Hankering Still
Love. Love. Love.
Hankering Still
Silent stars and burning cold,
Another parcel starting to unfold,
As the last epoch nears,
I will embrace you and hold back no tears.
You may hate it or not,
You may not hear me, but;
I’ll remember to love you,
To pray that you’ll treasure it like I do.
Crystal white tears start flowing,
So I thought, “this thing’s ought to be dying”;
Like a child who’s mother’s lost in sight,
Like the water gently freezing in the night.
But then the sun shines so brightly,
In this cold,dark,and drained alley,
Where I used to live and dream,
Where you used to avert and then stream.
Audaciously you come near me,
your hand lightly and softly,
And spoke the words of forever,
Vowing you’ll leave me never.
