"YA YA YA! Chelly, Mantha, you didn't do anything wrong yesterday, right? You better say no, because Jinyoung director just called us to his office! I'm surely gonna kill you if he end up punishing every one of us here" Hany said while bitting her lower lip

"Aniyo! Aniyo! Maybe Chelly Unnie did something bad, but I was such a good girl lately" Mantha giggled, "HAHA! Unnie, you're in trouble again?" she teased

"You're really a dead meat soon, Mantha!" Chelly said as she entangled Mantha with her arms, "You better treat me well, dongsaeng" Chelly said giggling

"Araso, araso! Let go of me!" 

"GUYS! Don't be noisy, 2AM sunbae-nims' practice room is just across the room, they might hear us, we're being too noisy" the Leader, Jimy said, "Anyway, it's almost time for us to meet the director now. Let's go!"

 

The five members followed Jimy as they walked torwards the CEO room, they were nervous, afraid that they did something wrong and has to postpone their debut performance as a punishment. "Ya, Mantha, Chelly! You both are really dead meats if we get a punishment because of you two" YooMi warned

"Just trust me! I promised I wouldn't ruin anything" Mantha said

"Give me a moment to think whether I should trust a kid's promise or not" YooMi laughed

"I agree!" Jade added

 

Jimy knocked the CEO's room door slowly, "President, we're here.." 

"Come in, girls!" he called

"Anyeonghaseyo..." the girls greeted, "What are you planning to say to us, President?" Jimy asked

"Oh, right! Come and sit, I've got something to ask you.." he said as he took some documents from his drawer

 

The girls took a seat around the meeting table, they were playing with their nails; nervous and confused.

"What is he going to ask?" Hany whispered to YooMi

"I don't know.. I think it's going to be about our debut performance for Music Bank" YooMi whispered back

"What's wrong with that? We practiced enough for our title track.." Hany whispered 

"Just shut up for now. Seriously!" 

"Araso, araso!"

 

Finally, our JYP CEO, Jin Young Park, came with a pile of documents in his hands

"So, girls! Are you nervous sitting here in my meeting room?" he asked

The girls lowered down their heads, no one dared to look at the documents in front of them, only Chelly kept her head raised, "Of course, President! So let's get going with our business" she said casually, making the other members feel a bit unprofessional

"Nice, Michelle! I like your spirit!" he praised, "So, Oh Hani composed the fourth track in your album, am I right?" 

Hani raised her head and nodded..

"You're gifted.." he praised again

"Why?"

"You guys know that we released your album tracklist yesterday night, don't you? Since we also revealed the lyric for your fourth track, fans are wondering whether you guys would perform it on your debut stage on Music Bank this Friday" he said, "So, do you want to make them happy by performing this song as well?"

"But.. We only have around three days left to prepare" Mantha spoke up

"There isn't any choreography for this song, right?" he asked

"Choreography? Yes, there isn't" Jade replied, "But it would be better if you give us time to prepare.." she added

"I can see you're gonna do well with this song. Although there's no dance moves, I still want all of you to participate in this song performance. Okay, let's make this easier.." he said, "Who do you think would be a big help to you guys.. I mean, someone from who might help with this mission. Let's call this a mission for you guys" 

We exchange glances with each other, the only one we can think of is, BoA sunbaenim. Helping us with vocals, "BoA sunbae-nim, President" Chelly said

He smiled, "I knew you'd choose her! I'm going to call Lee Soo Man-ssi and tell him about this soon"

The girls giggled and thanked him, "Is there any feedbacks from you, President?" Jimy asked

"Aniyo, everything's great! Just can't wait to see you guys on stage" he said

"So, is this all you've got to ask?" Chelly asked bluntly, "What's with all those documents?"

"Oh, yes, this is all! These documents? Here are just some profiles of our trainees.." he laughed "Anyway, do you like your new dormitory? Don't worry about taking your family to look around"

"I love it!" Mantha spoke up, "We're really really grateful!"

