Too Long Applications
FG Guide To: Apply Fics
Too Long Applications
Ughhhh asmciosjfioaweaflmefl. My biggest nightmare. I hate super long apps with a burning passion.
There are two different kinds of long apps.
There are two different kinds of long apps.
1. TONS of questions when half of them are totally unneeded and are just hanging out.
2. When it's the normal amount of questions but the author requests like 4 paragraphs for
personality and 3 for background and just tons of unneeded info that someone has to rack
their brain for and turns an awesome application to a y one.

OK I have to admit sometimes it makes sense depending on the plot but very rarely is having a long
app a good idea.
Why?
Even though I hate to admit it, it could possibly be a good idea for someone to have to suffer through a huge application certain plots do require it. The plot that extremely doesn't need it is a Girl/Boy Group fic. Those app's are pretty straight forward. I have had some apps that had tons of questions but it's totally understandable as to why, ex. when it comes to a love they want to know how you meet, how both act around the others, why you like them and their personality.

If You Are Writing: Definitely rethink how many things you put down and ask yourself "Would I Be Able To Do This?" if you really want a lot of info on someone specifically state what you want from them in parenthesis next to the topic don't just state an amount of what you want.
Remember quality over quantity.
If You Are Applying: Try not to seem repetitive, to make personality longer just put key words (ex. Stubborn, Caring, Witty) and make a paragraph off of that, trust me it works. And remember a paragraph is 5 sentences. With background you can put Elementary, Middle and High school, love life, friends, being bullied and why and how they became a trainee.
