The Morning After
ReunionRyeowook was loath to get out of bed now that he could finally wake up next to the one he loved again. No more listening to that y voice over the radio. No more replaying those old Youtube videos over and over just to see his smile. No more heavenly dreams of being held and kissed and caressed only to wake up in a cold bed all alone. Kyuhyun was finally his again and he need not ever wake up alone.
Ryeowook stretched a little and felt around the bed. Nothing. He opened his eyes. Only blankets and pillows. He glanced down at the floor. Only his pajamas remained. Ryeowook was on the verge of a nervous breakdown when he heard the door open and in strolled Kyuhyun with two coffee cups in his hand.
“Oh, good. You’re finally up,” he said, kicking off his shoes and heading over to the bed. “I’m really sick of hotels that don’t put coffee makers in the room anymore. I can barely function without a little caffeine to wake me up. You still drink plain lattes, right?” he asked, trying to hand Ryeowook his cup.
“KYU!” Ryeowook exclaimed, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and kissing him.
Kyuhyun tried his best to wrap his arms around him without spilling coffee and eventually started laughing against Ryeowook’s lips before they finally pulled apart.
“Excited to see me? I’ve only been gone about fifteen minutes.”
“I thought you left again. You took your clothes with,” Ryeowook admitted, grabbing his coffee and sitting back on the bed.
“Well, I guess I could probably get away with walking around without too many objections but then there’d be pictures up within about thirty seconds online. Did you want everyone to see your boyfriend ?”
“No,” Ryeowook said, sipping his coffee. “That’s just for me to see. But you have to understand, you left me yesterday.”
“I left my computer, doesn’t that tell you I’ll be back,” Kyuhyun said, pointing to the table.
“Ah! You left your computer,” Ryeowook repeated, dreamily. “Okay, I believe you now.”
Kyuhyun only shook his head in amusement and sat back down on the bed. “Now that we’re both awake and not currently in the middle of anything that will cloud up our brains, I was hoping we could discuss us for a moment.”
“Okay.”
Kyuhyun took a sip of his coffee and then cleared his throat. “I know that ideally we should probably be taking things slow but I’d really like to have you with me all the time. I’ve missed you since the day I left and I haven’t really been happy since. All I want is for you and me to be together again.”
“You mean, live together?”
Kyuhyun nodded.
“Okay,” Ryeowook agreed, setting down his coffee and scooting over towards Kyuhyun. “But I ought to warn you, I’m not letting you go so easily next time.”
“Understood.”
“And by that, I mean, I may actually chain you to a chair until you come to your senses,” he threatened.
“Quit trying to like that, Wook.”
Ryeowook took Kyuhyun’s coffee and set it down on the table before he pushed Kyuhyun back down on the bed, grabbing his hands and pulling them up over his head. He straddled his boyfriend and gave him a wicked smile.
“You’re going to make us late for breakfast and Leeteuk will be pissed.”
“Do you want me to stop?” Ryeowook asked, bending down to kiss Kyuhyun’s neck.
Kyuhyun exhaled roughly. “Hell no.”
Sungmin looked around the restaurant so frequently, Yesung finally got curious enough to ask about it. “Who are you looking for?”
“Kyuhyun and Ryeowook aren’t here yet.”
“And you’re surprised?”
“Do you think they overslept?”
Yesung laughed and s his hand under the table until he found Sungmin’s hand and
