PROLOGUE

She looked at her wrist watch. 7:26 PM. "Guys, I need to go now."

"Running late for your date with Mr. Cutie, aren't you?" Sooyoung teased, grinning. She was munching onto her potato chips.

She meant Junho, Hyo's best boy friend for over a year now. The best friend whom she secretly loved.

"He has nothing to do with this. Just go and eat, Shikshin!" Hyoyeon tried to defend herself. "And we're not dating, okay?" she said, blushing, which earned her more teasing from her friends. Ugh! How she hated herself every time she blushed on a bad time like that. "Dad wants me to be home before 8PM. He said he has a surprise for me, and I'm eager to know what it was!" Hyoyeon said, now grinning. "So see you tomorrow, kids!"


She was already on her front door when her phone vibrated. She fished it out from her pocket and looked at the caller ID. She smiled when she saw his name registered on her phone screen. She read what the message was.

Hey, Hyo. ♥
Are you free at 3 pm tomorrow? I have something to give you. Meet me at the roof top, okay? I'll wait for you!

Her smile was like permanently glued on her face. She got inside her house and saw her Dad on the couch, watching TV.

"Hey," she brightly said as she dropped herself onto his father's lap. He made noise for the sudden weight dropped on him. She just laughed. "So, what's the surprise, Daddy. I want to know!"

"Oh, Hyo. You shouldn't be acting like a kid anymore. You're already grown up now." someone said and it wasn't her dad. She turned around to see the woman she longed to see for 3 years.

"MOM!" she jumped off her dad's lap and ran to hug her mom. "I miss you so much! You're staying right? You guys are now okay right?"

Her mom cupped her face with both hand and pressed their nose together. "And I miss you too, honey."

Her father just laughed. "Glad you like our surprise to you."

"LIKE?? I LOVE IT DADDY! i love you both!" she said, still hugging her mother.

"And one more thing, honey, Daddy was promoted. You remember that company he worked in China before he got assigned here in Korea right? He's now the General Manager of that company!" her mom told her.

Her eyes grew wide with excitement. "That is so cool, Daddy! So when are you going to move to China?"

"Not me, Hyo, us. Your mom, me, and you. The three of us." He said. That hit her. That means she was going to be separated with her friends. "We're moving back to China the day after your Graduation party." Graduation? that was like in 2 months from now! and another week for the party! "I talked to your uncle about this already."

"Isn't that great, sweety? We're going to be together again. Our family will now be complete once again!" her mom said excitedly. She just forced a smile, never wanted her parents to be worried about her.

Of course it was great to have my family completed again. And it was great opportunity for Daddy. He worked so hard to get that position. She sighed. I guess i need to start to forget everything I love in this place. Start forgetting about You, Junho. she thought as it felt like her heart was being squeezed by an invisible hand.

I'm breaking my own heart, but I'll live...
