I blankly stared straight ahead of me, wide awake in the middle of night. I rubbed the side of my stomach soothingly, trying to find some way to ease my cramps. I quietly groaned at the aching feeling and felt the arm that was wrapped around my waist tightening. Kris had one arm underneath my head and wounding around to hug my shoulders while the other was atop of my waist. He had his cheek resting comfortably on my head, sleeping peacefully, or so I though.

“Why are you awake?” Kris sleepily asked and snuggled closer to me, if even possible. I mentally sighed. Why can't this overprotective husband of mine go to sleep without worrying about me so much for once. I deeply sighed, “I can't sleep.”

Kris slowly rubbed my stomach and lifted his head to get a better look at me, “Why? Does your stomach hurt?”

“Oppa, go back to sleep.” I said and reached up to comb my fingers through his hair. “I'll be fine.”

He nuzzled his cheeks against mine, “I won't sleep unless you do.”

“I'm not tired.”

“Neither am I.”

I rolled my eyes and turned myself to face him, “You are tired, you're just too worried about me to sleep.” I placed a hand on the nape of his neck and gently ran my nails up and down, a technique I knew always relaxed him, “So sleep oppa, you have work today.”

“I'll stay up with you until you fall asleep.” He firmly objected. Kris lightly nudge my arm, “Don't do that, you know it relaxes me. I'll fall asleep in no time.”

“That's the point bird face.” I retorted and continued with my actions despite his protest. “Just go to sleep Krissy.”

“Bu-”

“I'll be fine. If anything happens, I'll wake you up okay?” I quickly interrupted him and told.
