Idol Group Power

Strange title = even stranger topic? This could have gone under the 'How To Make A More Realistic Story' but I think this deserves its own little chapter.

A recurring theme I've seen abused a lot is the amount of power the idol groups have over their own image. Freshly debuted groups have no power over their personas, songs, choreography, outfits, shows they appear on, commercials/endorsements, anything. Many times an idol will not like one of those things for various reasons. This is not the Western world where people are all ' it to the man! I don't work for nobody but myself!', this is the Eastern world, it works differently. I understand that your ideals are different, but people need to remember that they are creating a Korean pop group, not a North American or English one. The entertainment industry is different in the sense of the relationship with the artist to its label.

Obviously, I don't know everything, I did not grow up in Korea nor am I an idol in the Korean industry. But I feel these are certain aspects that are obvious, and if you want to deliver a great realistic story, these points will help you succeed.
