Hi fellow asianfanfic readers/writers. You would have probably read or heard this story before since I initally first posted this on soshified. It is still an ongoing story with few chapters available already in soshified. I thought I would also contribute this story here cause I think not everyone is a soshified member and it would be better to hear comments from other people as well. Constructive criticisms are always welcome since I am still a newbie writer ^^
Keep in tune ;)
A/N (21st June): Any reader would probably notice that I haven't been updating this for extremely long time. I apologise for that and really I shouldn't be making any excuses, but the writer's block hits and I couldn't really recover from it. What I can say is that maybe one day when I have fresh ideas, I will continue, but for now I am going to take an indefinite hiatus. I might return with new stories but I'm still not to sure about this one :/ And those wondering why didn't I just make an update for this note, well, I know how people get excited knowing that one of the fics that they waited for updates, and I don't want to cause any disappointment to anyone if possible (although I doubt people still wait for update for this fic lol).
Foreword
“Tiffany, in order to be the next head of the department, there are a few things that you need to take note. Remember what I told you before, about the balance in this world. Well, love and hate did not only provide that balance, but it also provided drive, encouragement that move people. And this book contains that important information. As an example, let me show you something,”
At that time, the young and innocent Tiffany just tagged along, curious of what her superior was trying to show her. Her superior flipped the pages of the large book. In one glimpse, one could get the impression that the book was old, probably hundreds years old, and really thick. It looked like some sort of encyclopedia, but slightly larger than its normal size. After flipping almost half of the book’s content, finally she stopped.
“For example, Im and Kwon family, destined to be enemies for three generation. And if I remember correctly, they are entering their second generation. Both families are going to be gifted with an offspring, each a single girl. These families are ones you should take note of,”
Tiffany nodded.
“This is an example that hatred is not necessarily a bad thing. The hatred between these two children would be the drive that both families needed. Both children are seeds of what to be the next Korean pioneers in food industry. The competitive nature between the two will be the one that made them better. You must remember this, because both of them are ones responsible for Korean’s future economy.”
The superior gave a gentle smile to the other girl as she continued her sentence.
“I am vacating my spot really soon but I believe you would make a superb job in my place. A person with a pure heart as you is destined to be the leader. I just knew it when I choose you.”
She placed her hand on Tiffany’s head. Although her appearance and Tiffany’s look as if they were peers, but her stare was full of wisdom. It was not a surprise, coming from a person who had served for more than 500 years.
Tiffany returned the smile with her crescent moon eye smile and raised shoulder. It was one that had been the talk of the department these few days (actually years).
She returned her gaze back to the book and made a mental note to herself.
“Im and Kwon family, eternal enemies.”
