghae something because he thinks that Donghae would open up to him if he was being bribed with stuff. Eunhyuk wore his best disguise as he strolled around the busy streets of Seoul checking out every shop and trying to look for something that his best friend would like. If there was something hard to do for Donghae, it was to get him something as a present. He pretty much has everything. So Eunhyuk sighed in disappointment every time he walked out of a shop empty handed. Meanwhile, Jae-Min was out shopping too. Being in a relationship with a Super Junior member, she felt the need to be dressed in the best clothes so she was strolling in the busy streets of Seoul too; the same busy streets where Eunhyuk was. When a teddy bear shop came into view, Eunhyuk smiled. Donghae had always been a big child. As he walked towards the entrance of the shop, he bumped into a familiar face he knew too well. It was none other than Jae-Min. The latter’s eyes widened when she realized who it was who had bumped into her.

“E-Eunhyuk oppa?” She stammered at the sight of the pretty monkey.

“Jae-Min ah!!!” Eunhyuk cheered and enveloped her into a big bear hug.

“O-Omo…” Jae-Min stuttered. She felt slightly uncomfortable hugging Eunhyuk but she liked it nonetheless. Eunhyuk lowered his sunglasses down and then winked at her. Jae-Min looked around warily.

“Are you okay?” Eunhyuk asked concern in his voice.

“Do you not remember the rules of the show oppa?” Jae-Min gulped.

Sure she and Donghae had been extra careful not to get caught by anyone but being here with Eunhyuk makes her extra worried.

“I remember them clearly,” Eunhyuk grinned and then cleared his throat. “No exchanging of numbers, not allowed to keep in touch after the show blah, blah, blah…” Eunhyuk rolled his eyes. Jae-Min giggled slightly.

“We’re not breaking any damn rules are we? I didn’t bump into you on purpose… Unless you did.” Eunhyuk grinned at her.

“Aniya oppa.” Jae-Min blushed foolishly.

“Of course you wouldn’t, ya do you want to get some coffee?” Eunhyuk asked. Jae-Min thought about it for a couple of minutes. Maybe getting a cup of coffee with Eunhyuk wouldn’t be so bad so she agreed.

“There’s this coffee shop not too far from here. Donghae and I always go there. Ga ja!” Eunhyuk said enthusiastically. Jae-Min bit her lower lip at the mention of Donghae. She thinks that if Eunhyuk finds out about her and Donghae, the monkey would freak out.

“So how have you been since the show?” Eunhyuk started a conversation as they walking towards the coffee shop. He kept his pace up with her.

“I’ve been okay oppa, I miss you all terribly though.” She replied shyly.

“So my Jewels hadn’t tried to kill you?” Eunhyuk laughed.

“Luckily they haven’t.” Jae-Min laughed nervously.

When they arrived at the coffee shop, Jae-Min picked the table which was at the very far corner of the shop while Eunhyuk bought their drinks. While Eunhyuk was paying, Jae-Min decided to quickly text Donghae.

“Bumped into Eunhyuk oppa. I’m having coffee with him now, I’m soooo nervous~” When she pressed sent, Eunhyuk arrived with their drinks.

“There you go~ don’t worry it’s just coffee. No alcohol in it.” He grinned.

Jae-Min blushed instantly. “Ah you still remember that… Otteoke…”

“Like I’m going to forget that!” Eunhyuk chuckled.

“I promised myself after that that I’m never going to drink alcohol ever again.” Jae-Min stated making Eunhyuk laugh out loud.

“What a stupid promise to make, Jae.” He said.

“I have kept it though oppa…” She grinned triumphantly.

While hanging out with Eunhyuk, Jae-Min couldn’t help but think of Donghae even though she was having such a good time with Eunhyuk. She remembered how well they got on during their date on the show and how Eunhyuk took care of her. Her date with Eunhyuk is one of the most memorable dates for her. On the other hand, as Eunhyuk continued to talk to her and make her laugh, he remembered his and hers date too. He remembered her smile, her laugh, her dance moves, her drunkenness and the way she looked that night. Jae-Min was telling him a story when his thoughts floated away. He stared at Jae-Min dreamily and unconsciously grabbed her hand across the table. Jae-Min stopped talking instantly and looked at Eunhyuk with a confused face. She took her hand away like a reflex and Eunhyuk looked upset. He realized that during their date on the show, he had fallen for her. Seeing her today and hanging out with her again made his feelings come rushing back.

