Cravings
Expecting
I stared up blankly at the ceiling as I contemplated on what to do. I had an insane craving for some steamed broccoli right now but I also had a husband that was holding me in his arms like his life depended on it. Kris isn't going to let go of me anytime soon and there's no way I can leave without him letting me go. I could try elbowing him in his stomach like last time and go downstairs to eat but then Kris would be angry if he woke up without me. But I don't want to bother him either, he needs to wake up early to go to work so he should get all the rest he needs. I quietly groaned and squirmed in his arms, stupid Kris and his stupid overprotective personality. I tried to lift his arms atop of my waist but it seemed like the more I moved the more he pulled me against him, tightening his already tough hold. He seriously needs to stop using me as his teddy bear sometimes. It gets really difficult to get up.
“Stay still sweetie,” Kris groaned and bury his face into my hair, hugging me even closer if possible.
Well then, I guess I do have to wake him up now. “Oppa.” My words came out muffled against his chest. “Krissy oppa.” I repeated and looked up at him, lightly poking his chest.
“Yeah?” He mumbled.
“Let go, I want to get up.” I told, patting his arm for him to know that I wanted him to release his grip. Kris only slightly loosen his grip. His hold was still tight enough where I could barely even move. “Why?” He asked, the sleep still evident in his voice.
“I'm hungry for some broccoli.” I said. The longer I was laying here in Kris' arms the worst my hunger got.
“Sweetie, you hate broccoli.” He pointed out, finally opening his eyes to look down at me.
“But I really want some.” I countered and squirmed around in his arms.
Kris finally released me and sat up in bed. He ruffled his hair and pulled the covers off himself, “Okay, I'll go downstairs to get you some.”
“No, you stay here oppa.” I grabbed onto him to hold him in place. “I just wanted to tell you so you won't get worried when you wake up.”
He tiredly shook his head, “I'll go with you.”
“Kri-”
“Come on sweetie.” He lifted me up into his arms to stop my protesting and carried me out of our bedroom and all the way down into the kitchen.
Once in there, he placed me on top of one of the counters and went to the fridge. “How do you want your broccoli?” He asked as he rummage through the fridge in search of my desired food.
“Steamed.” I answered as I kicked my feet around from the counter top.
“You really are pregnant.” He muttered with a light chuckled. He probably found it amusing that I was hungry for one of the foods that I hated the most, broccoli. And I especially hated it steamed. It just emitted a horrid smell when it was prepared that way but yet I wanted to eat it more than anything else right now. I watched as Kris maneuvered around the kitchen to prepare the broccoli for me, looking as tired as ever yet not wanting to leave me alone. Placing a pot over the stove to let the water boil, Kris walked back over to where I was and wrapped his arms tightly around my waist, burying his face into the crook of neck.
I ran my hands through his hair then gently massage his scalp, “Oppa, aren't you tired?”
“I'll stay until you're done.” He replied and pressed a soft kiss on the side of my neck.
“Why don't you go sleep on the couch then Kris.” I suggested while continuing with my actions. “I'll just be in here so you don't need to worry.” He opened his mouth to argue with me but I quickly kissed him to shut him up. “Go Kris. I'm only a room away, nothing's going to happen.”
Kris looked like he was hav
