Chapter 2
Babysitter Naekkoya!(Zelo)
I heard my dad arrive home and turned up the rap song I was listening to. Hopefully, he’d take the hint and leave me alone. My door swung open. Hint not
taken. -_-
“I’m leaving for my trip, the sitter will be here at 8.”
I ignored him but he just raised his voice and repeated what he said. I reached over to turn up the stereo when my dad stormed into the room and flicked it
off. I glared at him.
“Wazz off, I was listening to that.”
“I don’t know how much longer I can deal with your insolence, JoonHong.”
I laughed. “Me either!”
My dad facepalmed. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“You’re only going to be gone for the night?” I asked, disappointed. Whoops. My dad actually looked a little pained that I wanted him to be gone for longer but the hurt quickly disappeared from his face to be replaced by his professional mask.
“Sorry to disappoint you,” he said sarcastically.
I just shrugged and flipped the stereo back on. “Deuces, pop.”
I didn’t get my dad. I hated him and he hated me even though to my knowledge he had no reason to dislike me. I was the one who had every right to hate
him. My mother died because he neglected her and he had been glad to see her go. Where did he get off acting like I was the one who had practically
killed someone?
(HyunA)
I pulled on a black graphic tee and black skinny jeans. Mr. Choi had informed he wouldn’t be at his home when I arrived and that his son would need
dinner.I still didn’t know this kid’s name or anything about his personality. It was like Mr. Choi didn’t even care. Ah well, I would find out tonight. I was just
grabbing my keys when there was a knock on my door. I opened it to reveal SoHyun.
“Are you excited???” she squealed, her bubbly personality spilling over.
I laughed. “I’ll be excited when I get my check.”
“Oh, come on, this guy must live in a mansion and all you care about is getting paid? And what about his son? Aren’t you excited to find out what’s he’s like?”
SoHyun found pleasure in everything in life. I was sure she would live to a ripe old age and become one of those sweet old ladies that baked tasty things for kids.
“Calm down, girl! I gotta go, I’ll tell you everything tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow? Why not tonight?”
“I have to sleep over.
formed a perfect ‘o’.
“You’re sleeping in a mansion?!”
“Don’t make me late, SoHyun!”
We stepped out of my dorm room and I locked my door.
“See you tomorrow!” SoHyun chimed.
I waved and walked off to catch a cab which Mr. Choi had provided money for.
When I finally pulled up to the address my mouth dropped to the floor.
I looked to the taxi driver and his mouth was hanging open too.
“Here’s your money, sir.”
He blinked twice then took the money and started to make change.
“Oh, no! Keep it!” It’s not my money anyway. I exited the cab and identified myself at the intercom. I slowly walked past the brilliantly lit fountain, taking in the
grounds I couldn’t see from outside the gate. When I got the front door my mouth was still open. I knocked loudly with the doorknocker since I didn’t see a
doorbell. I knocked for a couple more minutes. Mr. Choi had said his son would greet me but no one was coming to the door. Shouldn’t he have a butler or
something with a house this size? I took out the cell phone he had given me and called his son’s phone.
