Rant 3: Summaries and Character summaries.
Rants of an AFF Girl
I always go fanfic hunting, and some catch my eyes for a few reasons. One of them is THE SUMMARY.
Some summaries are just LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, then you read it and realize that you''ve just been trolled.
Some summaries are just horrible, but the fanfic itself is incredible.
And other summaries just GIVE AWAY the whole story. Like, thanks dude.
Ex: Hyorin is a pretty, cute, athletic, and smart girl who attends Woolim High. She meets (how much guys are in infinite?) 7 kingkas. (names), and L is a bastard. Blabla. They then fall in love. They go on a couple of dates. They get married. They have kids. THE END. Okay, that's not how it is, but sometimes. that's what I feel like I'm reading. I could even read a summary, and feel like I just read the whole fic.
Character summaries are one of my biggest pet peeves EVAR.

KIM, SARANG. (WTF kinda name is Sarang)
Pretty, cute, bubbly, adorable, loves to read, innocent.
(insert pic of some male idol)
L.JOE, A.K.A Lee Byunghun
Cold, arrogant, strong, only is nice to friends and to people he is close with. (which is usually nobody, BUT YOU)
I mean guys, when we read, we're suppose to learn about how the character is like. You can't just describe it to us. YOU JUST RUINED THE PICTURE I HAD IN MY MIND. *sigh*. I understand if you just include like a mini backstory, but that's the only stuff I want to see in a chara summary. But really, we shouldn't have one cause we"ll read it in the fic anyways. I know these are just FANFICS, not a serious novel, but WHHHYYYYY?!? An author creates an image in the mind, and talk while you listen. They are not suppose to just give it to you or draw it out.
AND I ABSOLUTELY HATE HATE HATE when the author puts:
"Likes L.Joe"
'" Likes Sarang."
Like okay. We didn't really need to know that. WE COULDA JUST READ IT. BUT THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW.
And then they put.
" Heechul likes Yuri."
" Yuri likes Heechul."
" Mimi likes Tom."
" Tom likes Mimi.
But why can't we have:
" Barbie likes Ken."
" BUT KEN DOES NOT LIKE BARBIE. HE LIKES CLOE FROM BRATZ."
But you know, everyone has to like someone, who likes them back.
