We smiled at Dongwoon and Kikwang hugged him.

" Doojoonie ah, you have no idea how much.Kikwang has cried over Dongwoon! " I said as I chuckled.

" Yah.. I love my dongsaeng. " Kikwang defended himself.

Junhyung smirked. Yoseob had been quiet the whole time.

" Yoseobbie, what's wrong? " Doojoon asked.

" I don't wanna lose Dongwoonie.. " he said.

" Aigooo Yang Yoseob! You'll only lose Woonie when he turns into an old grandad! " Junhyung joked.

He brought Yoseob outside,

" Yah. Like what I told Kikwang, Dongwoon needs your support. Don't mention this around him. " Junhyung.advised.

" okay hyung. Mianhe. " Yoseob said. They went back to the room and stared at Woonie.

" Hyungs.. If I want to gain my strength in my feet back, I need surgery. And it costs alot.. KRW$600,892.. " Dongwoon said as he gave Junhyung a piece of paper.

" Are there any risks? " Doojoon asked.

" its a 45% chance of me being paralyzed in my legs now, 55% i will get better. " Dongwoon said.

" Dongwoonie-ah.. Don't take it.. I don't want to risk the chance of you unable to walk. " Kikwang said.

" Yeah, listen to Kikwang. " Yoseob said. Everyone agreed to not have the surgery.

Dongwoon respected their decision. Dongwoon had another 8-9 months till he couldn't walk. What's gonna happen to Dongwoon once his upper body was paralyzed? He would definitely need to have full care at the hospital or at home. Poor boy wouldn't be able to even shower without difficulty once that happens. The boys and I went to Mr Yong's office.

" Mr Yong.. Is it okay if we finish school about 1-2 hour earlier once Dongwoon becomes paralyzed in his upper body? He has no one to look after him. "

" Hm, but if you do, it's your loss in learning at school. " Mr Yong asked.

" Yeah. Its fine with us. We all have individual days planned. Kamsahamnida Mr Yong. " said Doojoon. The next day, Dongwoon was discharged from the hospital with all his medical bills paid. I sent him home and I stayed with him for a while. Dongwoon was in bed and playing a game on his phone. I went to the kitchen to get a drink. Suddenly I heard a scream. It was a terrified scream. I ran to Dongwoon's room,

" Yah Dongwoon-sshi! Mwoya? "

" A bug! " Dongwoon shrieked. He had a HORRIBLE fear of bugs. (-___-)'' was literally my reaction.

I flicked the bug away and went to get my drink. After being in Dongie's house to 5 hours, I headed home.

" Call me if you need anything. " i said as I left his house.

I got home, put down my bag, took a shower, did my homework and had late dinner. It was 9:30p.m. I received a phone call shortly after.

" Yupseyo? " i said as I put the speaker to my ear.

" Hyunseung-hyung, I can't sleep.. " said the other person on the line. It was Kikwang.

" Have you tried counting to 200? Just close your eyes and you'll fall asleep. Anyway you can sleep with Yoseobbie if you really can't get to sleep. " i said.

" Ne, yeah I've tried.. I can't stop thinking about Dongwoonie.. " said Kikwang as I heard his voice shake. 

" Yah, don't worry about him. He's still gonna be alive, just paralyzed. And may have to go for alot more surgeries. Its okay.. " i said.

" Okay hyung.. I'll try and get to bed now.. " Kikwang said.

Meanwhile over at Yoseob's house, Kikwang went in Yoseob's room.

" Yoseob-hyung.. Can i sleep with you tonight? " Kikwang asked.

" Um yeah sure, " yoseob replied.

Kikwang joined Yoseob in bed. Kikwang started sobbing.

" Yah, whats wrong? " Yoseob asked.

" Dongwoonie-sshi.. I don't wanna lose him. "

 Ki said as he cried even more.

" Aigo-yah, don't cry please.. I love Woonie too.. " Yoseob said as he patted Kikwang's back. Kikwang wiped his tears away and sniffled.

" Go sleep okay? " Yoseob said as he pulled the covers up. Meanwhile at Junhyungs house..

" Losing a friend. It isn't easy. Knowing what his future will be like. Knowing he'll be suffering and having hardships. That's when friends come in. Dongwoon will soon be paralyzed. Not being able to work, all his smartness going to waste. Watching a friend suffer was harder than seeing him dead. Suffering, a harsh word. " Junhyung wrote in his diary as he said it out loud.

Teardrops came out of his eyes and fell on his diary.

" Dongwoon ah. Saranghae. " he wrote at the bottom of the page.

The next day in school, Doojoon met Dongwoon and they went to class.

" How are you doing today? " Doo asked DongWoon.