"Okay, that's good to hear then. So, we're done with our discussion today! Good luck, and practice hard, okay? Remember that starting from tomorrow until Friday, you're going to practice with SMTown!" he said as he stood up and left the room

"Kamsahamnida, President" the girls said in unison.

 

@ Practice Room (JYP Entertainment)

"Here! Pass this around" Jimy said as she handed over the copies of lyric sheets for the song, "Chance".

"Hani-unnie, how could you compose this song? This sounds so professional" YooMi asked bluntly

"What do you mean? That's just how it comes out. You'll improve your writing skills over time, it needs practice" Hani explained, "You're interested in writing lyrics?"

"Not exactly.." she mumbled

 

"So! Here is the lyrics with our parts. The beginning would be me and YooMi singing, the chorus, the rapping part, and then Mantha and Jade singing, then chorus, and my part again and YooMi's and closes with chorus and a whisper by YooMi. Clear enough?" Jimy asked

(Jimy): Maybe things that I often say make no sense

(YooMi): Maybe the world is too little for me to explore

"Unnie, so the last part of the chorus, just before the rapping part, I need to sing in a long note, right? As well as the second chorus where I sing.. and believe again?" asked YooMi

Jimy tried to sing it to know whether she's right, "Ohh, yes, yes.. You're right! Show your vocal abilities. And Mantha, the part where you sing with YooMi, you're supposed to appear as a whisper, so don't sing with too much strength, because it's going to overtake her voice" Jimy suggested

Mantha nodded and tried to sing it in front of the leader, "It's you~" she sang softly, "Is it right?"

"Ne~ It's right. Okay, kids! Let's just seperate into groups then. Singers and dancers would follow me, and two rappers would practice seperately, and after that, we'd assemble here again to practice the chorus part together. Got it?" Jimy said

"Araso, Unnie" Chelly said as she stood up from her seat

 

 

- The Rapper Team -

"Ya, Unnie! Why did you only write a little part for us, so unfair! I want to rap more!" Chelly complained

Hani stared at her and gulped, "Hey little brat! You didn't complain about it when we did our recording for this song. Stop being silly!" 

"Aish! But our fans would be so disappointed to see us having only about three seconds part" Chelly said

"What can we do about it then? Just try out best and lets hope they're gonna be happy" Hani said

"WOOO~ So wise" 

"Quiet! Let's start.." Hani said as she cleansed , "EERM! You start first" she giggled

"Fine.. The day passes to fast! and the night lasts too long! Trying to make me realise! That the world is just.. a bad dream" Chelly rapped 

Hani laughed, "It isn't even three seconds I think" 

"I know. Anything wrong with my part, dear Composer?"

"Aniyo, aniyo!" Hani tried to hide her laughter, "Its just, don't forget to stress the word trying.." 

"Araso!"

When it is Hani's turn to rap, there was no problem since she knew how it should sound. 

 

- CHORUS Practice -

The girls began practicing their song with an instrumental version of their song, and tried to record it in the studio to make sure that everything sounds alright. 

It took around 25 minuts for everyone to sing it smoothly, they didn't memorize the song since it isn't the title track and no one thought that the director would ask us to perform it on stage. 

Nichkhun of 2PM came to our practice studio and observed us as we tried to practice our vocals, "How was it, Oppa?" Jade asked 

"It's great! You guys have done a great job!" Nichkhun praised, "Chelly-ah! Nice rapping, yeah!" 

Chelly gave him a thumb up, "Thanks, bro!"

Nichkhun laughed and gave her a thumb up, "See you on stage, guys!"

"Anyeonghigaseyo.." Mantha bowed

 

After three hours of intense vocal training, we layed on the floor and drank water to quench our thirst, "Is this enough, Unnie?" asked Mantha 

"Of course, we could continue practicing tomorrow" Hani said

"That's right. At least we've already memorized the lyrics" YooMi said

Jade came to Jimy and back-hugged her, "Can we go now?"

"Aish! So ticklish! Okay, let's go!" Jimy said excitedly

 

"BUY PIZZA! PIZZA!" Chely said excitedly as she went out of the practice room
