Kai felt a rush of air as he began to materialize with his two other members. However, with the extra people, he wasn’t able to calculate correctly where is target destination was. Kai quickly surveyed his surrounding as he tightened his grip around the unconscious D.O.
They were in the sky, falling. Kai was off by the height, he could see clearly below that they were in the area they needed to be, but at this rate, they would die from the plunge.
Kai did only what he could do in this situation. He transported again with his two friends, hopefully this time closer to the ground.
When the smoke dispersed, Kai continued to feel the rush off air before his back came in contact with the cold ground. His breath left him and whatever grip he had left on his friends was gone. He tried to look around but he couldn’t move. He heard a humming noise. It was Lay, he was moving.
Lay looked up and saw Kai lying painfully on his back. “Kai!” He shouted rushing towards his injured friend currently ignoring his own injures.
Kai tried to let out a breath, only to have it come out painfully slow, as the inhale was just as bad.
“Help… D.O.” was all he could manage to say before blacking out him.
Lay quickly scanned over Kai. His injures weren’t bad, he could wait. Lay scanned the area around them in search of D.O.’s body.
‘Where could he have gone?’ Lay scanned in a panic. He looked to his left and saw a twisted body that began to convulse from shock of the pain. There was no time left. D.O. would die if Lay could not save him now.
Lay rushed to his friend, limping along the way, falling in front of the body. Lay pulled the body, so he could see D.O.’s face.
He examined his body. Lay knew it would take all his ability to save him, and he may have to put himself at risk.
Lay placed his hands on D.O.’s chest. He had to calm the body. He sent shocks through the body that worked as novocaine. D.O.’s body was no longer twitching from the pain, but Lay was fully aware that didn’t stop anything. He quickly checked his heart, which was unwounded but was beating rapidly fast.
Lay then moved his hands to D.O. chest surveying the lungs. One had been punched by a broken rib. Lay frowned. He didn’t have to tools to remove it. He quickly checked the other lung. It was alright. Lay knew he could live with one lung if need be. He began to focus on the next matter, D.O.’s head.
Lay placed his hands on his head. D.O. had a severe concussion, which most likely caused D.O. to black out in the first place. Lay began to work. His hands began to glow, taking all the pain from D.O. and transferring it to himself. Lay stopped a moment and took a deep breath. His head was pounding and he felt a little dizzy for a moment. He waited till the pain disappeared before continuing.
The concussion was finally healed, Lay was panting, D.O. was still out cold.
Lay ripped off D.O.’s shirt to get a better view of his chest. He placed his hands over his rib cage, and began to fix his ribs, minus the one that was lodged into his lung.
Lay couldn’t help but grunt as the pain began to take over him. He stopped to clutch his chest breathing heavily.
Lay waited till his own ribs where healed before continuing down the rest of D.O.’s body until everything was healed, excepted for his lung and lone rib, which Lay knew he couldn’t fix without the proper tools, unless he wanted to drown D.O.’s lung with blood.
“Wake up!” Lay tried to shake his friend awake with the little energy he had left. D.O. grunted. Lay smiled, that was good enough for the time being. Lay staggered up as he made his way to the unconscious Kai.
He kneeled in front of the body. Kai was fine. His body was just stunned from the fall. Lay quickly healed him. Not long after, Kai’s eyes open as he slowly began to sit up. Kai looked at Lay remembering the situation, looking around frantically for their other friend.
“He’s fine.” Lay said, he was much calmer and his original personality began to come through.
Kai nodded his head standing up. Lay lead him to D.O. who was still sleeping. “He’s stable.” Lay confirmed.
Still tired, Kai and Lay both grabbed an arm of their friend as they made their way to the near by area they knew their friends would be at.
They walked slowly, as both persons were tired from overexerting their powers. When they made it to the camp, D.O. was quickly relieved from their hands by Chanyeol. “You guys ok?” Chanyeol asked in his unusual deep voice.
Lay and Kai both nodded slowly, as Suho and Baekhyun supported them.
“Are you alright Kai?” Suho asked. Everyone knew Kai was the one that was going to transport them all if need be. If he was too tired to do it, who knows what would happen.
“I’m fine,” he confirmed. “Just tired.” Suho nodded as he placed his friend down in an area where he could rest.
“Lay!” Suho directed to the other weakened member. “When can you help with the injured again?” Suho was very serious. They were in a grave situation and his relaxed personality was no longer showing.
“Give my 10 minutes.” Lay stated laying back and closing his eyes for a few minutes, regaining as much of his power as he could before he had to go back to work.
“Kai!” Suho addressed him again. “Did you find anyone else?” Suho sounded grave and concerned.
“W-w-why?” Kai got out shakily.
“Luhan, Kris, and Xuimin didn’t come here. I assume they are fine together, but Chen and Tao, never showed up.” Suho looked Kai in the eye.
“N-no, I haven’t seen them.” Kai frowned. Suho patted his shoulder.
“I’m sure Tao is messing with time as we speak, I’m sure we’ll see him soon with the others. I just hope they found Chen.” Suho got up, leaving Kai with the others resting.
Kai couldn’t help but wonder, ‘Where could Chen be?’