" Ne! I'm fine! " he replied. They exchanged smiles and sat down.

" Everyone, please welcome Dongwoon back to school! " The teacher said as he walked into class. Everyone stared at Dongwoon. Why? He wasn't bald, he was still Dongwoon. Lessons went on as usual. Life was like this until 15th July. Dongwoon was in hospital for his checkup; with Junhyung, Doojoon, Yoseob and I. Kikwang was sick and so he was at home.

" Hello, I'm Doctor Lee and I'll be Dongwoon's doctor. We'll have some x-rays done and some blood tests done too. " said a voice coming from behind us. Junhyung nodded. Dr Lee came back from the x-ray room.

" Uh, Son Dongwoon's friends follow me. " he said. We followed him in his room.

" Judging from the x-ray, Dongwoon has a tumor in his lung. A small, not growing one. We can have surgery done to remove it. " Dr Lee said as he showed us the x-ray.

" How much is it? " Yoseob asked.

" KRW$200,000 " Dr Lee replied.

" We'll have it removed. " Junhyung said, as he signed the papers. There was no risk taken away. The surgery was the next day. " Dongwoon ah.

You have a tumor in your lung but you're gonna have it removed tomorrow. Don't worry, it's not major, " I said as I ran my fingers through his hair.

Dongwoon nodded. He was sleepy, I could tell. We were skipping school tomorrow to take care of Dongwoon. The next day, I was told Kikwang wasn't in school. Could he be at the hospital with Dongwoon? I went to the hospital and saw Yoseob and Junhyung. I then got a call from Kikwang.

" Hyunseung-hyung, where are you? " he asked.

" In hospital. " i replied.

" Huh? Are you here to see me? " Ki asked.

" Wait what?! You're in hospital? When? Why? I'm here to see Woonie! " i said, surprised.

" What? Dongwoonie is back in hospital? " Ki asked.

" Yeah. What room are you in? I'll come with hyung and dongsaengie. " i said.

" Room 216 " he said.

" Yah, Kikwang is in hospital! " i told Junhyung and Yoseob. They followed me to Room 216.

" Yah what happened to you? " Junhyung beamed at him.

" Ah, aniya, just a small accident. I realised it was Woon's checkup and i rushed to the hospital. While i was running, a car hit me and I out. Ah its nothing, just a shoulder sprain. " explained Kikwang.

" Aigooo! You really scared us! I thought you were sick and you fainted or something."  Yoseob said as he knocked Kikwang's head.

" Dongwoon has a tumor in his lung and is having it removed today. " I told Ki. Ki started crying.

" Is there an..any.. Ris..risks? " he asked. I shook my head and wiped Ki's tears. It kept streaming down, I felt like I was draining a river. I hugged Kikwang and told him,

" Dongwoon is gonna be fine. Let's go see him now! " i said as I dragged Ki out of the room and into Dongwoon's room.

" Ah!! Kikwang! " Dongwoon exclaimed.

" Ha ha ha! You have a friend in hospital too! " Kikwang joked.

" Oh really? Who? " Dongwoon asked.

" me! But i'm either going home today or tomorrow. " Kikwang said.

" Eh? Why are you warded? " Dongwoon asked.

" Long story but I'm fine. Just sprained my shoulder. " Ki said. Dongwoon nodded his head and was pushed into the operating theatre.

 Dongwoon was wheeled out of the operating theatre about 4 hours later. 

" How is he, doctor? " Doojoon asked. 

" So far he is responding well. The tumor was the size of a ping pong ball. It was removed successfully. Dongwoon will be warded for another day. Let him have proper rest. " Dr Lee said. 

Doojoon bowed and thanked him.

" Yah. Dongwoon is fine, he'll be in for another day. Let him get proper rest. The tumor was the size of a ping pong ball. " Doojoon told the others.

We were happy to hear he was responding well. I mean, who wouldn't be? Skipping a few days of school wasn't that bad. We all went home while we let Ki and Dongwoon rest at the hospital. The next day, Doojoon fetched Dongwoon and Yoseob fetched Kikwang from the hospital and brough them home. Ki was a sleepyhead. He would sleep anytime he could. Life was going upside down. Dongwoon came back to school next week. It was already July, coming August. Dongwoon had about 3 months. But actually, Dongwoon was doing much better. Many doctors were working on a cure for ALS. Dongwoon was improving, but he fainted during Math class and was brought to the schools nurse. Dongwoon was having a wonderful time sleeping in the sick bay while we were in class being tortured with Math.

" Yah, where's woonie? " I asked. 

" Oh, he fainted. Again. He's asleep in the sick bay. " Doojoon told me. 

" Aish.. " I exclaimed. After school we woke Dongwoon up and brought him home.