“Mi-mianhe…” Eunhyuk gulped. He looked down on the table and blushed.

“Are you okay oppa?” Jae-Min asked, placing both of her hands on her lap.

Eunhyuk didn’t want to tell her about his sudden realization so he decided to tell her about his problem with his best friend.

“I’m just having a hard time right now~” He blurted out.

“If you wanna talk about it, I’m here.” Jae-Min told him truthfully.

“It’s Lee Donghae. He’s pissing me off.” Eunhyuk grumbled.

Jae-Min’s jaw dropped. She had no idea what was coming next.

“Wh-what’s he done to you?” She gulped.

“Keep this a secret okay Jae? I think he has a girlfriend.” Eunhyuk whispered.

Jae-Min’s hands started shaking.

“H-how is Hae having a girlfriend giving you a h-hard time?” Jae-Min stuttered. She didn’t want to, but it was beyond her control.

“Because he’s keeping it a secret from me! We’re best friends. We don’t keep secrets from each other… It’s just upsetting me that he’s hiding something like this from me~” Eunhyuk’s bottom lip quivered.

“So you wouldn’t be angry at him if he confirmed to you that he is dating someone?” Jae-Min inquired putting on a poker face.

“I wouldn’t be angry at him. I’d be over the moon. He’s always wanted to have a girlfriend… He‘s been single for too long,” Eunhyuk trailed off.

“Maybe you should just give him time and then he’ll open up to you.”

“You’re right. I’ll give him time. Thanks Jae~” Eunhyuk smiled his gummy smile at her. Meanwhile, Donghae had just read Jae-Min’s text to him.

He replied quickly, “Stay calm babe~ I’ll call you later!”

That evening at the Super Junior dorm:

Eunhyuk skipped along the living room to the kitchen, down the hallways and up and down the stairs. He decided to give Donghae some time and he hoping that the fish will open up to him when he was ready. With the Donghae problem at the back of his mind, Eunhyuk couldn’t help but day dream about Jae-Min. He knew it wasn’t just a crush. It was something more than a crush. When they parted ways earlier, he made a promise to himself that he will see her again. He didn’t ask for her number or her address or anything. They simply said goodbye to each other and then went off their own ways. Eunhyuk had something else in his mind on how to see her again. Heechul eyed his fellow member carefully as he continued to skip happily around the dorm. The diva picked up his cat and then it.

“Ya is Hyuk Jae high or something?” He asked Shindong.

“He probably ate too many bananas.” Shindong roared with laughter.

“He’s too happy for my liking.” Heechul grimaced.

“It’s unusual. Donghae is not even here and yet Hyukkie is overflowing with happiness.” Yesung commented.

“Ya he’s just skipping. Maybe he’s got in his pants.” Kyuhyun sniggered.

Just then, the front door to the dorm opened and Donghae walked in.

“FISH! MY FISHY HAE IS HERE!! HAE!!!” Eunhyuk shrieked with excitement.

Donghae jumped at the sight of Eunhyuk running towards him.

“Are you okay hyung?” Donghae asked.

“I’m more than okay. Come with me, I need to tell you something~” Eunhyuk said and then started tugging on Donghae’s arms. The pair went to Eunhyuk’s room and then Donghae sat down on the bed. Eunhyuk locked the door and then grinned at Donghae.

“What’s up monkey?” Donghae asked smiling.

“Guess who I bumped into today???” Eunhyuk asked.

“I don’t know Hyuk. Justin Bieber?” Donghae laughed.

“Aniya... Jae-Min! You remember her right?” Eunhyuk said.
“Of course I remember her.” Donghae replied nervously.

“Great! So I saw her and we had coffee and we just talked. It was just nice. I mean- Oh Hae! I really like her~” Eunhyuk said dreamily.

Donghae’s heartbeat accelerated and his eyes bulged.
“But Hyuk! We’re not allowed to--”

“I know that! I will go talk to the producers tomorrow and ask them if I can have her number~” Eunhyuk declared.

“You know they won’t give it to you…” Donghae gulped.

“I’ll make sure they’ll will. We gave them good ratings. That is the last thing they could do for me!” Eunhyuk stated.
Donghae looked at his best friend in alarm. Eunhyuk had his mind set.
