Hyejae couldn’t sleep anymore..

She lay awake after her first sleep, her eyes large and round and her hair finally smelling like rose rather than salt.

She shifted her position to the left, facing the window and tried to close her eyes but knew she was in vain. Even if she did want sleep to come, she was scared about what was going to happen within her sleep.

She sighed, getting up.

She walked over to her Panasonic stereo that was as long as half her arm length and took out her CD collection.

She riffled through the front which was Korean CD’s. She ruffled through the middle which were Chinese/Taiwanese CD’s and then finally, she ruffled through the back which were Western/American music.

Her hand stopped at Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway”.

Without thinking about it, she took it out of the case, closed the case with a snap, opened the stereo and then put in the CD.

She took the small remote control and went back to her bed.

She didn’t bother opening the light. Light was already beginning to seep through her window and curtains, finding every crevice possible to fill the room with hope, happiness and love.

But, Hyejae didn’t need those things.

She pressed the number 4 button and “Because of You” began to play.

She closed her eyes gently and put her head back against the bedding.

She let the music soak through her bone, her heart, her eyes, her tears.

Before the chorus even began, Hyejae was already crying. Again.

Crying because she felt that the song lyrics were so similar to her life.

Crying because she felt that the voice in the song was speaking to her.

She related to the whole song and it was her favourite.

“Because of you…everything’s changed.”

A/N: I don't usually finish my fanfic in less than a second because I wait for some comments and all but I'm a bit busy so right now, I'm going to finish all my fanfics in one go and get them over and done with. Thank you all for reading this even though I kind of posted like 3 chapters in less than 2 minutes xD hope it was good ^^
