How To Tell If A Fic Is Worth Applying For

One of the biggest concerns when applying for an apply fic is always if the story will actually be written since many authors do end up picking the characters and then deleting the story (maybe they're in it for the karma I wouldn't
be surprised). So there are a few 'tricks' you could say that I've caught onto to tell if an author actually will update regularly or at all.
 

The Trick(s)
See how many fic they have currently going on (you wouldn't believe how many apply fic's some
people have going on at one time).
If the author seems rude and demanding, if the rules are too much and most are just unnecessary.
The author say's 'they're queen/boss/top-dog/etc.'.
The format is just tons of crazy colors and weird fonts or just out of wack.
The author doesn't shut up about themself (sounds weird but I've seen it).
The idea is stolen from someone else (check the comments authors pick up on others stealing their idea quickly.)
The author is under 15 (not ALL young authors are bad but generally the ones that do apply fics are that I have noticied) or atleast watch out for the authors that blatantly state their age.
(If reviews are up) They're too much of a hardass when it comes to reviewing.
They constantly complain about something, typically in the story feed.
They have very few rules or no rules at all or the app has few questions (It makes it feel like they don't really care)
You see the SAME FREAKING AUTHOR all the time.

If You Are Writing: If you are going to start an apply fic you better end it, or atleast write a few chapters, because I hate when people open up tons of fics and delete them 'just because'. Don't just decide to do a fic actually put thought into it and see if you still like the idea later on.

If You Are Applying: Truthfully you should already be accepting of not being chosen the second you click the 'apply' tag, if you really hate that people don't continue their stories don't do apply fics since not many of them end. Stay away from idol group fics for sure.
